How much titanium dioxide SHOULD a fence have?
Very important information. Thanks. by the way you used your pointer well!
I put 2-3/8 galvanized post with donut support inside every 5x5 vinyl post to support not to bend when high wind. Plus I put 2x4 inside vinyl rail top and bottom
I still have a homemade prefab concrete fence from 1959. Other than a few rusted rebar posts it is still standing in good shape. Huricane Andrew dropped a tree on it, but since cement, sand and rock are easy to get we repaired it for minimal cost.
That’s awesome. We don’t have those where i live
Thank you for the information. Great video. Please take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎
Thanks Tawni!
Awesome video thanks!!!
No problem!
Video on pricing? Thanks
I live in Minnesota can I get that brand of vinyl fencing here or who is your supplier
Can I do step side style with vinyl fencing? I live on a sloped area and currently have an old wooden fence step side style going downward
I have a vinyl fence installed by my previous home owners. Ours is a walk out basement, which means the backyard slopes away from the home hence when it rains the backyard remains soggy wet for a long time . And there is no air circulation through the fence which makes things worse. Any ideas to work around this issue by increasing air circulation in my backyard?
❤❤❤Loved your info❤❤❤I live in central California- are your fencing supplies available here or do you have a recommendation company for here?😊😊😊
Whoops! Missed this comment. Sorry Michelle! We're happy to ship stuff to you from the website--we don't have an recommendations for company's out there.

Great video! interested in your rail locks and planning to order some for my 150 ft. fence. what type of screw should I use for the rail lock?
We use these: www.swifence.com/swi-self-drill-screw-ty3-1-4-x-1.html?id=14177601 (It's the same one we use for the donuts.)
How does VEKA vinyl fence materials rate????
Anyone use Everstrong vinyl? Is it any good?
Note how calm the weather is when Mark isn't around.
Very helpful video but ... my main fear still resides in vinyl cracking and chipping after it endures a few hard winters and/or that it is much more brittle and therefore delicate when it's very cold outside. Are these founded concerns with good vinyl fencing?
We haven't encountered that on anything we've installed over the years. 👍🏻
where i live it is HEAT. i live in the foot hills of the sierra mt chain. east of stockton ca. it gets hot here. not quit as hot as say phoenix, or las wages, or heaven forbid death valley. will the plastic melt? soften up?
but 115 is normal for up to a month or so in the summer.
can get snow, but this place is below the "snow line". 1 or 2 inches for a full season, mostly melts away in a day. but weeks worth of below zero F in the cold of winter. (had to unfreeze some pad locks this past winter). your east coast so should handle the cold here.
not sure about a "plastic" fence, seen some around and they look like crap within a year. (unknown source).
@@larryjanson4011 That is very helpful information, Larry. Thank you. We get extremes here. The coldest and hottest day of the year could be as much as about 140 degrees F apart. It takes its toll on every kind of material, even stone and steel, so the question is not what will be unaffected but what will stand up to the effects the longest. Many thanks!
@@larryjanson4011had ours for 13+ years in Texas without issue (except for hail chipping a few holes in the top rails)
Thank you
You're welcome! 👍🏻
do you sell anything to prevent the pvc gate doors from slamming because of the wind?
Hmmm, no, not really.
Quick question about frost lines. Some areas of the country have frost lines that are 8 feet deep. What do you do in that situation?
That's outside of my knowledge zone. We don't really have that here, except, I suppose, in Alaska.
Enjoyable infomercial.
So I bought the "Big Box" store Professional Grade and have been asking questions since I saw your comical yet informative videos. I won't divulging my address so you come and critique the crap out of my install. 🤣
Hey no judgement here! Everybody's got to make the right choice for them. And I'm sure your install looks fine. 👍🏻💪🏻
@@SWiFenceThanks and we'll see if it all works out. Thank you for your videos and answers to questions. Just had a major storm so 4 of my 4 holes dug today are full of water. 4 more holes to dig tomorrow.
How do you clean vinyl fences? what product do you recommend?

So what was the width of the professional grade big box store?
All of the box store posts were the same--it was just the panels that were different. So any box store posts we skipped would've measured the same.
Have you ever put a vinyl fence on a composite deck for privacy?
I never have.
@@SWiFence We are trying to install a 6’ semi privacy fence onto a composite deck. And I’m having a hard time with manufacturers, wanting to sell me their products because it supposed to go in the ground.
Do you guys install in Illinois ?
We do not. Sorry.
It's no wonder Mark doesn't let you produce the video's. I never realized the importance of titanium dioxide in the vinyl fence material. Do his sub's now get questioned about the percentage of titanium dioxide?*
I think that there must be some posts made with a recycled core that are made to a higher quality standard.
Same warranty as the company I'd subbed from.
*We had at least two subs that could barely read or write.
Is lowes fence ok? Let me know
We build/compare some box store vinyl in this video: ua-cam.com/video/VuZJkf9JzG4/v-deo.html
Dan the man
Who gave him a pointer come own up who gave him the pointer . o boy you are in trouble?
I'll never say! 😆😆
The bracket system is horrible. Avoid it entirely.
Vinyl fences have some advantages, but overall they just look institutional and cheap compared to a nice wood fence.
Preferences really vary regionally. Some parts of the country vinyl is what everybody wants.
Vinyl fencing is like legos. Is what it is no explanation needed. A five year old could figure it out.
