If you're working for minimum wage then you're not good at anything or you're a student supporting your grant. You're not an elite athlete for a start. To get to be a footballer, you need to be at it from the age of 8 and all the pressure that goes with it. My lad is in the system at 16, trust me he's worked his nuts off even to get a scholar. And by the way only the very best get close to the very top level.
This is the same issue Wenger, Alex Ferguson, Jose all stated back in the 90s and early 00s. Nothing has changed, the same amount of games are still played. If anything, you have bigger squads now, compared to back then. Also the pitches are a lot better now, sports science is better, diets, injury recovery. They didn't have that back in the 90s, when players like Owen, Keane and Shearer had really bad injuries. Look at the brazilian Ronaldo, he had a very bad injury, he still played on the dodgy pitches and when players would lunge in and tackle hard. What dd he think it was like in the 80s, 70s, 60s etc, These players today have it way more easier, I have no idea wht Van Dijk is talking about Family. He was out injured for nearly 10 Months, I reckon he spent loads of time at home. What does he think the normal every day person does when they work, they spend all day away from their family also. They are busting a gut just to live and provide a roof over their heads. Van Dijk will be retired in his late 30s, never having to work again. He can spend loads of time with his family, I think he is taking the p**s to be fair.
Use the squad then. It's a squad game. Complain to your manager if you're playing too much. If they want to play 20% less games then take a 20% pay cut. That's how it works in all industries.
or ask to play less and give some wages back t pay a back up player... get sick of footballer sin this country , NBA Players play every other night with way more impact on the body. granted there mins are nearly half a footy game but they are engaged in double the action per match played .
except he was happy to exploit those same people paying them shite wages that he now white knights for on his way to becoming insanely rich. It's a nice argument but not from him.
So Martin wants the exact same number of games, but a longer period of rest between games? That would mean a month less of rest time at the end of the season. That's the only way to make it work, extend the duration of a season.
Ofc ur a United fan 🤣 can’t get ur head around simple stuff. How does changing games from a Saturday morning to Saturday evening/Sunday if u play in Europe on Thursday take away an extra month of the year? 🤣🤣 genuinely must be the dumbest fanbase on the planet
no, he's talking mostly about fixture arrangement. especially with Europa League + Conference League being on a thursday night. EPL teams should never play 2 games on one full day rest
@@EddoYTThere's too many games, common sense should prevail. Why do we have things like the nations league? Players should not be playing in June and July between WCs and Euros. They should just say no.
Simon is right. I work nearly 60 hours a week just to have a comfortable life. Look at the state of these football players crying, making 1m a month. It's absolutely shocking.

So enough with the “oh they make so much money and they don’t work as hard as me so they don’t have anything to complain about.” That’s just more of that hate for millionaires and billionaires cuz “life isn’t fare.” When was the last time anyone was elbowing u in the face every week as a standard part of ur job?
2 weeks off a pro footballer gets, he has to return to the club after, do a bunch of tests, then start training for the new season, while also playing in a bunch of friendlies before the season starts.
When I was doing my apprenticeship I was working monday to friday 7 - 4, on fridays I'd finish work and go straight to my second job bouncing till 6 in the morning, saturdays 6pm to 6 am. I did that for 3 years straight. And i was doing boxing during the week. That was exhausting but I never complained about it. When I hear professional athletes who "work" 6-9 months out of a year complain about being tired makes me sick, to quote Roy Keane "its your job" .
So because your job is shitty, so should everyone else's be shitty too? So you don't believe in fighting to get better conditions for yourself, but fighting to make everyone else conditions as shitty as yours? Does that make sense to you?
Absolutely moronic comparison to make. It's a strange trait of the British to hear that someone might have it bad and their response is to immediately make it about themselves with a "you think you have it bad, I bluddy av ter geddup at six!". Nobody cares about your apprenticeship, it has absolutely no relevance to muscle fatigue in footballers. You're assuming this is psychological issue for footballers, like they just can't be bothered playing 2-3 games a week all season. It isn't - it's a physical issue. It doesn't matter how much they are getting paid, there comes a point where your body burns out.
Seems to me that the obvious solution would be to scrap international friendlies and tournaments like the Nations League and just play the tournaments Euros(or the equivalents for other continents), the World Cup. Every international break takes away 2 mid-week fixture dates and 1 weekend fixture date and we usually have 4-5 of the them in a season so I think that is where one can find the extra time that the players are supposedly asking for. You could reserve 4 weeks for a holiday, 4 for a pre-season, 6 weeks for a tournament (or to play qualifiers for the tournament) and leave the rest for the club season. You'd have 38 weeks left so assuming 1 weekend fixture and 1 mid-week fixture, you have 76 possible dates to accommodate 66 fixtures so you have the room in the calendar to fit in a mid-season break. Also, because there are no international breaks during the club season, you can play twice in 8 days instead of thrice in 9 days and get more of a break, while also playing fewer matches overall because there are no international friendlies. I'm not an expert on the financial and logistical details of fixture scheduling but looks like the only way to have fewer matches is to cut down on the international fixtures because the finances of club football make it impossible to cut down fixtures.
I work 8 hours in a warhorse heavy manual labour 6 a.m till 2 p.m walk 45 mins each way then go the gym 5 times a week for 1.5 hours for £10 an hour. Don't tell me about tiredness. Makes me sick

Simon said one thing perfectly. You can highlight a problem all you want but unless you provide a solution to that problem your going nowhere. The solutions I think of are the following: 1. Get rid of International friendlies i.e Home Nations, friendly matches. Anything that's not either qualifucation to a big tournament or the tournament itself. This will reduce the games top players play and also allow the domestic leagues to spread their games out more. Downside is the money side of the game where whoever benefits from these friendlies will be affected. 2. A forced limit how many games a player can play domestically i.e each player is only allowed to play 30 games each season for a club. This will provide the neccessary breaks but the players, managers, clubs and sponsors will hate this. The benefit would be that it would force managers to use the full squad and maybe younger players will get chances to showcase themselves. These are the only solutions I can think of. Neither is ideal but if it is a big enough issue then the solution must be equally big enough to solve it.
For me I like the nations league cause it's made the internationals more competitive, but I think the league cup should only be contested by teams not playing in Europe that season
Sacrifice? Virgil could pay my mortgage off with 9 days of his wage. I work 12 hour shifts to pay for it and it’ll take me 28 more years. He can do one.
yeah as if Virgil didn't have to work his backside off to get where he is today. If it's so easy why didn't I become a footballer, why didn't you become one?
You can’t have it both ways. Footballers can actually play a game every day. It’s just that the quality would be really lacking and there would be far more injuries. This argument is basically everyday people saying I do my job 5 days a week. So should you for that money Sadly the human body can’t sustain the physicality of elite football everyday no matter how much money you give a player
Exactly. We want to see the best players at their highest level of performance playing against each other. And extra 100k a week doesn't speed up recovery
Perfectly spot on, I think everyone has become way to FASCINATED by how much footballers earn rather than basic well-being. No matter how much money can be pumped into physical development can make them play every 3-4 days at a prominent level over a 4-5-year period without any muscular/non-contact injury. How can we be entertained when they are not playing.
@@davidpeters3857 I’m sure VVD had played every single game before that injury though. Be interesting to see if the same thing happens to Bruno though, then we’ll know it has to be burnout that causes this
I think he’s talking about throughout a season not tournaments that come every couple seasons. You can easily believe both of this things at the same time once you maintain there is a fair amount of time between the games and the scheduling is done better The only thing that’s dunce like is you not thinking more than 2 seconds before posting this
the bottom line is what Simon is saying, the scheduling and fixture lists of football is tightly intertwined with the economic side of it, which has become so enormous that it needed this frequency of games in a year. If footballers wanna rest more, then they would need to be ready to accept lesser pay, that is the gist of it.
Keown talking nonsense! No idea what the average man has to put up with. I’ve worked in construction 30 years labouring, nearly died twice, seen people die, injured multiple times and I get £400 per week. Footballers have no clue what real life’s like, knock me sick!
Well different lives, different problems. A big issue to you may be pretty small to them and vice versa. Anyways, since it's a load of bullocks, why didn't you become a pro footballer..
I think the biggest hardship for elite footballers is to endure all the criticism and social bullying. Look at what happens to Nymar, Ronaldo, etc ( not fan of either btw)
Not to mention managers getting it even worse. Graham Potter getting death threats, Simon Jordan says "it just comes with the territory". Imagine a CEO (on similar money to footballers) and receiving death threats for how they conduct their daily working duties

Simply put if anyone csn do it everyone should be doing it. I’ve tested athletes their numbers are insane. Everyone thinks they can be a footballer. Don’t kid yourself, the pace, stamina and strength required for the sport is ridiculous and would see most people pick up an injury within a month that ruled them out for the rest of the season. Their durability is insane. For example most people think they can play in the nba till they have to play for 15 minutes then realise these guys are pure athletes, even something like f1, the corners the turn and the amount of g force produced would snap the average persons neck. They’re paid insane because they’ve been dedicated and honed their craft to insane figures.
Is there an audience for people like nurses and cops then? Do millions of people want to watch them do their job and spend their money on watching them? No there isn’t, so how do you suppose nurses get paid footballer level wages when there isn’t a market to sell it on?
Can’t argue that nurses and cops deserve millions, of course not…I’m just saying that they sacrifice far more than elite footballers. Chronic shift work literally kills you, and people doing shift work forever are often in the low rungs of society. Have you ever seen a footballers schedule? They train in the morning then go home at lunchtime. They do not put in sacrifices and I’ll never ever feel sorry for them on the basis of their job being hard.
The few footballers who in theory average a game a week over the course of 12 months don't actually play that many matches as they are rested as and when necessary throughout the season. Even guys like De Bruyne and Haaland have been rotated a bunch of times this season. The reality is there are 38 league games and then maybe a handful of important cup games at the tail end of the season, after which they get a complete break for a month or so. I don't think the demands on modern players are quite as punishing as Martin suggests.
We’re talking about the players playing 50+ game season plus international fixtures. The amount of games cramped into a short space of time is very taxing on the body regardless of the amount of money they make. I play at the bottom of semi pro footy. We had to play 2 games a week for the past month. Just one month. We have had 9-10 injuries. By the end of that month i had a new found respect for pro players that do it at the highest level week after week.

@@danielward7008 well tennis is a completely different ball game (literally). But tennis players have no physical contact so I wouldn’t really compare the two but i get where you’re coming from.
Squads are massive now a days. Don't see the problem. If you are fit and able then play. Most of us dreamed of being a professional footballer when we were young, but only the lucky, talented, hard working ones make it.
Sacrifice is a bad word as it suggests you give your life (or some of it) for nothing in return, players sacrifice nothing, They INVEST , their time, their effort , they sweat, their bodies and they get a return on that investment. A MASSIVE return
Martin Keown can not win this argument. Going in for "training' when it involves getting massaged for an hour then practicing some passing etc is not hard. Pre season is when the fitness training occurs and that would be horrid. But the rest of the season is tactics and the fitness is kept playing games.
You know this from your medical degree do you? Why do footballers ever stop playing then if playing keeps you fit? There’s obviously a balance and too much of anything can be harmful and considering it’s backed up by the increased injuries in congested fixture runs it’s undeniable
Pms are you siding with simon hahaha ya kno he is good at debating and english, big words etc. But Martin is a professional sportsman and has walked the walk he knows!...simons always got a gobfull of spit and something to say.

Didn`t hear Simone talking about "money" when Chelsea spent a fortune this winter. He was saying "Don`t mind someone else pocket". Also, he was saying, it is not footballers fault some else is happy to pay that amount. And here, he is suddenly talking about footballers money and compare it to other people in this country. Basically, he uses it to fit his narrative. You either happy with amount money in the football or not. They are simply doing their job as anybody else in this world. Cause same can be applied to other high-earners, including singers, actors and celebrities.
I haven't been a listener for that long but my gauge is that Simon is a ultra capitalist above all else....maximising profit and minimising cost,I think whats hard for him to swallow with today's football economics is players are earning as much as VC of hedge funds and CEOs when for most of those teams there isn't an added value to having those players on enormous wages...with how the epl works,as long as you're average you are guaranteed over 110mil per season...I thinks he needs to change his mindset on where he sees the players in the football food chain...Good to great players are their own economies in a way...not saying they are bigger than the clubs and their supporters but if you are that player who's great and is global there is no way you are going to cap their earning potential or hold down their salaries just cos you think it's alot....for example over the last decade it didn't matter who was playing alongside Messi people both away and home matches went to see him play, they were selling out stadiums which led to a famous production company to curate a show centered around messi(they did that for global musical acts),people were going to watch shows based on the greatness of a football player so you can't tell me with that much attention that equates to dollar amounts that certain players aren't worthy of the money they are getting despite is being enormous to the common man...most of the great players aren't workers they do partnerships with their teams....for instance when PSG got neymar for 200m,do you think they were only interested in his footballing exploits or did they see him as an opportunity and their way into the Latin Market cos of who he is outside of playing football

It’s one of those things where everyone is right. There’s too many games and it effects player health leading to more injury, and also there’s no way to fix it because the bills need to be paid and the players aren’t going to take pay cuts over it. It is the definition of “it is what it is.”

Jim said Arteta was complaining about that but they haven’t played a Europa league match since BEFORE the World Cup. So I believe he was referring to the game they played Wednesday AT HOME vs Everton. Not like he needed his full strength team to deal with that.😂😂😂
The solution is play to get paid in their contracts. Add clauses for injuries, sickness, family emergencies, compassionate leave etc. But if someone is in the line up, on the bench, or at least prepared for 50 games, pay that player. If a player is burnt out, needs rest, wants load management or anything like that then a percentage comes out their wage. Imo it's a decent compromise.
That doesn't work because for ons reason or another a player might get benched or left out of the match day squad or sent to practice with the under21 team, the player will they claim their is some kind of collusion btwn upper management and the coach to void his guarantees cos he didn't meet those markers that mightve nothing to do with his play...sounds like lawsuits waiting to happen The way it works best is through insentivising via the bonuses in the contract not pay cuts...ie if you play 90% of the game there is an extra amount you get...if we win the champions league you get an extra amount but you must've played all through the knockout stages
I hear what your saying, but that's why I said if a player is at least prepared to play that should be fine. Clauses in contracts can address a lot of what you said aswell. I'll give you an example, I'm a West Ham fan (god help me) we paid 50 million for Andy Carrol who averaged 18 games for us over 6 seasons and got paid 90k a week. 🤨. Paying 90k a week for a player who in the end needed ankle surgery and was out 80% of the 18/19 season never sat well with me. Pay in conciliation to availability in these cases should be put into contracts - Carroll should've had a percentage deducted from his wage simply because he wasn't there to do his job, say 40%. He'd still be earning 36k a week to sit on the couch! In total contrast to my job, if I'm injured or I'm sick, I have an allocated amount of sick pay but once that's over I'm not getting paid anything 😂. Some of these players are being paid a fortune, I think it's fair to be at least available to play in order to be entitled for full pay.
It not the season it's the managers. Use your full squad, give the youngsters more chances. If I hear one more player complaining about it, or someone defending them for complaining about it I'm gonna throw a hissy fit. Shall we put a limit on the amount of games a player can play each season, I'm sure that'll shut them up.
Only thing I will say in Keowns defence is that everyone keeps harping on about what they’re paid, but no amount of money can buy away fatigue, muscle ache, joint ache. Which then hinders top players from performing, criticism then gets given by the fans saying you’re paid to be perform at this level, so players therefore want to prove themselves so play as much as possible etc. Vicious cycle, their bank accounts don’t make the physical demand any easier, they’re bodies are human just like everyone else’s. However I agree that it’s the players choice to play the 50-60 games a season, could easily ask for a rest every now n then, wouldn’t affect the fans or clubs opinion of them
Nonsense if they don't like the aches and pains retire then if no amount of money can help that 🤣 they get paid while injured as well no other real life job pays you to have a year of like van dijk had

Coaches can rotate players more. Players can retire from the international game. You Could play for a club that isn’t playing in Europe and only plays once a week for more “rest”
The thing that's caught up with Dick Van Dyke is his age... he's 93😁Same with Kompany and Rio, couldn't continue to coast through games, with their pace getting them out of trouble in their 30's!!!
Simon is wrong here. The players train with the ball for 2 hours, but they also do gym work and recovery work so in total in takes 6 hours per day at least. However, it's not a sacrifice. Simon tried to bait Keown into a fight, but Keown showed his class here
They should just add a cap on the number of games a player is allowed to play per season and force teams to use the squad + youth players No player can play more than 50 competitive games in total in a season (inclusive of all cups) All registered players must start at least 15 competitive club fixtures in a season unless they cannot due to injury If they don't have the first team players available then bring in youth players. No players can be called up for international duty if they have missed any club fixtures due to injury in the last 30 days. No player can play more than 3 international fixtures in a row No more long haul flights for pre season, mid season or end of season friendlies, as travel will no doubt take its toll eventually too. The issue is that clubs and players really don't actually care about playing too many games, they want as much revenue as possible and use burnout as an excuse when things don't go their way.
Are we forgetting that in between the training sessions and games, players also have classroom and tactical sessions, travelling, media, charity etc. Its all full time work. I don’t care how much you’re paid, you have the same number of available hours in the week that you’re limited by. I don’t care how fit you are, there are physical limits.

What talent did you need for your job?
@@goattm2 ah so having a level of ability takes more out of you than working for a living? Got it 🤣
@@goattm2 so dismissive of your fellow man. Disappointing
Players should just say No to international duty if they have been injured! They just won’t, that’s the issue!
no way they scrap international friendlies and nations league my man.. UEFA and international football conferences need da money too.

I knew what Simon would say even before he started
Yeah. It was in the title of the video
Simon said one thing perfectly. You can highlight a problem all you want but unless you provide a solution to that problem your going nowhere.
The solutions I think of are the following:
Yeah it's out of touch
yeah as if Virgil didn't have to work his backside off to get where he is today. If it's so easy why didn't I become a footballer, why didn't you become one?
So why don't you sacrifice to become a pro footballer if its so easy?
You can’t have it both ways. Footballers can actually play a game every day. It’s just that the quality would be really lacking and there would be far more injuries. This argument is basically everyday people saying I do my job 5 days a week. So should you for that money
Sadly the human body can’t sustain the physicality of elite football everyday no matter how much money you give a player
Look at Rooney, Perfect example Pedri is facing muscular injuries after playing over 60 games straight
And it's a short career as well. You don't see Zidane still out on the pitch at 50 years of age

the bottom line is what Simon is saying, the scheduling and fixture lists of football is tightly intertwined with the economic side of it, which has become so enormous that it needed this frequency of games in a year.

Nurses and nursing assistants and cops put in sacrifices, million pound earning footballers do not.

He never said that did he? Nurses sacrifice not these overpaid pansies
Can’t argue that nurses and cops deserve millions, of course not…I’m just saying that they sacrifice far more than elite footballers. @@JAEGATS ye I no that? What's your point

It's that tough we regularly see footballers quit football to go and work like normal people. Oh wait there no we don't.

That doesn't work because for ons reason or another a player might get benched or left out of the match day squad or sent to practice with the under21 team, the player will they claim their is some kind of collusion btwn upper management and the coach to void his guarantees cos he didn't meet those markers that mightve nothing to do with his play...sounds like lawsuits waiting to happen
The way it works best is through insentivising via the bonuses in the contract not pay cuts...ie if you play 90% of the game there is an extra amount you get...if we win the champions league you get an extra amount but you must've played all through the knockout stages
Can't take him seriously with all the scribbling
However I agree that it’s the players choice to play the 50-60 games a season, could easily ask for a rest every now n then, wouldn’t affect the fans or clubs opinion of them
Only sensible comment I have seen. Everyone else seems to be licking Simon's behind.

The thing that's caught up with Dick Van Dyke is his age... he's 93😁Same with Kompany and Rio, couldn't continue to coast through games, with their pace getting them out of trouble in their 30's!!!
For me, dick van dyke is no longer the player he was.
Who cares?! Footballers are SKILLED workers as well as entertainers. Why the whining and false comparisons?
Simon is wrong here. The players train with the ball for 2 hours, but they also do gym work and recovery work so in total in takes 6 hours per day at least. However, it's not a sacrifice.
Simon tried to bait Keown into a fight, but Keown showed his class here
Wow what sacrifice, the poor lambs
@@craigderby4416 huh?
They should just add a cap on the number of games a player is allowed to play per season and force teams to use the squad + youth players
No player can play more than 50 competitive games in total in a season (inclusive of all cups)
All registered players must start at least 15 competitive club fixtures in a season unless they cannot due to injury
If they don't have the first team players available then bring in youth players.
No players can be called up for international duty if they have missed any club fixtures due to injury in the last 30 days.
No player can play more than 3 international fixtures in a row
No more long haul flights for pre season, mid season or end of season friendlies, as travel will no doubt take its toll eventually too.
I don’t care how looked after you are, worldwide attention and expectations weigh on your mental well-being.
If it’s that much of a hardship, let’s see how many players rip up their contract, and get an office job on £20,000 a year working 9 to 5 yeah?
3 hrs a day? Full time work? R u for real?
@@JamesSmith-ds2hind mps have full time job say yes like kids right but get pay rise every month bus and trains sit down all day but get pay rise every few months too if we going cut money cut it at mps landlord's renting prices so we can live
A comeback from an injury like that is difficult. But if you're talking about burnout Fernandez is top of that list. [Knock on wood.]
I m just waiting for his decline in March!
He didn't have bad knee injury when someone thought it would be funny to do to him
Can’t believe Martin constantly lets Simon insult him to his face and does nothing!
What do you expect him to do? He doesn’t have the wit or intelligence to beat Simon in a slagging match.
@@jimsim8736 true, but he could knock him out!
@Hayder Al-Mohammad what!!?
Comparing normal people to footballers is stupid lol these guys were training and eating right since they were under 10 just to make it ! , Also the chances of making it are very slim. Footballers do sacrifice alot of their lives to make it, they deserve every penny they get.
VVD- IS SO VERY SPECIAL- 38 PL matches, ALL 3 CUP GAMES- ALL International games and All World Cup games- It's just a matter of time before it catches up on the body! (YNWA)
Agree with Martin , players need a say , everyone else does, just cos they get paid alot doesn't mean anything. They can evaluate the games played and participation against monetary reward if they can be at the table.
Yeah I agree, "sacrifice" shouldn't be a word in a professional footballers mouth. They don't know the meaning of the word. Commitment to their profession, sure, but not "sacrifice".
Wikipedia - on Simon Jordan @ Crystal palace - No potential buyers came forward to make a bid for Palace, and the club became embroiled in deep financial trouble. Rumours persisted of personal financial difficulties as Jordan faced cash flow problems relating to wage payments at the club in November and December 2009.[5] On 26 January 2010 Crystal Palace went into administration and Jordan's ownership came to an end.
Yeah let everyone rest when they’re on 300k to 400k a week?? I’d run all day everyday for that
Simon Jordan - one year as a Premier League chairman. Yet thinks he knows better than any player, manager or fan who’s walked the face of the earth.
He knows better than you for absolute sure!
He’s right tho isn’t he , I’m guessing you don’t work
That's why he failed.

I'd play every day if I was being paid £200k a week
Anyone wouldn't be able to handle it no matter how much they are paid, it's easier said than done
Easily fixable: play less games (far too many games in many cases avoidable), earn less money (diminishing the product the rewards will be lower). Simples!
Oh no have to come in and train for a couple hours every day. Most people watching or in the comments will have worked a 6 or 7 day week on occasion doing 9+ hour shifts for pennies compared to what footballers are paid. Anyone would die at the chanvce to earn that money working few hours a day. If the players want less games give them less games and take the wages that come with them.
Apart from the wages footballers have the best of everything and are protected from the real world issues which we all have to deal with.
Managers have a Squad of 26 players and the top clubs have better depth in that squad the managers should utilise that squad depth more to give players the rest they so desperately crave.
7:14 Simon is too cocky at times, hahaha
Does anybody in the world actually agree with keown😂, 2 hours a day all meals cooked and massaged , or ye and 200 k a week for doing so
The only thing I can think of is time and that is it
Spot on Simon.
Mental rest is just as important as body rest, my wife works in mental health treatment, you have no idea how much of a strain that is.
My mother told me long ago, she would have rather my father had beat her, other than express his difficulties through his mind games .
Yes, footballers, they are highly paid, but they have difficulties as everyone does. Money doesn't buy sanity.
They are not machines lest we forget, you never know what someone is going through.
P.s My father and I have reconciled, I love him dearly :)
People on here claiming they are better than professional athletes because they work in a warehouse is just cracking me up 😂
They should leave their 12 hour shift minimum wage jobs and sign for a premier league club if its that easy.
But it ain't and they can't
Footballers at the top get paid so we'll because not many people can do it
That's not what anyone is saying, you must be thicker than a whales lip if you don't understand?
@@Dan-mm1yl LMAO!! Exactly!
Simon's bang on the money here as always
Just take all prem teams who finish in European places, out of the league cup. Gives them midweek breaks, allows someone outside the 'top 6' to win a trophy, and spreads the fixture list for the teams in champs/Europa league
If players believe they are over work then they should reduce the amount of games they pay and reduce the salary in line with society.
Love Fridays when keowns in there going at it with Simon
Huge thumbs up to Simon! Footballers have a fantastic job and keown says they are “tired” omg get a bloody grip
All martin said was the players need a little bit more rest to give 100% in each game Simon bring money in to it that's all Simon bring everything back to.
Dont have premier league teams play the first team in carabao or FA cup then. Give the others a chance and that will also be good for the lower league teams to progress and make more money
Martin is right but so easy to shut him down by saying how much pl players earn
Which they are entitled to they are top of their profession
How much to Delivery drivers who are top of their profession make?
