The return of RECIPE?! is making self-isolation so much better. The first time I watched Hot for Food was in 2015/16. Ah good old days...
Do you remember what was the 1st Hff's video you watched? 😁
Eating noises are back! This will split the crowd! hahah I'm here for it! Pasta looks amazing! Definitely something I'd make. I'm a chef so don't necessarily need it, but I love how many tips you're dropping in these latest videos in a very non-condescending way! Very useful for people getting into cooking without needing all the specific ingredients you have :) Love ya Lauren! x
Normally I'm not bothered by eating noises too much but something about the way she eats I always skip the end of the videos, haha XD more power to you!
@@courtneyshock2792 haha I think it's just the location of her microphone!
@@sophiesophster maybe, she also really tries to taste things so she smacks her lips a lot. This video didnt actually bother me much.
The eating noises KILL me. Misophonia is a bitch, and her noises trigger the shit out of it for me lmao. I always skip past the eating portion or mute it. It's honestly so extremely maddening, and if someone was eating like that near me in person, I'd think they were super rude lol. OTHER THAN THAT, I adore Lauren and her recipes are always AMAZING - I've tried lots of them myself. GOD the eating noises are awful, though.
Missed hot for food a lot! Wednesday is back to being the best day of the week 😁
Loving this series. Feels like the good old days of hotforfood!
yes!!!!!!!!
I took some cooked white beans and processed them with some pasta water, nooch, and a little coconut creamer as the base of a cream sauce.
turning pasta into soup is kinda genius because I always make way too much pasta and then get sick of it and don't want to eat the rest lol
EXACTLY!
I very much appreciate that you still tried to go through with the new series in the beginning of 2020 despite covid
i'd watch recipe?! videos until the end of the world. most entertaining content ever. :) last week you've made me cook that laksa thing, this week, i'll have pasta soup :D
You had me at the thumbnail, I'm already drooling! 🤤
Especially if we’re stuck at home for longer, I CANT WAIT for your cookbook and for these videos to continue!!!!!! I’ve never been so excited in my life, even in my life pre quarantine
hahaha well that's nice to hear :D thanks for watching!!
I’ve been distracted and missed watching a bunch of these. Recipe?! Has been such an inspiration for learning to cook intuitively.
Hope you enjoy! thank YOU :D
I love how you create broths and sauces out of veggies and beans. I so need to try this!
I've been making a lot of pasta similar to this. Instead of capers I use marinaded artichokes and add some of the brine, with cherry tomatoes, spinach, and another random veggie. Last time I used corn and it was poppin!! Yours looks bomb, totally going to go that route next time!
so happy these are back!! missed these so much.
instead of pasta water to lift the caramelised juices off the bottom, a little bit of wine or even brandy would be mmmmmm chefs kiss
YES! YUM! for those that have it
I love all the tips! It’s good to hear your thought process. Thanks Lauren!
It feels like back to the roots and I love it! I love the recipe? Videos so much ❤️
i adore this series so much! i remember a few years ago RECIPE?! inspiring me to cook more with whats left.. i really came to a point of becoming a master of freestyling through this :D thank you so much lauren! :)
Yaaaay a Recipe?! And I, too, enjoy turning leftover pasta into soup, so thank you for this video, I feel like I learned lots of new ways to make it more complex and flavourful!
Lovvvvveeeee this!! In the days where we need to use up our fridge contents as opposed to running out and buying more, this is an excellent recipe!! Like an Italian sausage Ramen. ❤️❤️
This is really helpful Lauren. Thank you so much for the great content
I’m loving the return of recipes?! ❤️
They both look so delicious. My mouth is watering.
SO HAPPY LONGER VIDEOS ARE BACK
I made this a few night ago (both versions) and it was absolutely incredible!

I love that you are putting out these recipe videos...especially as we work with what’s on hand, what’s about to go bad, how to be really mindful about not wasting what we have and repurposing remainders and leftovers. More please!

This was awesome. Im not usually a fly by the seat of my pants kinda person in the kitchen but you've totally inpired me. Got an eggplant last week cause it looked so plump and fresh but i had no idea what to do with it. Gona go out on a limb and make a pasta dish with some sauteed eggplant, crushed tomatoes, spinach, herbs and garlic. Here goes nothing! Lol! Also got your cookbook on pre-order! Cant wait! 😁

Oooooo courgette cake looks bloody lovely 🤩🤩🤩
We eat pasta & beans ( variations) 3 times a week. Must try this one
Delicious!
me the whole video: "is that nutritional yeast on her shirt???" until she confirmed it lol!!

My sister has started to get into baking and is learning from you channel. :) Great work!
I have a request for `"RECIPE?!"`, could you try to replicate the, Hail Merry Tart (Sweet Potato)
Zel that’s awesome to hear!
Yes.. I love to make soup with left overs and what ever.. They are fabulous! I also love putting nooch in them.. it gives it a fatty mouthy feel.. IDK how to say it. I LOVE the Beyond meat burger and sausages.. they great!!! I have a bunch. lol. Love that you doing so much in the kitchen... I LOVE COOKING and BAKING. Love it! It is meditative to me also. I loose track of time.. be in there all day. LOL Love you so much!! xoxoxo OH yes before I forget.. SHE TASTES THE FOOD AGAIN. YES!! I love your excitement when tasting it. I am the same.
EATING ON CAMERA!!! haha
which brand of vegan hard parmesan did you use?
I love watching your videos. Brings some normalcy to this wierd state we are in
aww thanks - appreciate it xo
missed u so much
omg...that cake!
I made your Mac and 🧀 today. Yum yum 😋
LOVE IT!
Omg that zucchini cake looks fucking awesome! You are one bad ass lady!
it's to die for!
Boil your pasta in salted water with vegan bouillon paste!! LIFE CHANGING
You're a vegan wizard
I totally thought you said something other than “focus” in the beginning there 🤣.
Looks amazing!
Please save more of the pasta water-so much flavor and starch, it would’ve been great for the broth soup base!
And, it can be saved and reused to cook the next round of pasta, rice or whole grains-already salted and ready to go!
good point, but I didn't think of that!
What kind of vegan cheese do you use?
The fact that I recognized the nooch god immediately
Yes the food looks great but praise the nooch !
I usually salt my pasta water once it comes to a boil. Not sure if that makes any difference at all. 🤷🏻♂️
I thought the company recommended not freezing the beyond meat sausage, patties or ground beef because freezing it a 2nd time and then thawing it leads to a bad texture? Though if the texture isn't too bad cooking straight from frozen, I might try that.
I haven't found that at all!
I definitely freeze all the time. And actually they sell frozen!! It’s awesome.
❤🧡💛
Can I use the water pf any bean jar as the aquafaba? I know and love the chickpea one, but how about kidney beans?
WanidaMae obvs im not lauren, but I think you can use any type-- my understanding is that people tend to use chickpeas or white beans because the aquafaba from those is a neutral color. So any other bean you use could influence the color of what you're cooking/baking
WanidaMae what they said 👆
molly thank you!
hot for food hff answering my question just totally completed my day. Greetings from Switzerland
YAY FOR THIS SERIES BACK
That 🎂!
What brand of pasta is that? I can never find a vegan version of that style of pasta. Thanks!
I ordered this amzn.to/340jJX7
@@hotforfood Thank you so much!
Yes, sundried tomatoes are readily still available, even at the dollar store!
NICE!
I’m so hungry 😭
When’s the new cookbook coming?? 😩❤️
