I thought first maybe they just got their first camcorder, but given the length I agree that they were probably trying to figure out some sleep related issue with their child.
Chances are too, that this tape was recorded over again and again, and this was just the last recording. So one long record of a kid sleeping would not be that weird.
yes this was exactly what I thought about that one. Maybe the child suffered from night terrors or other medical condition. Being a parent, it doesn't seem weird to me at all.

the footage of Ronnie and the pilot gave me such bad chills. it sounds like such a normal flight, he's pointing out cool things for his passenger to look at. I'm glad they were found and were able to be laid to rest with their families.
The scary thing is, you can see them slowing the whole time without them really paying attention, same with the engine. They flew too high and too slow, their engine couldn’t give enough power to save them
I’m a pilot and I can say that your description of “density altitude” and its accompanying considerations was absolutely spot on. Usually channels don’t take the time to research that type of stuff and get it right. It instills confidence that you actually look into things and make an effort to get real information out there. Good stuff 👍

My brother used to get them, as a result of him wetting the bed and the alarms from the pad under him scaring him As we shared a room, it bugged me then, but nowadays I’m realizing a lot of things
I apparently got night terrors as a teenager after our house (and a huge portion of the entire city) got flooded and we had to live in a trailer for a while. I say "apparently" because, like you said, I have no memory of it whatsoever and never had any memories of it.
My two biological sons experienced these. My daughter would straight up sleep walk. I have a picture that looks like a possessed 3 year old waking me up at midnight lol.
I was a bad sleepwalking when I was little up until probably 10. I locked myself outside the house one night and I remember waking up in the front yard. I banged on the door like crazy but luckily my dad had just gotten a cell phone he left in his car and finally got it. They never said if I did the running and screaming tho

The Foster Falls story makes complete sense. I lived near there for a few years and have swam in that same pool to that same waterfall. The water is freezing, and even as an in-shape (albeit skinny) guy, I started to get cold and nearly lock up before reaching the water fall. Swimming in cold water when you can't touch the bottom is no joke.
Real one time I went kayaking with my friends earlier this year and since I’m a pretty fat person and we only had one 150 weigh capacity on the kayak my friend would go on it while I hung on the back and I felt like I pretty much was about to pass out when we reached the seemingly bottomless part of the lake it got so bad my friend had to turn to where we could both stand and just put the kayaks on our back and just walk to our destination
I was wondering what happened to him. Obviously he was young and in shape. So I was wondering if it was a heart/cardio issue. Your explanation makes sense. It is so sad that he wasn’t able to get someone’s attention before he began going under. I’m sure his friends feel awful even though it was obviously not their fault.
@@extragoogleaccount6061 one might assume thathe was a non swimmer accompanied only more other non swimmers so it's not so shocking that nobody could save him...
As someone who used to have really bad nightmares, I can 100% see a possibility that the parent was just recording the child to check up on them at night. Also, baby monitors. It’s not creepy to set up baby monitors, right? Baby monitors at the time were between 20-30 dollars, which was pretty expensive in the 90s. Recording could have definitely been their alternative for watching over their child.
I’m gonna be honest, that video of “Jason sleeping” could be something related to the child having a medical issue and the parent is recording to make sure they don’t have insomnia or something. Without context, it looks really weird. However, my parents used to check in on me at night to make sure my ears weren’t causing me extreme discomfort, since I had extreme ear problems and was in pain constantly.
My son has asthma and when he is sick I wake up every hour to count his breaths. Someone suggested me to use a monitor like this. So yes it makes sense.
It does make sense, and it's a good way to check constantly on someone without needing to get up regularly, as long as no one hacks the stream. I think older technology would be better for that.
When my kids where young, I used to a picture of them when they where sleeping (I have 2 pics), it is for sentimental reasons. Kids grow up so fast... That could be one of the reasons.
The last moments of the people on that plane were terrifying. It's hard to imagine the feeling of realizing you've lost complete control of the plane, knowing you won't survive.
I've heard this story before and it is so sad. Apparently training for pilots changed after this and its mandatory that they learn about atmospheric differences etc now.
They might have though they would survive since the plane flipped over last second, which is why they died. They probably would have survived if it didn't flip
@@lea-anne9133 It must have sucked for these guys not knowing atmospheric stuff correctly because they were flying a propeller plane, and that just makes it all the more important to know altitude density because you can only get so high before your propeller no longer have enough air particles to "cut" through and you can just fall. Weather nerd here! Just want to clarify one thing about The El Reno Tornado real quick! While being officially classified as an EF3, Doppler radar estimated wind speeds of higher than 300 miles per hour, way more than enough to be considered an EF5. The reason it wasn’t given an EF5 rating is because the tornado remained over mainly rural areas, and didn’t damage enough to be given such a high rating. No hate intended here! I do really like your videos, I just want to point something out for clarification!
i've seen that second video of the men in the plane hundreds of times in my life at this point and every single time i can't stop feeling so sad for them. they were having such a nice, lovely little flight but in a mere instant everything was over.
I have never heard of that crash until now, but I have camped at that lake they flew over at least 20 times. Meadow Creek Reservoir. I recognized the shoreline and mountain immediately.
@ i watch a lot of "scary videos/images taken before disaster" type videos lol. it's the digital equivalent to me of coming home and eating chips before you even think about starting dinner because you just don't feel like having a full meal right now
For those who are curious, the name of the arsonist in the first video is John Hannon. He was walking along a highway when he stumbled onto the road and was hit by a woman who had been drinking. It is believed John may also have been drinking...when 2 drunks meet.Anyway, his sad life came to an end in 2017.Surprized he lived as long as he did.
People are acting like the first guy was just a little weird. He was a sadistic animal torturer that used fire as a weapon to destroy things. That's not "a lil cringe." That's a psychopath.
I think people forget that “cringe” and “dangerous” are not mutually exclusive. plenty of serial killers said shit that was cringe as fuck, that didn’t make their victims any less dead. Richard Ramirez was a try-hard who didn’t brush his teeth and he’s still a monster.
Wanting to burn down houses to keep them from being built so you could keep playing in the field they're getting built on is one of the most juvenile things I have ever seen and is a textbook psychopathology. It's really quite the insight into the way antisocial people think and want
Wow, that plane footage has got to be one of the few real world examples of our colloquial understanding of “found footage”. It was real footage of a tragic event, lost to time and circumstance, and discovered naturally years later in a damaged state. Then restored to reveal answers to a years long mystery. It’s eerie how similar it is to what we’ve come to expect from found footage movies.
Can confirm. Before we discovered that my child has big tonsils, I was asked to get a video of him sleeping in order to show the doctors how bad his snoring is.
My girlfriend used to record me snoring as a gag. Her son sleepwalked clear into his early 20s. We were on vacation and I woke up at 3 AM to see him wrapped in a sheet trying to leave the room. He had no memory of it the next day.
I had to go to a sleep clinic at a London hospital. First of all, the sleep clinic was creepy because it was under renovation so it was dank, dark, and there were few staff around. It was so quiet that I thought I was the only one in the clinic. They recorded me as I slept and saw me getting up to use the toilet twice in the night. 😂
That last one must have been terrifying to view. He looks deranged. At least justice was served, and more importantly, the victim's family has closure.
I witnessed the 2011 tornado that went through Massachusetts. It came within 100 yds of my house. It was legit eerily calm before it passed. I didn't hear it coming at all. I only heard it when it passed and roared off.
Its moments like those where I wish people actually listened to our meteorologists & storm chasers, calm & silence is never a good thing when we hear the sirens... If it's quiet & calm you're about to hear a freight train spinning around you. (I was in school during the May 20th tornado & my dad was working up on the west side of OKC for both 20th & 31st so he was near both when they happened, it was terrifying knowing my dad was close to either.)
There’s a tornado channel on UA-cam that explains what happened. It’s about that particular tornado. One video shows a view from the car in front of them trying to outrun the tornado. It shows they are not far behind them and then they are gone. It’s worth a watch.
That was shocking to me as a _Stormchasers_ fan, because anyone who watched that knew that Tim Samaras was the most cautious one of them all. He never went into harm's way just to "get the shot", and sometimes other people on the show would give him a hard time and say he was TOO careful. The El Reno tornado was just too overwhelming.
@@InvincibleKonchu ua-cam.com/video/mbqwpwIlj88/v-deo.htmlsi=xPxvrCHxg4d9bUuR I think this is this one that shows the video front the car in front of them. I just remembered the hosts name I was trying to think of. I didn’t rewatch it yet, but I’ll find it if it’s not.

damn, the footage of Richard Ragland is so sad to me. seeing him smiling and having fun out on an adventure, knowing exactly how those events ended is heart-breaking. can't imagine how chilling it'd be to be the one to find the camera, too. it just goes to show how important safety is when out travelling/exploring, and how quickly a fun, exciting adventure can go so wrong.
@@samharwig6033 true, but drowning can happen surprisingly easily/quickly even in very public areas. especially since it's a waterfall in nature, it's very likely that he just went underwater and never came back up, and no one noticed until it was too late.

It's so sad hearing the pilot enjoying the scenery, having a pleasant flight with his friend, pointing out the lovely lake and cabins...only to have that be the day he died. Idk, that really got to me. 🥺
Damn The El reno footage still makes me cry out because the guys that I knew were idols in the community. We lost storm chasers that day that couldn't be avoided as it's unpredictable.... Chasers that day were distraught and saddened. We still remember them and still never forget them... It's heart breaking when you know the full footage from other well known chasers and friends of them then hear how devastating the whole tornado event was. We lost scientists... Veterans.. Friends.. Family and lovers that day
same here. i grew up watching storm chasers and vividly remember that day. it's a special kind of hurt when its not only your childhood hero, but someone who did massive amounts of good. most people here will probably have been too young or just never have been a part of that era to truly know just how insane that entire tornado was or how devastating the loss of team twistex was.
It’s easy to see something 30+ years ago and call it cringe because it’s basically a trope now. What certainly can’t be dismissed is burning down houses and mutilating animals. Imagine seeing your house being burned down to someone’s pleasure on a homemade video on TV. These are extreme anti-social behaviors in what appears from 2 very isolated individuals. Sadly for us, isolation has grown exponentially since then and anti-social behaviors are more common.

I don’t want to seem overly critical, but as a meteorology nut and storm chaser, I thought I’d give some additional context to the El Reno video. 1. Meteorologists cannot predict a tornados severity or whether or not it will have multiple vortices as described here. 2. Tornados are assigned a rating of severity based on their damage done. Nothing else. El Reno was never “an EF5 tornado.” It was officially rated an EF3. This is due entirely to it being in an open field and not impacting structures but it does matter for accuracy. Had it impacted well built structures, it almost certainly would have earned a higher rating on the Enhanced Fujita scale. 3. Paul and Tim Samaras were father and son, not brothers.
My parents have taped footage of me sleeping as a baby because Mom wanted to be able to watch it as I got older & remember me that way. It's kind of sweet in a strange sentimental way but not really creepy.
I guess Omar was just along for the ride as well” look at it Omar”. I feel like Omar got the bad end of the deal I think maybe the arsonist was just smoking pot with him or something and he was just trying to fit in.
Have watched a couple of your videos now and thank you for making such great content. Youre doing your own research and you dont take everything presented to you as a fact nor do you pretend theres some conspiracy behind every event, its rare to find a creator with such values nowadays!
For anyone who thinks the first case is in any way "funny" or just youthful mischief: the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this footage was the Macdonald triad. It's often through such behaviors that we can identify serial killers whose personalities develop in the early years of life. Fascination with pyromania, various beliefs, seemingly funny but inherently "thrilling" behaviors - these are common patterns. Additionally, the information that bloody knives and animal body parts were found in the garage speaks for itself. I've been delving into the topic of serial killers, and honestly, this case terrified me immensely
I wouldn't call it "funny", exactly, but I will say that the emotion induced in me by the crazy kid's monologues is much closer to "cringe" than "fear". The fact that he committed arson didn't prevent him from coming across as just a stupid edgy teenager.
A word of advice if you’re just getting into this- Just be careful when you read up on these things, the MacDonald Triad does not have great inter-rater reliability or validity. For all the studies that show a strong correlation between the MacDonald Triad & serial killers, there are just as many studies that show no correlation or insignificant results. The biggest issue around this is the reliance on self-reporting from the serial killers themselves. The data gathered is not empirical nor reliable, for example, in contrast, doctors suggest you may have DMII, so doc sends you to get blood tests done; results show elevated HbA1C & fasting glucose; three months later, repeat blood tests show same results, therefore you have DMII. We know a lot of serial killers are cunning & narcissistic, & depending on the situation, they’ll say whatever to get what they want.
@postindierock5063 It's kinda like a smirk or irritated smile to me. You gotta understand kids back then, they didn't have a massive catalog of sources for media entertainment and news. So that field probably is a playground to them and it's their source of entertainment. Imagine if you were a teen and some random rich dude took your phone or PC away by their rights and sold it for profit? I bet you'd burn this guy's belongings too. It's so dumb.
@@JudesChan Also important to note, that even when we have HbA1c and fasting glucose the results cannot be 100% relied upon. For example, HbA1c, depending on the ethnicity of the patient may be expressed in alternate forms. Similarly, some ethnicities have lower glucose uptake and higher fat content in plasma so the instrument can give skewed results. However, unlike in psychology where data is self-reported in the case of DMII we can empirically qualify HbA1c gene variants using HPLC or Lipo-clear and patient history for glucose.

The El Reno tornado is known as one of the strangest and most dangerous tornadoes on record. It changed course suddenly several times, catching many veteran storm chasers off guard and killing several people that day. It was a wicked storm.
I can never help but giggle at that first one, I know arson is bad but he sounds exactly like when you're a kid in your room and don't want your parents to hear you cussing.
That El Reno tornado really impacted my life. I was 7 or 8 back then and I lived in the town straight east from El Reno and I remember how the air felt during that day. That event got me interested in meteorology and now I’m in college pursuing that degree. Rest in Peace Twistex. Also slight edit, while the rating for that twister was originally an EF5, I believe it was lowered to an EF3 because the damage was more consistent with an EF3 than an EF5
Fun fact about the El Reno EF5 tornado: it might have had the strongest wind speeds ever recorded on Earth. The reason it is debatable is because of the 1999 Bridge Creek Moore tornado with 301 mph winds. However, that measurement had a margin of error of 20mph, so it could have been as high as 321mph or as low as 281 mph. Either way, that is on par with the red dot on Jupiter
The James & Ronald plane crash was so needless. It's upsetting to hear James talk about such beautiful things as the countryside, for only a few minutes later succumb to it. R.I.P to both men x
The tragic thing about the El Reno tornado is that the stormchasers did everything right based on their past experience. Typically tornadoes move west to east or southwest to northeast, so the tornado was supposed to wipe out El Reno itself. Knowing this, the stormchasers fled south away from the town. However the tornado surprisingly turned southeast, you can see on the map how the tornado's path is shaped like a smiley face. For the town of El Reno this was a miracle. Tragically the storm chasers had fled right into the tornado's path without even realizing it. They were caught completely off guard. 😢
The footage of the sleeping child could be a parent filming their sleeping child. It's a beautiful thing to see as a parent, the beautiful serenity of your child sleeping safely and soundly. Your child/children are the most perfect achievement in your life. Sometimes you wonder how you created this perfect little person and how much you love them in a way you never knew was possible.
I was driving home through El Reno on the interstate as the tornado was on the south side of the highway. The craziest thing is it was so wide and rain wrapped you couldn’t hardly see the actual tornado itself. It just looked like solid darkness from the sky to the ground.
@12:56 He did not stall the engine. It was a wing stall. The lack of airflow caused the wing to dip and the plane to turn downward in an unrecoverable dive.

They say the most simple explanation is usually the correct one.

I don't know why, but I found it extremely chilling how one of the stormchasers described their situation in the widest tornado ever as "eerily calm."
I remember that, I follow Reed Timmer. He talked about it.

It’s worth a watch.
That was shocking to me as a _Stormchasers_ fan, because anyone who watched that knew that Tim Samaras was the most cautious one of them all.
I appreciate these clarifications, sir!
I'm glad you said this and more concisely than I could, because I was about to unleash a rant that would have been way too long and pedantic, lol.

People who think it's funny aren't very bright...
For example,
HbA1c, depending on the ethnicity of the patient may be expressed in alternate forms.

The 2013 Moore tornado and 2013 El Reno tornado were 2 separate tornadoes in May of 2013. The former took place on May 20th while the latter took place on May 31st.
I remember the El Reno and Moore tornadoes, I was heading back home from a family vacation to Galveston Texas and I remember just seeing a black sky as we crossed into Oklahoma. The Moore tornado was also scary as we had to take shelter. I was 10 years old and was terrified. For further context I live in Newcastle which isn’t far from Moore and about 30 minutes away from El Reno.
@suicidalshrimp9812 Hello, neighbor. I'm in Galveston too
1:16 bro is not Sukuna💀
The guy in the first story sounds demented!
😂
He is demented! What kind of person films a burning house that’s presumed he caused and keeps repeating “My hell” over and over?
Hehehe
@@AnimalAlmighty😮
He sounds like Adam Sandler
I wish you could upload twice a week chilling scares bro. I love your videos and look forward to them so much.
The first video is unintentionally hilarious.
From the kid finding and taking a random vhs home. (As you do)
To Mr. Edge narrating a house fire.
@@1SpicyMeataball that wasn’t random at all…
Domain Expansion: Arsonist's Hell.
I remember watching a video that briefly talked about the incident in the second story. As soon as you said backpackers and 1987, I knew it was gonna be this plane wreckage story. I watched the whole footage one time, and it’s still creepy knowing that those two guys would be recording their last flight ever. Glad the two backpackers stumbled upon the wreckage, gave the families of the two guys some closure at least
“What a laugh”😂 😂😂
Showing a ford pinto in the first few seconds is the scariest thing you've done thus far...
had a 74
00:00 Stockton arsonist tape
09:33 1984 Tabernash Cessna crash
13:51 2013 El Reno tornado (Tim Samaras raw footage)
17:14 Tape 92 "Jason Sleeping"
21:08 Richard Ragland GoPro
22:38 "Homicide at Midtown Marriott" (Kathleen Jo Henry murder)
I'm from Stockton. It's a horrible city. Lots of gang activities. I saw three people get shot and pass on three different occasions. Crazy
Dude I've been BINGING your content after finding it 3 days ago and I was just looking for more videos when you uploaded this- thanks!!
Prepare for sadness once you get through them all.
Why do you think anyone cares ?
@@EnlightenedNekocomments are made to be read

🫵🏻🏴?🤝🏼
@StevenHunter9393 🏴 aye Scottish bro👌🤣
Honestly the Jayson Sleeping video might just be the parent trying to capture the child sleepwalking on camera
That first one was so cringe, that kid sounded so un intimidating, proper nerd.
2:29 has always sounded to me like a sound clip. It literally sounds exactly like a sound from Warcraft 3
Knoll death sound
I came to the comments to say this. I've heard this sound clip hundreds of times. Looks like this part was lifted from Spike TV and I wonder if they piped in that audio or if it's present on the original tape.
Came here to say this lol
Sup fellow nerds lol
yess its a stock sfx i believe kinda hilarious to put it in
Lmao the first guy speaks like he's in a youtube skit.
Omar looks like the dude from the "grave robber" video that had never been solved
I think they are linked. If I remember correctly, they seem to have linked Omar to the grave robber. Not positive though.
I really enjoy your videos, Straight forward with the facts, no filler, annoying music, or editorial comments. As a technical librarian and editor, I wanted to mention a few things to you for use in future videos. From previous videos, the "t" in "cabaret" is silent and the last "t" in "tarot" is silent as well. From this video, the "t" is pestle is also silent. You would think these words are from the same language, with all the silent "t" involved, but "tarot" is Italian, "cabaret" is French, and "pestle" is Latin, but the French and Italian are both romance languages descended from Latin, so they are very similar languages. I know the old expression goes "mind your p's and q's" but perhaps one should add to mind your t's as well.
The t is not silent in pestle.
