    No way would I have ran that call seeing the dog living like that. It’s evident that they have no consideration for their dogs or their own wellbeing with those living conditions. There’s no obligation to help people like that, no heat or otherwise. Still a big fan of your work Curtis.

      Some folks just have no pride. To top it off, plain lazy. Curtis does many jobs I would walk away from, but that money is still green.

      @@jthonn I'm sure there is enough formerly airborn oil and particulates from cooking and other houseold tasks in that dust to ignite. And in a house with a chirping smoke detector, and to make that even worse, young children are present.

    I don’t know about other peoples thoughts but it irks the hell out of me when I see dogs chained up outside. It’s one thing if they are at work but being home and they are chained up outside makes me think that they only have them for when they need them. Over my years I’ve had big and small dogs and they always stayed in the house unless they wanted out to run around in the backyard

      Certain people are not fit to even take care of their own families, imagined having animals at home. Is sad see a dog not knowing what it is to have a loving family that can care of them. Poor dog, I hope someone reports them. 😢

    Those Rheem flame sensors are hard to get to. I take the top plate of burner assembly off (with flame roll out switch). That exposes the flame sensor below and I clean it in place.

    Early in the heating season, 90% of no heat calls are flame sensor issues.

    I always check the ground on the gas valve in addition to cleaning the flame sensor.

      Would have been worse but for the flex line. The flame sensor indicator is nice, but that shows that the designers/engineers know that the sensor is a high failure part, so why do they not make it easily accessible?

      @@cwrowe flame sensors rarely need to be replaced, but definitely need to be cleaned every year or so. Over 30 years of installing and repairing hvac I can probably count on one hand how many flame sensors I’ve actually had to replace.

    So im sitting in my house watching this video with my dog next to me. He jumps up( my dog) walks a few feet away and turns his head at me as soon as we both hear that smoke alarm. I continue to watch video with sound and he goes into another room.
    I cant stand jobs like that in this video. Seeing someone treat a dog like that frustrates the crap out of me and is hard for me not to say something.

      Even without the light on the board, if you have flame for a few seconds then no flame, most of the time its the flame sensor. Clean with scotch brite, never sandpaper.

    0:38 - Dog chained to the gas line? A gas line is one of the last things in this would I would chain a dog to... Watch out for "land mines!" 💩
    1:19 - Smoke detector... Of course. Dollar Store and a step stool, folks, keep yourself and your family members safe! EVERY WEEK should be Fire Prevention Week - at least in daily life.
    13:21 - "...filter was nasty..." That's all too often the case, and they're easy to change, and pretty cheap. Just like 9v batteries. 🤪
