Great review. Looking at this or the pilot. Pathfinder pros: 6000 lbs towing, vents in the ceiling, screen more integrated, cheaper, not everyone has one. Pilot pros: better 3rd row& cargo, versatile bench/Captain chairs (though no arm rests), better handling awd system, better history of reliability. I still can't decide. I guess i need to test drive to decide.
lot of other safety features but no safety lock for gas tank door?... i cant avoid thinking that other bad guys can just open your gas tank and put anything to your gasoline tank. I have Pajero and doesnt have much safety features but gas tank is secured. you need to pull something inoreder to open it. its so safe. why this car doesnt have safety feature for the gas tank door?.... why?
@@marvinnguyen-colorado2018 that is so sad my friend. what if the car is on and you just went out to get something and someone who is crazy openned your gas tank and gas cap and put somethin?..... so sad. they said that if you are inside and lock the doors, gas door will be locked also, ok thats fine, so everytime, you need to always lock the doors. but you know, this car is basically pricy and without this safety feature? my Pajero Mitsubishi 2008 has even the safety feature for gas door, no.one can just open it unless i pull something beside the steering wheel
@@mlee1101_ I’ve had four , a light truck and 3 pathfinders , my favorite was the 19991/2 , I’m currently driving a 2018. I’m told the cvt transmission will be its undoing.
The things that have given Nissan buyers the biggest problems in recent years are not on this vehicle: -CVT (this has a normal auto) -Variable Compression engine (this has a normal V6) So the Pathfinder should be more reliable than most other Nissans. That being said, I personally have not had great reliability with Nissans I’ve owned. But then again, new cars have so many things that can go wrong, it’s a crap shoot with any new car you buy. Even new Toyotas are having major problems. If you want a reliable vehicle, get a ten year old Toyota and drive it till the wheels fall off. I have a 17 year old Toyota Avalon with well over 300,000 miles and it just keeps going.

I almost never see Pathfinders. More choices per trim levels vs. Pilot too. More colors which I like.
Pathfinder timing chain big plus for me. Pilot has timing belt.
This was an excellent review!
How tall are you? for 3rd row perspective
5'10
Do you have a video like this on the SL?
Hi Tom, can you review the platinum Pathfinder?
That video will be LIVE at 9:30 AM cst tomorrow morning. 😎
No fog lights on a sv?
It’s an option not a standard option
Even the platinum doesn’t have them unless you choose the option

Is the Pathfinder sv road noise more quiet than the Honda Pilot?
The Pathfinder definitely has less road noise than the Pilot.
@VehicleVisionary Ok thank. I'm doing some research before I go look at them in personal.
Needs a power trunk
It does have power trunk you have to turn it on in the settings

Gas tank door can only be open when door is unlocked
