Very insightful indeed! Would be one of my main concerns setting up to live somewhere new - the location and getting it right on the most important aspects! :)
@@ByMagdaYT Absolutely agree - even in our own country, when Lesley had moved away to work we spent most of the time just looking at the different areas trying to make sure we understood just how safe she would be living there and travelling to work etc...
Hello, honestly never heard of it but if I were you I would just check on google maps your connection to your workplace and if it's good and you have lower prices than in the Lux city, go for it! But remember you'll have probably last buses/trains around 9 pm
Very insightful indeed. Just wondering if bertrange is something you would consider? Taking into consideration buses and groceries? My work will be based in strassen and for my wife it will be in gasperich.
Hey! Yes it sounds nice in case of connections to work - for you it will be super close to work and for your wife 20/30 min by bus (direct should be) and for groceries it's perfect because You have big Lidl and Delhaize in Strassen so should be just perfect. However have in mind that it's gonna be a bit further away from the city center at night so not that easy to go back home if you go out at night (but possible) so yeah sounds good I think 😊 also it's more quiet area
I would say exactly the same as on the video - there are 3 buses arriving there and two of them go from Hamilius and number one goes from Strassen/Belair also something goes from Merl so I would say any place that allows you to have a direct bus there otherwise it's a mess unless you have many buses to Hamilius and than you have two buses from the to Findel 😊 I hope it helps!
Hello! I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in this video or another video about flats - check out the Luxemburg playlist ☺️ thanks a lot for your comment too!
We are going to move to Luxembourg soon from New York, i am pretty lost where I can find a good school district (9 year old boy & 6 years old girl). , Appreciate it
Hello, sorry I don't have kids so it's hard for me to help you but I know that there are both good privet schools and public, idk how it's for people from US but I've heard good options About European school (but they are quite expensive)
@@jmaustinbook127 no clue honestly 🙈🙈 I hope you'll make a good choice, maybe try to find some parents Facebook groups or try to ask at your workplace (I assume you come here for work)
Hi Magda thank you so much for the information. I have been trying to get accommodation outside Luxembourg way too expensive. May I suggest that you share house sharing rentals mobile phones numbers in your have. I am based in Africa
Hello! Thank you for your videos!! I'm moving to Luxembourg and will be working in Kirchberg -- do you know if Kirchberg is a nice area to live in, or is it lacking except for business (would you prefer to live elsewhere)? Also, what did you mean by living in the city center is not nice -- is it too noisy? Do protests usually occur in the city center, around the EU institutions, or both? Thank you!
Hi! Thanks for your comment ☺️ Kirchberg is more business related but you'll see there bars and restaurants too however that's more for afterwork, on Friday and weekend you'll see people in the city center hanging out also at night and Kirchberg will be much longer to go back to (I would say Pfaffental it's much nicer). About center, I'm confused because I live in center and it's nice (idk I said it's not) but it's very difficult to find something, about the protests yes they happen quite often but mostly their moving or are in the squares that it will be truly difficult to find place to live in so I wouldn't say they could bother you so much (unless you're annoyed by 5 min noise) 🙈 some protests occurred in front of Court of Justice but they basically evacuated whole Kirchberg and sent most of the people to work from home (or at least recommend) also because it was difficult to move around there that day but It was like in Oct and haven't heard of any big protest close to EU institutions since
@@JohnPaul-qu8hi if it's in Lux I would say go to Lux city even if it's not the cheapest, other cities in Lux will have very similar prices to Lux city and you will have to waste time on communing ☹️ much cheaper are cross boarding countries you can find place in Trier in Germany, Thionville or Metz in France or Arlon in Belgium but where you have to pay for public transportation and water time on it and in the morning it takes forever :c
Hey Magda! Great content. I have found a great apartment in Bonnevoie. It does not seems too far away from the city center - 30 minutes of walking. What would you think?

For sure! The most important part is to understand where is safer to live I think 🙈

The murder rate is about 0.3 per 100.000 , so a bit less than 2 murders a year, usually spouses killing each other.
Good to know 😱🙈
