Love that you left the difficulties you had in the video. It's fun and real. Thank you for good content
Today I will install 48’ of vinyl fence for some additional privacy from a neighbor. I have watched several videos to help me understand what goes into installing this type of fence. I found your video to be very informative with a little humor mixed in. Awesome video! Thank You, Ric
Glad they're helpful!
My 3rd time watching this video. I'm starting my other side vinyl fence install tomorrow...on an angled slope. The measuring and cutting portion is invaluable. Thank you. I did learn coating the upper rail with Spray-Nice allows for a much easier install to slide in the posts and over the pickets.
Another great demonstration to problems newer installers face all the time, we send your videos to our guys when they can’t understand what we are saying over the phone 👍👍👍
Have a great dang day Dan and team
Amazing! And thanks for the quick and thorough video! No fluff is always great when trying to learn on site
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome concise videos usual! Keep doing what you doing
Appreciate it!
Great tips Dan! Vinyl on a hill can be tricky. I’ve learned the hard way😂 Great video #TeamGSD
Very informative video and comical as well. Getting ready to do my fence and have an angle on one side of our home and this video helped.
Glad it was helpful!
So pro!! ❤
Good, how to build uphill. Now, could we see the reverse, how to build downhill?😳💥
Oh man, that one is so much harder. 😆🤣
I need to know how to do this downhill asap....like yesterday. Please!
@jess4926 it's the same deal
the brand of privacy we work with has 6" pickets so it can go up more of a grade without needing to cut the corners. but it sucks to have 15 pickets to put together instead of 8
good job❤
Thanks!
SWI videos are so much better when Nasal Mark hosts. You say you don't have a hill but I see some 80 or so miles behind you. Why didn't you just use one of those for demonstration purposes?
Your explanation made a lot of sense and solved a mystery in my mind. I could never do it myself, however. I would have the angles on the wrong end or side or something. I'm the kind who measures twice, cuts three times and the board is still too short.
Well done. Keep it coming! Praying for full recovery of your thumb.
Thank you! I"m in my 2nd week of thumb therapy--should be back to 100% in a year or two. 🤣
Not sure what kind of blade you’re running on that table saw but at my company we run a plywood/composite blade backwards when cutting vinyl. Doesn’t chip or crack that way.
Where did you buy the vynil fence individually? Lowes and Home depot are selling 8’ panels only. Thanks
What do u do if your bias or angle of your hill is more then 4inches lets say real steep hill do u open up your rail hole to accommodate the bias do u know what im asking?
Yes open up the rail hole. Open the top of the hole on the uphill side of the post and the bottom of the hole on the downhill side for the best results.
Anything I should know if doing a slope for a wooden fence or am I just following the same steps?
Like the proper way you did that with a table saw but saves me time using a grinder to cut the pickets where they go instead of walking back and forth to the table saw.
What’s the max degree you can go?
What is the name of that privacy fence . All I can find in my area is fixed panels
What kind of self tapping screw should I purchase for my uchannels and the rail locks? Should it be a certain type of metal so it doesn’t rust?
Stainless Steel
You answered my ?
What brackets did you use?
We didn't use any brackets for this; the posts were routed, so we inserted the rails into them.
But the gap at the bottom ?!
The idea is it wouldn't be there if you actually going up a hill.
How about finding a hill before you make a video.
Seriously?
