i added a lot of things from other games in my version of terraforming mars just like in assassins creed brotherhood when you send your members to go and do some missions, i inserted ships in TM which you can send to complete missions and if successful you earn rewards will ships be successful depends on the upgrades you developed on the ships, this mechanic i inserted from the well known board game eclipse then from mass effect two i added scanning of the planets, through scanning you can discover a lot of materials and stuff, every player gets two scans for free every generation, you get extra scans by developing things also added few more planets which you can scan and you develop things by placing 3 classes of scientists on the blank spots which mechanics i took from board game on mars also added astronauts from asteroid mining and stuff like that workers for factories, scrap metal and other stuff you can process through factories to get steel, titanium and other stuff astronauts and scientists you earn by completing missions with your ships, or by scanning planets, they are very valuable you can also get military strength to conquer some well defended planets without war and collect reward, this mechanics i added from the legendary hit called race for the galaxy also added these scales: pressure, dust storms, radiation, anomalies (there is anomaly hunt science facility which hunts anomalies on mars and you need to reduce the scale) on some other planets you can place river tiles and smaller cities if you discover them in the pile you draw with scan of that planet also every planet has few VP scoring tiles and required materials on those tiles you need to gather through scanning, if you find those materials you can trade and earn points and scientists, this mechanic i added from the game called finca also anomalies spawn randomly every turn like monsters in board game witcher thats about it so far, i really upgraded this game to be big and complex
