Nope. I couldn't survive on a desert island, unless there was ZERO Threatening wildlife, plenty of Fruit and Vegetables growing wild, no dangerous plants, and clean, potable water, and a constant 70'F 24/7, 365 days a year, With no inclement weather... so basically, unless it's a total paradise... I have NO survival skills.
Already have it and playing WT while watching lol
You're probably a P51 guy, aren't ya?
WT is far too much fun but the snail is greedy
referring to a boat as drivable, you say "seaworthy" --------*
Deserted island*
Alan officially has a more interesting story than the Dragonborn and I love it
He has had quite the life haha!
Guy has more jobs that jonny sins
I'm so glad I've been introduced to this mod via this video in particular! I appreciate that Alorn just wanted to get home safely and soon, not explore every crevice and solve every mystery on this island. By following his journey, we got an overall perspective of what this mod has to offer (which seems to be a ton!) without spoiling everything, so I personally feel eager to go play the mod for myself. Yes, there's absolutely a time and place for deep-dive mod play-throughs, but not every video featuring a mod has to do that to be a "good" video, and I think this is a GREAT video! I enjoyed how much character you gave Alorn. I look forward to seeing what he gets up to next!
Glad you enjoyed! I’ve always liked turning the mod into my own story, even if I miss things. Always fun making your own way in things
Pineapple 🍍
now we need a story about Alorn's wife who got lost and trying to head back home to see if Alorn replaced her and then the two meet right in front of their home at the end
Yay! Alorn is back! I think this one is my favourite chapter of Alorn's story. He did work hard to build his growing business empire and become a jarl, but he was always more of a builder not a fighter. Seeing Alorn take on a new challenge of fighting and surviving, using those skills instead of his keen business mind and craftsman skills, that added a new layer of depth. There isn't anything Alorn can't do if he puts his mind to it. I'm a little sad this is his final chapter, but it was one hell of a great story.
Not ruling Alorn out for a return down the line haha, he’s a great character. I did want to bring him back for this to prove these points, not always a fighter but he can if needed
Damn there was a shovel sticking outta the cart in the dragon cavern as you were fleeing like a little girl hahahaha
Haha I definitely didn’t see that, saw the dragon and got out as fast as I could 😂
I AM SO GETTING THIS MOD!!! My char is a Native Huntress. She uses the Nord template with the Brenon 25% magic resistance. She has the skin color, hair color and physical/skeletal features of a Native American. Her skin is so dark, she is often mistaken for a Red Guard from behind, but when she turns around people don't really know what her lineage is. Her people, called "Natives", are a very rare and dieing race that have always inhabited Skyrim and predate the Nords considerably. Being fantastic Medicine People hunters they utilize a balanced blend of melee, ranged, and magic and vastly exel in natural medicines (alchemy) and healing magic. This island seems to be a perfect test Gentle Creek!
It’s a very fun mod! Survival mode and this combined was a nice challenge as well, especially for a new character
Appreciate the tales of alorn alornsonn
Had to bring him back for another adventure!
Alan is gonna be fine is my prediction at the start, and he is gonna turn this island into resort to add to his growing business empire
Hopefully, there’s plenty of danger to avoid
Ahh...the goof ol Island. This mod was what convinced me to final try survival mode. Glad to see it getting more coverage. Keep up the good work brother! As others have mentioned, I love following this guy's journey.
This mod sounds awesome from the Nexus page. From this short playthrough it looks fun as well. I think any character I played would go back to figure out the mysteries, if you can go back.
It’s really good, a couple of quests to get stuck into if you’re interested
@@ValePlaysGames I just need Skyrim now. Lol.
Excellent stuff though, love this type of story with a goal that's a mod but no it's a playthrough but its just a questline turned into a movie. It's pretty great.
Thank you! Always like to craft a bit of a story to make these mods a bit more interesting
I have been using this mod since it first came out, I even had a smal part in its creation. When Arron first started we struck up a freindshap (of the online kind). My name on the Nexus is Kregen you can find my name in the early posts up untill arron had to leave and stop modding due to RL preasurs. It was sad that he had to retire he had so many more ideas but it was unfortunatly not to be. the mod is now unfortunately dead but still very enjoying. I remember sitting on top of a rock trying to fend of keevers with a week fire spel and next to no magica and a stone knife. I recomend this mod to any Scouts, Hunters or stealth archers. I had many enjoyable hours in this emersive mod with my Elven decendant of a remote Snow elf/Bosimer hybred tribe, named Uncus.
Any scouts, hunters or stealth archers.
So 95% of the players...
It’s a great mod! Really enjoyed playing through it and finding some of the secrets
I played this mod aswell, I love it! There should be more deserted places like this for survival!
It was a great mod! Heard there’s another area called chanterelle which is similar
Heres a Video idea for ya...
Alorn Alornson(i hope thats spelled right, its how it appeared on screen) Has done it all, but what of his Sibling?(perhaps a sister named Elayne?)
I'm Not sure if theres a mod for this, but... You Take over a bandit camp, Rebuild the defenses, and start a Mercenary group... (similar to your Town building from a past video, but on a smaller scale.) With the goal of becoming the best Merc Group around, Taking on contracts to kill monsters or defend caravans... or simply hunt down criminals and bandits.
It would be quite entertaining, i think. Especially if you take the Sibling angle i mention above... Alorn can defend himself somewhat, but hes no fighter... his younger sister, however, Can throw down with the best of them, to which her Arrest Record can attest.
You could even start out with A release from prison in, say, Whiterun... i mean, theres a nice, nearby group of bandit camps near whiterun. One in each direction, Almost. (North of whiterun, West of Whiterun, TWO East if whiterun, And two South of Whiterun, near Riverwood.)
Just thought you might be interested in the idea.
I have looked for bandit style mods and it seems they don’t exist sadly, could be a very fun playthrough!
@@ValePlaysGames Wow... Skyrim modders are lagging behind the Ark modders AGAIN? First no play as a Dragon mod(as far as I know there still isnt) and no Bandit-style mods either? (SERIOUSLY, the Ark:Survival modders had the play As a dino mod out a few months after release... but last I checked, back I'm 2016 there was STILL no Dragon Mod for skyrim. I mean, how hard would it be to modify the Werewolf or Vampire lord Features? They've made mods to those features to turn you into Frickin super saiyan goku, with completely new animations and models, but they can't do it with Dragon, which already has Working Models in the game???)
Maybe some Modders out there will see this... And make a Bandit or Mercenary Mod...(or play as a Dragon mod... that would be awesome.)
I wish I knew how to Code... or knew someone else who did...
@@matthewrowlett1564 13 years and still no bandit mod? Disappointing.
On the other hand, they had a fishing mod back in 2012
I've played through this mod a few times. Always took my time doing so in order to get my survival skills and gear up for when I made it to Skyrim proper and because I wanted to find all the secrets.
It was a very fun mod, imagine the quests are quite fun as well
@@ValePlaysGames It's perfect for if you're like me who goes poking into every corner looking for stuff, though on my first go through I took so long to get established some of the crew bodies despawned. Was a bit annoyed to discover that.
Please go back and explore the island more
There does seem to be a few mysteries to solve, some interesting quests to be sure
Well this looks like a pretty fun mod actually Skyrim combined with a survival mode makes everything a little more precious and it looks like there's some unique story on the island for sure.
It was a lot of fun, and a nice starting challenge for a new character
I may not have all the mods you have but this makes me want to play survival
Survival is always a lot of fun, always find it makes me play in unique ways to stay alive
Hunterborn (the mod for the hunting part) was always one of my favorites
Hunter born is a very fun mod, first time using it but was really interesting way of playing
@@ValePlaysGames if you level the crafting side of it, you can make bone bows and arrows that rival some of the better tier stuff from the base game.
The return of a Legend; keep up the good work
Thanks, appreciate it!
Amazing job keep them coming please your getting better and better with each video
Appreciate it! Always trying to up the quality :)
@@ValePlaysGames your welcome and will you make a Skyrim survival mode let’s play? I would watch it
Probably not a let’s play, not really what I like making. But survival mode will definitely feature in some of the upcoming videos
i thought this was the formally blue guy but suddenly he was british!! im glad to find simular youtubers 😊
He’s a great UA-camr! But glad you found this channel and hope you stick around, some fun videos on the way :)
Please say you stream these because this is something I would defo watch just to relax and enjoy
I don’t stream at the moment just because of my current schedule, but exploring if it’s possible! Would love to share the adventures live
you mean a deserted island? skyrims too icy for a desert 😂
Reminds me of chanterelle a savage world, I love that mod. Will try this one next!
I’m looking into that one, if I can find a good story I’d make a video
Alan's gonna have an interesting time thinking that he's left the island but end up in the wild lands of Chanterelle!
(Please try Chanterelle)
I’ve seen this mod, and definitely considered the land in chanterelle option! Looks great
@@ValePlaysGames Be warned though--the land is MASSIVE and doesn't have much guidance and direction towards a goal the same way as The Island does
It's a fantastic sandbox for a pure survivalman type character, so just a heads up if you would like to dabble with it
Alan has just about done it all huh
He has had quite the life haha
Weird comment maybe, but love watching this as a scouser myself! Great content 👍🏼
Always appreciate a fellow scouser! Glad you enjoyed
Kinda irritated by the fact you didnt use a sword against the troll or pirates
Hmm. This video didn't pop up in my feed. I was wondering where the next video was. Cheers mate!
Glad it eventually popped up haha! Also one out today if you don’t get notified
@@ValePlaysGames Good looks! Appreciate the notice!
Starting Skyrim in darkend or inferno blood marked and inferno would be insane
I’ll check those mods out, always looking for interesting things to test out
@@ValePlaysGames those mods are wicked hard. In the inferno series you get spells that help defeat the bosses later on. (Both mods are made for endgame and the inferno series is really hard and meant for endgame, but someone’s gotta do it lol)
Would love more videos like this!!
Got some more similar ideas / challenges on the way
left after your in video advert
That’s fine, not for everyone I guess. Always the option to skip past
The second time you've been shipwrecked dude
First time I’ve done this type of video, must have been someone else’s you’ve seen
Definitely want to try this mod
Well worth a download, makes for an interesting start to life over the normal start
@@ValePlaysGames I will definitely have to look into this mod for Skyrim, but I may have to get Skyrim on a different device because I have Nintendo switch and I have a feeling this will not be able to be done but I definitely want to try this cause I want to see how long I can survive on this island without leaving it and possibly being able to make my own civilization
Alan can’t catch break
He has lead an interesting life haha
will you do a series on the island
I don’t really do multiple videos on a single mod unless there’s huge amounts of content. It was a great mod though
You don’t drive a boat you con it
Great mod
Y'know, always curious about what mods you use in these vids, Vale.
Usually put the mods in the description. This one was The Island and the recommended mods on that page
@@ValePlaysGames Cool. Any idea on how to make it work? Tried it myself, and found that The Island's sole requirement isn't compatible with SE/AE.
How the heck did you manage to make the docile centurion to fight the mammoths?😃
Also the dragon was not quite at the right location, he should be a little deeper and off to the side, resting upon his hoard of bones.
The mod has a nice little story, somewhat lore-friendly too - you should check it out sometimes
I just saw the centurion fighting haha, may have found a little glitch there! I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of the mod
He’s using more mods than just The Island. Does anyone know where to find a full list?
I used the recommended mods with the island, all found on there mod page. Mainly hunterborn and a couple of graphic enhancements
@@ValePlaysGames thank you
Wait a minute. This is a reupload
Brand new video, not done this on my channel before
i am really wanting to know what mods you use in these videos
The link in the description is the main mod, plus I added hunterborn
I do hope this isn't rude to ask, but just out of interest, by chance is the mod accessible through console? (Xbox one) Or is the mod only downloadable through PC? I'm lucky enough to have skyrim on both, but since I share the PC with my mom, I figure it would be more convenient to find immersive mods like this on Xbox so it gives my mother some more time on the PC when she needs to find important files for work, studying, etc ❤️
I’m not sure if it’s on Xbox, it’s called The Island if you want to search for it
What is this mod and is it only on pc
Your videos are really well made.
If you wanted, you could afford to slow down your pace a little bit. I don't know if that's anything you'd really want to do or not, but your current pace leaves opportunity to slow down. I noticed that when watching your content, I can't take my focus away from the video for but a second, lest I risk missing something that has a decent chance of being a) important, b) interesting, c) entertaining, or d) some combination of a), b), and/or c). So you could space out your "punch lines" so to speak, or even give yourself just more comfortable opportunities for breaths.
Didn't know if that sort of not-quite-rapid-fire-but-close-to-constant level of import of each statement you make and scene you present or describe was the 'style' you were intentionally going for, was it?
I think they could come across as fast paced because I’m not a fan of filler scenes, normally if it’s in the video it’s important. I am starting to experiment with some more cinematic / world building scenes which would probably slow things down a little
I could of missed it but what mod is this?
This is the island, link in the description
Let's goOoOO
Hope you enjoy!
i would love to see more of this i loved seeing formaly blue play this. is this where you got the idea i hope not because you did not even give any credit if so
Had the island on my list for awhile, spotted it a couple of years ago. But have seen formerlyblue’s video, which was fantastic! Didn’t give me the idea as such, but would highly recommend anyone to watch his channel as he’s a great creator
@@ValePlaysGames it is a very good mod and im glad that you explored it more than he did plan on watching some more of your work
Glad you enjoyed it! There seemed to be a lot more to explore as well, the quest line seemed like a huge mystery
@@ValePlaysGames would love to see it
You’re next up
Thanks for watching!
Is it mobile game bro or not
It is not a mobile game
Nice story, shame skyrim is a game that the devs completely broke and the rollback mod does nothing so it is unplayable now...
My version of anniversary is working well, may need a fresh install on your version
@@ValePlaysGames lucky :)
I wi try it when I get home
The problem is the rollback mod isn't updated to handle the most recent version of AE right now. Go to the posts section of the rollback mod and people have made various write ups on how to use the steam console to force download the older files and then you can use rollback as intended.
@@Falcodrin I have seen it, I will try at some point
Console controller movement ruins every bit of immersion.
Trying to find a mod for smoother cinematics, I agree it can be annoying sometimes
@@ValePlaysGames I guess people who uses the controller, does not even notice, but I have played mouse only from 1987..
a bit picky are we eh lol
Picking vid in YT is the correct method to use this platform.
What comes to users average thinktanking before picking certain vids, it is not based on very deep philosophical ponderings.
My rant about the jerky movement is a truthful experience and honestly mention about it is just to give feedback. Love the game, Iplay it every week for the past tennish years now.
I was reading the comments then I looked back up to the video and there was a plane. I was like wtf there's planes with this mod for a sec
Sorry for the confusion haha, wonder if there’s a mod for planes though
