Own the 4K Steelbook as this amazing movie needs to be seen in the best possible way. But also compared it to the accompanying blu ray disc and that blu ray is amazing.
So the differences are very, very minimal. To me the 4K looks a slight bit more stable, crisp and natural in motion. But maybe I WANT to see it…to warrant my purchase 😄
Nevertheless GREAT movie, GREAT release, bring on part 2!
I went back and forwards and the upgrade is minimal in most scenes. yes it's there, but you have to be paying attention to the technicals versus the movie. Thanks as always!

Wow. The 4k improvements are not significant. Almost looks like an upscale.
I really hope they release a full IMAX frame cut to theaters (and home media) next year when Part 2 drops. Especially that bike jump scene: I saw it in full frame IMAX previews (without the effects) ahead of Avatar 2. It was so disappointing that they went 2.35:1 for the whole movie when it released. Still a great movie, but some of those scenes are screaming for the full IMAX treatment.
There's nothing like a 4K release with modern films. The bitrate of other formats cannot compare.
Could you add Prey (4K BR vs 4K Hulu) to the list?

Sad af they never utilized the full frame imax ratio again 🥲 I can say I was disappointed but the film on 4K does still look beautiful!
