They are very very low maintenance. The frequency you need to clean them depends on the air in the place you’re running them; I filter the air that goes into my server room so as long as I replace those filters once every couple months, I basically never have to clean the actual machines.
I have found a helpful video , but I'm also interested in learning about the maintenance aspects. Could you please recommend tutorials or resources where I can learn the basics of maintenance for mining equipment such as the Antminer, Avalon miner, or any other mining equipment
Loving the content! You've shown me the path -s19j pro with the "cannon" config but $0.12 kw/h :( earned a sub and I eagerly await the next bull run to see you flourish ❤️
I’m still running machines hosted by that same company, but they have moved things to Oklahoma. And yeah, it’s real real hard for pretty much anyone to make money mining now. Still works pretty well for close to free heat for the winter season, so we just need the price to recover by spring!
I'd be interested in knowing whether anyone has ever tried using the stack effect for hot air removal in a mining application. No fans. Just a very tall chimney.
is there a quick way to find out if there's an issue with one of your hashboards? now my realtime hash rate won't come on. all other indicators say they are working correctly. I asked ChatGPT what the error codes mean, and it told me this: This log indicates that there is an issue with one of the hash boards on your Antminer. The specific error message is "Chain 1 only find 4 asic, will power off hash board 1". This means that only 4 ASIC chips were found on chain 1, which is not the expected number, and as a result, the hash board is being powered off. Additionally, the log shows an "ERROR_SOC_INIT: soc init failed!" message, which indicates that there is a problem with the system-on-a-chip (SOC) initialization. This error message is likely related to the issue with the hash board.
Yes there is a quick way. Disconnect hash board 1. Then turn everything back on. You should see a hashrate of 2/3rds the expected speed. If it’s a 100TH machine, it should run at 66TH. If that fixes your issue and simply runs slower, then you’ll know something is wrong with that hash board. You can run it this way indefinitely if you want to!
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE I have been running it on low power mode bc it’s in my garage. The Hashrate would disconnect when on normal and if temp got over 70. I noticed yesterday it was only running at 50 Th/S (should be around 80-90). I tried rebooting the machine which usually fixes the hashing issue, but now it won’t hash at all.
@@TravisHeadleyMD If you feel confident in opening the thing up, I would unplug it and just disconnect the orange and white ribbon that goes to hashboard 1. If youre looking at it from the perspective of the control board I think thats the hashboard on the right. And then turn it back on.
@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE i tried unplugging the ribbon to the hashboard (tried 2 separate times checking each side independently). It did not work. The red light on the front of the ASIC is showing red (FAULT). Ran the log again and asked ChatGPT what it meant - the main error in this log is "ERROR_SOC_INIT: basic init failed!" which occurs at 2023-04-28 13:41:12. This error message indicates that the initialization of the System-on-a-Chip (SoC) has failed, which is likely preventing the mining process from starting. The subsequent error messages "stop_mining: basic init failed!" and "No full chain exist, exit." indicate that the mining process has been stopped due to this error.
Hi, love your videos! I think there's still a lot BTC to be mined and it's still profitable with the hosting them at muskminers. Could you make a video about the progress in Louisiana? I am still waiting....
I was considering making a video on where each component of a bitcoin miner comes from, all the way down to where they dig up the ore to make aluminum for the body, and copper for the wiring.. What is a PCB made out of and where that comes out of the ground. I still probably will
Holding BTC for years should be a pretty safe bet if you ask me. As soon as this recession and war are behind us we’ll back at this as a great time to buy
A few months back i was up a few feet in the air grabbing a miner off the top rack and half dropped it....but caught it as i was 'sliding down the ladder'. Somehow i made it down while barely grabbing the miner one handed down near my hip. And somehow i didnt get hurt. Corner of 30lb metal miner didnt get my hip, if it was a little loeer and slightly shifted couldve been a very bad day if if smashed my testes...it was clumsy as shit and i laughed when i watched the video. Caught myself and the miner while sliding/falling down the ladder. Didnt get hurt, me or miner. It was a tuesday I thought about possibly putting that clip up online, claiming to be the first dumbass falling down ladder but also first man to save an s19 miner from doom...but condensed and catchier. But didnt. Kindof regret it now dammit
....there is a problem here... how could you possibly talk to invest on art when you have the most powerful and profitable asset in the history of humanity ???
08:35 How can the difference between a trillion and a quadrillion, be a quadrillion? That's like saying the difference between 10 and 100, is a 100. What are you talking about?
youre illustrating the point perfectly with this question. So in your example, 10 to 100 - there are only 10 10's in 100. There are 1000 trillions in a quadrillion. So the more accurate comparison would be the difference between 1 and 1000 is about 1000. Because 999 and 1000 are BASICALLY the same when compared to 1. Does that make sense? 1 quadrillion is one thousand trillion.
Hahaha, I thought about it but then in my research I found the phrase “thermal adhesive” as opposed to “thermal paste” meaning I’m pretty sure that’s like a glue, which I don’t have in the shop, and have never attempted to use/clean up/ remove/ apply, before.. But you’re right!!
Ok that was probably the most entertaining and informative video I've seen in a long time. Bravo brother.

Theres a link to it in the description, its a 3D printed part.
Congratulations on being the first. Btw, are you still host mining in Texas? I heard of several Mining bankruptcies.

Hey would you be interested in partnering in creating in asic miner for KAS and ALHP?
Well, unfortunately I am not a software engineer or a computer programmer so I’m not entirely sure I would be much help..
Just 14 ct/kWh?! Like a dream! Greetings from Germany. 😁

If you replace the stock fans with a custom cooler and ditch PSU fans, how does the PSU does not get overheated?
The new version of the custom cooler 3D printer shroud covers the PSU also, and sends air through its case.
