    Zach Bombsta from Pivotal Pleb has come up with a device to allow you to run a single hashboard from an S19j Pro with the same efficiency as running the full machine and you can do it from any plug in your house..

    Or you could solder up the right y cable adapter, and using 2 120v plugs running off 2 separate breakers...you can rig up any 240v asic to run on 120v...

      They would have to be on separate legs of the 240 volt supply. Also, you'd want to use a breaker which mechanically connects the two, so that both are flipped when one side is overloaded.

      Hahaha, some of the other firmwares you need to set a jumper on the board, but Vnish works with autotune as is! Even on the beta firmwares

    • @shredz4816
      @shredz4816 Рік тому

      When I used autotune on Vnish auto tuning for the 3800 profile it would go nuts and my wall reading would start at 4800 watts, thought my PSU was going to explode. For that reason I prefer LuxOS

      @@shredz4816 Whoa! In my experience 4800 is the VERY top an S19 power supply will go before the CHAIN BREAK.. I wonder why yours did that. I do like the feature on LuxOS where you can change the speed profile and it will raise or lower the hash speed without a restart. Thats very cool. Vnish tells me theyre working on that, too, though, for the record.

    i live in europe so im lucky enough to be able to plug intoo 220 volt on every outlet in the house still 16 amp fuses though so the safe max is 2.816 watts per fuse , sumting i would like to see is firmware that allows 4 hashboards to be mounted on one controllboard
    my thinking is : downclocking the hashboards so they can all run on a stock psu without overloading it
    this should result in older miners running higher hashrates at close to the same amount of power consumption and do so reliably because the asicchips work at a lower temperature
    i have seen videos of a siamesed s9 setup running 6 hashboards with a single controllboard and psu and after some searching found the russian company that wrote the firmware to do it , unfortunately they dont respond to emails asking about firmware to get 4 ports to work on the bitmain s19 series controllboard

    The reason they run at 240 is to save you power... Run anything at lower voltages = more watts

    • @nelsonfigueroa3198
      @nelsonfigueroa3198 8 місяців тому

      And the same applys for running it at 480 = less watts

      In my case I'm looking at this because I'm renting and looking to move into my own home soon so installing a 240v circuit isn't reasonable, but I could still get a miner that's actually good bang for the buck

    • @Ingallsgarage
      @Ingallsgarage 6 місяців тому +1

      I think the purpose of this is for someone who doesn't have access to a 220v and running at the same or comparable efficiency is a bonus. Like myself who uses old miners for heat since I'm using the power anyway might as well get something back for it and due to all the failsafe features to protect the hardware it's a little safer than a typical space heater, but obviously not completely safe like the no no of using the wrong cables or extention cords and so on.

    • @2muchtime26
      @2muchtime26 4 місяці тому +2

      This is incorrect... you'll have same amount of watts but if you run lower volts you increase the amps which most people aren't equipped for. If you ran 220v at 20 amps you would have to run 110v at 40 amps for same power requirements. More amps means larger wire sizing needed.

      @@timothyyoung980 Im sure there are other reputable off-site ASIC hosts, but I have specifically taken the time to meet Musk Miners in person to confirm theyre legit. Ive been to their multiple facilities and seen their business license and insurance paperwork.. So I feel comfortable sending people to them where its kind of scary to send off machines to someone you dont know much about. They will accept machines you already own if you're also going to buy some more hardware from Musk Miners. Or if you have I think 5 or more machines. Or if you just give them a call and have a good conversation about your plans; theyre good people to work with and will usually make accommodations in exchange for a working relationship.
