This may sound weird but sometimes when I watch your channel, I forget that it's vegan. Like, to me this is just delicious, nourishing recipes that look absolutely beautiful and that I really to try out! Thank you for making veganism so approachable and delicious. ❤
For me it's just beautiful, delicious, nuorishing food. Which I eat one day. The another day I eat meat. See, the good thing is, you don't have to forget it's vegan. You can just enjoy delicious food, one day meatless, another day you can eat steak or bolognese 😍
Sadia, A big thank you from Holland. My sister, mom and I started living a vegan lifestyle and also started incorporating some minimalistic elements. We have different motives tho: save the planet (all), fight high blood pressure (mom), become a home made chef (sister) and support an athletic and active life (my sister and I). Even our dad doesn’t eat meat anymore, and cut down on dairy! Because of the partial lockdown my sister and I, who study in different cities, live at home at our parent’s house for a few weeks and we reconnect and every night cook amazing dishes for each other. And of course, half of the recipes are yours haha! You and the people you work with and connect with here on this channel have played a very, very big role in this. This is a safe haven for people who for example watch the Game Changers and want to make this lifestyle their own. It’s because of you guys we proudly carry the name vegan, and I always recommend PUL to everyone interested. Keep inspiring, and we hope you all stay safe and healthy during this pandemic. Much love from Arnhem (and Delft and Groningen)

cleo mina paneer is a type of cottage cheese. While it is delicious, it would make the dish not vegan. If that isn't an issue for you though, I'd say give it a try c: (I just watch for the recipes, I’m not vegan but a lot of the recipes on pul are very wholesome) Edit: The texture tends to be softer though, so it may not hold its shape like a firm tofu would.
For Indians curry, naan and rice is a must everyday and getting these recipes recommended by a nutritionist makes us happy🤗 And yes these are traditional food that is passed on over centuries.
@@la4549 naan is an Indian bread made from mostly of a dough made up of flour and milk , youghurt etc sometimes from water and rarely from eggs( for those who are not vegans) for the fluff. You really need to give "Palak Panner" a try .. u can use tofu instead of paneer to make it vegan. It tastes incredible with either roti/naan/rice. Another amazing Indian "curry" that I would like an vegan alternative is for "Methi Mattar Malai" (Fenugreek based curry). If you can develop some vegan recipe for it, it would be incredible !

Amazing recipes, Sadia!! As an Indian, I can see that though these are all adapted recipes, you have done your research on Indian techniques of cooking, from marinating with yoghurt to roasting whole/ground spices instead of just adding in "curry powder". Fun fact to those who might be unaware: traditional Indian dishes like Aloo Matar [peas and potato] or Palak paneer/tofu (spinach and Indian cottage cheese/tofu for those of us who prefer to veganise the dish) all have unique names and aren't all called "curry", and so no one uses "curry powder"! Just made the butter 'chicken' - it was divine! Thank you Sadia! Given we are all in self-quarantine, I made these subs & it still worked out amazing: 1) used ketchup instead of tomato paste; 2) used lemon juice instead of lime; 3) used dried parsley in the mix instead of fresh cilantro on top; 4) didn't have yoghurt so I baked my tofu with just the dry spice rub. Still tasted great!
I've been cooking for my family every Tuesday and I made the vegan butter chicken recipe. Everyone loved it, and even though I doubled the recipe, there were still no leftovers! I really love all your recipes, that make cooking vegan really easy and delicious.

Great recipes! I made the naan and butter vegan. I don’t know how how you stay so clean. I made a big mess in the kitchen but family loved it. You have a great channel.
Sadia, Thank for all your tips, recipes, and plant ideas. I started transitioning to a vegan life style thanks to your UA-cam show. I'm still eating whats left in my fridge, but not buying any more meats. Salmon will be difficult to give up so I may keep that and have less often. After trying a few of your recipes and those of other vegan UA-camrs, I'm noticing that I have fewer cravings at night because I'm more nourished. Also, my digestion has improved. More plants around the house while I'm sheltering in place is also a benefit. In California, many of your ingredients are actually cheaper than meat. Another reason, I'm moving to vegan is the original cause of the corona virus; mistreating wild animals for meat in Chinese wet markets. Again, thank you for your valuable contribution to the health and well being of the world! Linda
I've already made the potato and pea curry several times and every single time it's a major hit, with me ánd the people with whom I've shared this delish recipe with. Also; super easy and quick to make. Love it!
Hi Sadia, All the curries look delicious. If a person had a nut allergy, what can they use to replace the nuts in the last curry or in any of the other recipes on the channel?
I believe (and I'm no expert, so take it with a grain of salt) that nuts are either used for creaminess, protein, or both in her recipes so I would recommend substituting a seed butter like tahini for creaminess and protein or even just adding other creamy ingredients (coconut milk, plant-based yogurt, etc) Hope this helps!
I just made the potato and green pea curry .. it’s delicious 😋 even though I didn’t have all the spices she used still turned out very yummy 🤤 ... Thank you for the recipe 😘

Hey Sadia! Much love to you! But, here's a question I had on my mind: Since coconut oils contain higher amounts of saturated fats compared to other oils, is it wise to use them as a medium for every cooked dish or shall we alternate it with olive oil or any other oil for that matter?

The whole idea of these dishes is from Indian food...m so proud of my Indian vegetarian food...people around the world make their own variations...it's good to see our spices and our dishes like this..
hahahahaha. Nice try sister.
@@anikah8193 The north indian Kitchen and afghan Kitchen has a lot in common and that for centuries. It is not "our" Dishes and also not "your" Dishes... It is ours (india+pakistan+afghanistan), okay, maybe i want to exclude Pakistan becaus I hate them 🤣🤣🤣
hi Sadia (: just wanted to say your potato and green pea curry recipe has been the best curry I've ever made! I've probably made it 5 times now during the pandemic, once left on the door step for my friend whos a nurse. its such a filling comforting meal thats so easy, thank you for sharing. (also I added eggplant once and it was AMAZING, would recommend to anyone)
Your India viewers are going to be so happy. Amazing recipes, I liked the detailed ingredients that you've used today, especially mustard seeds. And like the way you say "Garam masala" , hehehe. Thanks Sadia for vegan versions of the authentic Desi recipes ☺️
I made the eggplant curry last week and it was delicious! I loved the dried apricots so much that I added even more to my individual bowl. Looking forward to trying the potato and green pea curry this week! Thanks for the great recipes Sadia! ♥️
Yes! The apricots taste SOOOOOOO good! I really enjoy watching Sadia's channel and hope I can inspire my audience like she does one day!
Hi, I'm a teen trying to go more vegetarian, and your vids are super inspiring so thank you! 🌱🌱
So happy to read this!! Best of luck
Ive been into veggie recipes since2012,love it,at one time homeless in a car we ate what we were blessed to get this is where we learned to love vegetables more.
Chana Masala has been my go to curry since this whole lockdown, minimal ingredients but super flavorful!
I love that she didn't try to call naan "pita bread" or "flatbread" 😂😂🙄❤️
I've only seen white people do that haha. She is ethnically Afghan, so she knew not to :D
@@MissCupcakeslover oh I've heard tonnes of people who call naan anything but naan and these are brown people 😂🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
...or worse, "naan bread"
... I'm guilty of the "naan bread" hahaha....haha..ha 😅🙃
Originality...
Can’t wait to try these recipes they look amazing grew up eating curry in a Bengali household I definitely want to try these plant based version as I love my vegetable curries😍😋
OMG. I made the last recipe and it is so good. I don't have to pay $17 at a restaurant anymore (unless I'm lazy to cook). So good and makes my taste buds dance around. Love it Sadia!
Just made the butter 'chicken' - it was divine! Thank you Sadia!
Given we are all in self-quarantine, I made these subs & it still worked out amazing:
1) used ketchup instead of tomato paste;
2) used lemon juice instead of lime;
3) used dried parsley in the mix instead of fresh cilantro on top;
4) didn't have yoghurt so I baked my tofu with just the dry spice rub.
Still tasted great!
You can try making Samber a south Indian dish which is full of flavor and vegetables , best part its super healthy !
With all this extra time on our hands from quarantine, I’m finally going to take time to try these delicious looking dishes! 😋
I bet you don’t have small kids around 😂
I've been cooking for my family every Tuesday and I made the vegan butter chicken recipe. Everyone loved it, and even though I doubled the recipe, there were still no leftovers! I really love all your recipes, that make cooking vegan really easy and delicious.
Make 'aviyal' Kerala traditional curry. You will love it. Some vegies bathed in coconut paste with cumin and green chillies together with some plant based curd.
Good idea Sadia??
Aysha N u r correct. most kerala traditional curries r vegan friendly....
good one Aysha,I feel Sambhar is totally vegan....erusseri..The list can go on and on..
The 'Butter Chicken' is to die for! I made it yesterday, we couldn't stop eating it. I'm making it again for tonight ;-) The Naan recipe is also absolutely delicious and goes well with the 'Butter Chicken'. Thank you Sadia for this wonderful inspiration!
Love love love.. last one is the besttt.. Sadia please do a tea time Tuesday. In these difficult times, I am sure all would like to hear you talking :)
4:50 while I was making this incredible curry my non vegan parent's mouth were literally watering because the aroma was so similar to the mutton curry they make. That was when I truly felt proud of what I was creating, thanks to you!
Just made the naan. Love it! I am sooo gonna use this recipe a million times. Thank you so much for sharing, Sadia! ♡
Sadia your recipes are delicious, I'm trying them from time to time and they all ending up in home favorites. We are not vegans but we are still enjoying all you are sharing. Thank you much.
Pineapple curried tofu and rosemary curried lentils: my two favorite curry dishes! 🤗
Can't wait to try these. Thanks! Love curries in our house and our favorite way to serve them is on a bed of sliced raw cabbage with rice/naan on the side. Adds great texture and reduces the amount of rice/naan consumed.
I absolutely love the way you've made naan in this. I love naan and the cooking part gets a bit complicated in indian kitchens but this one's easy. The curry looks so so delicious! Thank you for this. Hope you're safe! ♥️
Sometimes i just rewatch your videos a d play them in the background because your voice is so warm and soothing!!! Love all of your recipes
It's really soothing when you say "Garam Masala"😂
I also realized that you are a UBC Vancouver alumni! I'm a student at UBC as well! I love the creativity in making these recipes vegan and have learnt so much about wholesome foods and vegan nutrition from your channel. Thank you so much!
Completing my spices rack because of your recipes!!! I have chronic arthritis that's why your channel is perfect for me.. Thanks Sadia!
Wow how did I just discover your channel. So good! Thanks for all the tips.
I just discovered your channel Sadia, and it is an absolute joy to watch these during this quarantaine time. Thanks you for putting so much attention to details, happiness and joy in your work!
I've never made naan and I will for sure
Stay safe everyone during these tough times💛
Wow! So grateful to have stumbled upon your videos. The music and your voice is so calming (the opposite of me in the kitchen!) Looking forward to trying the green curry for lunch today. Stay golden!
I ADORE curries! The perfect comfort food! This definitely has me thinking of making a big pot. Appreciate you as always 😘
Great recipes! I made the naan and butter vegan. I don’t know how how you stay so clean. I made a big mess in the kitchen but family loved it. You have a great channel.
Sadia,
Thank for all your tips, recipes, and plant ideas.
Linda
Aw! So sweet to hear that you're making a transition in a way that works for you! I wish you the best in your vegan cooking adventures. :-)
I've already made the potato and pea curry several times and every single time it's a major hit, with me ánd the people with whom I've shared this delish recipe with. Also; super easy and quick to make. Love it!
Hi Sadia,
All the curries look delicious. If a person had a nut allergy, what can they use to replace the nuts in the last curry or in any of the other recipes on the channel?
I believe (and I'm no expert, so take it with a grain of salt) that nuts are either used for creaminess, protein, or both in her recipes so I would recommend substituting a seed butter like tahini for creaminess and protein or even just adding other creamy ingredients (coconut milk, plant-based yogurt, etc)
Hope this helps!
@@Theo-xd4so Thanks! I'll try that out.
You are such an inspiration!!!!
I just made the potato and green pea curry .. it’s delicious 😋 even though I didn’t have all the spices she used still turned out very yummy 🤤 ... Thank you for the recipe 😘
Sadia - I bought ingredients to make the apricot eggplant recipe and I am so excited to try it. It has so many of my fave flavors: eggplant, cilantro, lemon, yogurt, cinnamon, .. I know it's going to be an experience; I've never seen that combo before! - May
Why does she strongly remind me of monica from friends, the voice, so soothing, then she cooks. Omg, so similar , gonna try these recipes , thankyou😄
Right on time. Watching this during the quarantine and all I have have in my pantry is beans and potatoes and random seasonings (that I just organized...re: quarantine).
Oh I love that potato curry, in India we kinda have a different version of the same and we have it with Dosa/Chapati/Poori :)
The first recipe is also very similar to the Indian baingan ka bharta
Thank you Sadia for these indian inspired recipes. Will definetly try them out especially the naan and butter Tofu. You are always in my kitchen when I am cooking (on my ipad).Love your E-book recipes so simple and delicious. Stay safe and keep healthly.

Thanks for saying hi, Alima 🤗 lots of love to you too!
I love this channel, I learned so much through it as I become vegetarian last year, thank you so much Pick up limes.
wanna give advice for even easier naan because as for me this one is too fancy + I quit sugar too.
so I just did naan today, with flour (350gr), boiled water (250 gr) a pinch of salt and olive oil (2 tbs), that's it, the dough is very soft, I just ate like two naan for breakfast 😂, you can try, I can assure you it yummy.
Stay blessed and healthy❤️🙏🏻

I can’t wait to try these! I’m not able to fully embrace veganism for several reasons, but I am learning many great ideas on how to add more plant-based meals to my repertoire. Thanks!
Watching your curry videos these days made me realise that i just need to replace our cooking oil with coconut oil and add coconut milk to the curry (we mostly add dry coconut powder) . Else every thing s same 😁😄.. ❤️ 🇮🇳 India
You shine like a sunflower! Your chanel made me try different way of cooking and living for the first time in my life. Thank you! Keep doing your thing and making people smile! Love your content!
I love curry! This is perfect for right now, while we are all self-isolating. Warming and filling dishes are a must. Thanks for the great video. You never disappoint! I want that potato and green peas curry tonight! Would you mind sending me some? 😄
It all looks so delicious
Just made and ate the lentil eggplant curry and it was really delicious!! I’m going to try the rest !!! I love your videos❤️❤️❤️You are my inspiration 😍
This Eggplant lentil apricot curry is TO DIE FOR !!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS RECIPE, It is my new favorite dish
Hey Sadia! Much love to you!
But, here's a question I had on my mind: Since coconut oils contain higher amounts of saturated fats compared to other oils, is it wise to use them as a medium for every cooked dish or shall we alternate it with olive oil or any other oil for that matter?
Mukulika Sharma and also is it worth the extra monetary cost?
Can't wait to try all of these! Thank you very much dear Sadia!
Stay safe!
Try "Aamti" its a lentils curry or soupe kind of dish...great vegan recipy... Belongs to India particularly from state Maharashtra....
You should make a video explaining which kitchen items you find useful. So what pans should you use, etc. I love your video’s! Always puts a smile on my face :)
Sister, your recipes look delicious. I've been wondering about how to make naan for sometimes and suddenly, here there is. Thank you! 😉😊🤗
I love the way you explain. So calm and sweet 💓
