- In this video, I review the 2024 Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid.. While the name may suggest this being a sporty SUV, the only thing sporty about it is the looks.. Haha. However, while it may not be the most exhilarating driving experience, it is a very reliable, efficient, and comfortable vehicle. Is it the right SUV for YOU? Watch the video and decide that for yourself..

I'd like to see ventilated front seats, panoramic roof, 360 camera and ambient lighting to compete with other top trims out there
I don't needed the panoramic sunroof but it's the lack of ventilated seats and interior lighting that pisses me off and makes me very reluctant to buy this vehicle. However there's really no competition for everything else you get for the money including of course reliability
@@lionintu The CRV is a nice ride and you can't go wrong with Honda. The lack of features compared to others was a deal breaker for me. I also forgot no HUD and the small infotainment screen. In my comparison of the CRV, CX50, Tiguan, RAV4 and Venza. The Venza came out on top. Most don't even know about it, which included me prior.
I agree the 360 camera is a must! I have one in my 2016 Nissan Rogue and can't live without it.
360 camera and heads-up display needs to be standard.
For keyless entry, you can unlock all doors. Go to Settings -> vehicle settings -> keyless access setup. Thee default is Driver door, but you can change this to all doors.
Panoramic roof as well is a must
Two things; in the rear you are not supposed to lift the floor on hybrid models - it is not for storage. And, the steering wheel paddles - they are not for downshift and upshift! They are for regenerative braking only. In other words, if you are on the highway coasting and you pull the left paddle once, the car will slow down a little (regen braking for the battery). Press it again, harder slowing. Press it again, very hard slowing. It won't stop the car, but close. Pressing the right paddle eases the regen process. Driving in "B" instead of "D" gives you pseudo one-pedal driving. This is where the paddles come in handy too - in one-pedal driving mode, how much regen (how hard do you want to slow) do you want.
The Lexus RX 350h has a spare tire under the rear floor. Honda just did a poor job with battery positioning
I hope Honda CRV hybrid does better on the next iteration as far as the spare tire
I appreciate this video. Took one out for a drive and my husband talked so much to the salesman (who was new on the job) that I didn't get to ask many questions about the controls.
Definitely agree with your major call outs. Power retractable mirrors, 360 camera, etc is criminal as not a standard option
Yup!
We are buying this car and I agree I would have loved to have the 360 camera. Thanks for your informative video.
You did an excellent and detailed review. Thank you! I agree - the 360 degree camera should be standard for this model, along with cooling seats.
Agreed
I am hoping they add for the 2025 refresh 😊
360 Camera, Heated and ventilated front seats / heated rear seats are all standard features of 2024 CRV's in Europe and Asia !!! Why the USA doesn't have it is beyond me. Marketing ? Deferring to the Acura brand for more upscale features ? Also, HOMELINK should be STANDARD vs a $250 add on.
@@ptg01In Europe only in Advance version.
I agree the 360 camera would be nice to have, but coming from never having it you really don't miss it that much either. I think reviewers are a little spoiled getting to drive everything. I just believe if you never had it you will not really miss it. I also have always wondered what impact it has on these new vehicles reviewers getting to grab a vehicle with 28 miles on it in this case and take it out and floor it repeatedly. I hear even in 2023 2024 times that is still bad to do to a new vehicle. I get the benefit of it in the review for viewers, but it's unfortunate for the unsuspecting buyer.
If you don't think people who are test driving these things aren't doing the same, you're wrong. It's just not recorded
I had one in my last car and don't miss it.
You did a great job on your description of the vehicle Thank you very much!
This was a very helpful review. I just bought this exact vehicle today. My first hybrid.
Me too!!
Me too!! 2 days ago. I got a red one.
Now my first new Honda CR-V Hybrid to buy.
We bought a sport L and love it. Incredible piece of smooth technology!
Nice video! I think it needs a garage door opener remote. I was surprised that is doesn't come with that. 🤦♂🤷
Me too!!
Homelink mirror is an option 😊
yes to the 360° camera
I agree 360 in 2024 is a must
Yes it would be nice if it's got a 360 deg camera !!
360 camera and fog lights are must have for a top trim vehicle.
Yup!!
Just bought this vehicle in Washington. Thank you for your additional explanation of everything it does.. that’s why I watched today you were awesome!
Right on! Thank you!
Pricing info plz, also which dealer?
Great job in my first Honda Hybrid SUV bro.
Yes I wish they would put a 360 camera on at least the sport touring with it being top trim level. Plus ventilated cooled seats and power folding mirrors on the doors as well. Then it would be perfect in my opinion.
Absolutely needs the 360
Yes, on the 360 camera
Yes, I agree 100% with you that it should have a 360° camera! There is no excuse for the 2024 model not to have it
Always love your videos. Entertaining and incredibly informative. Thanks for all that you do - I know a lot of work goes into these.
Brown's Arlington Honda is where i bough my very first brand new car, 2000 Honda Prelude (Born and Raised in Arlington!). They are a great dealership. I am getting ready to buy this CRV at Safford Brown Glen Bernie ATM. Thanks to this video for a comprehensive walkthrough and review.
Something i wish this had, peasant blockers aka rear window sun shades for kids.
That’s so cool! What made you move out of Arlington? Happy the video could help.. Peasant blockers can be had on the odyssey 😂
Love my 2024 touring hybrid. You are not supposed to store anything under the back cover. That's where the hybrid battery is and not meant for storage.
I've lived without a 360 camera all my life. Sure, it's nice to have but it is certainly not a must. I won't miss it.
Fair enough
It's also missing front ventilated seats, rear heated seats and the 9" screen is way too small!
Exciting passing power, I agree with you, I have the 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport L and it's fun to drive but it's not exciting as a vehicle like a BMW, but believe it or not, I think the design of this CR-V is nicer than a BMW say X3 both inside and out, but that just maybe personal preference.
No its not just you. Many people comment on its beautiful exterior design (in fact thats the very first thing that people say). Its an excellent vehicle all around.
Great honest review, thanks. Anyways, do you feel it should come with a 360 degree view camera? Just kidding! You mentioned that too many times!
Good video! I wish you had shown us where the tire pump is in back and also how to preset your seats with fob and also talk about the different drive modes to improve gas mileage? Maybe next video? Thank you!
Very informative, I like your video!
Nice review! The other option I would like to see is heads up display. To me it's much more useful that the surround view. Also cross view traffic alert when backing up is a nice feature.
Thank you
The safety system does alert for cross traffic when backing up.
Cameron this review of the 2024 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid is the Best 5Star on the web. We just ordered one after visiting 2 separate dealerships with NO product on the lot.
Thank you for your efforts. 😎 My wife wanted the 360 camera however as you know its not available.
Yes must have 360 camera at least
It needs a 360 degree camera for a top level model
Just bought the 2025 and the horn sounds great compared to the 2023 and 2024.
Great job of describing the 3024 Honda CRV!
Very Nice Review! Supper Specific And Detailed!
I like your intro bro! It's nice that you hope everyone is doing well, not a lot of youtubers do that at the start.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
A bigger sun roof would be nice as well.
Great video man! Awesome content you provide all the details us car freaks love to see!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you!
Not everyone like gloss black wheels. I think satin gun metal would look better. Also, there looks to be plenty of room for a spare tire. Honda needs to include one.
Unfortunately there is not enough room for a spare tire. Yes, it would be nicer to have a spare! However, the trend for many companies is now not to include one. Consumer reports estimated back in 2017 that 1/3 of cars sold no longer came with a spare tire. I imagine that number is higher now and will grow (excluding big trucks maybe). But it isn't a deal breaker unless one drives a lot in rural areas. Tire kits will fix most issues. Good tires will not tear on the side wall unless there is an accident or you hit something. Can always get a spare kit for longer trips in rural areas.
Would like to see Ventilated seats, Power Folding Mirrors and HomeLink buttons on the rear-view mirror.
I have a 2023 crv exl love it
Working on my 3rd crv!❤
You going to get this one?
Great video. Love the details.
I appreciate it
29:35 Kid doing 35 to 45 in a 20mph zone 😂
Looks great 👍 Talking too fast. 💨
Great review ✅.
This SUV is huge. Massive torque for passing. Infotainment perfect with more physical buttons. Fast tablet speed. Incredible efficiency. Super quiet. Heated rear seats standard (🇨🇦)
Car & Driver rated it 10/10 ✅
Currently rated #1 and the best seller.
If only they would have included a fully digital drivers display and a 12.3 infotainment screen like the accord. However the touring CRV does have a neat little backup camera washer and XM radio unlike the Accord. The other thing is either vehicle is pretty expensive especially in the touring trim though the Accord is a couple of thousand bucks cheaper and gets much better mileage if reviews are to be believed.
Great video😊
Fog lights would’ve been nice.
The are L shaped fog lights aftermarket but you have to take the bumper off to install.
Great review, but why not bring up no surround view camera. I'd like to have that.
Nice review!!👍👍great details 👍
Thank you!
Going with the RAV4 Limited…has spare, heads up display, all digital monitors, dials, pano roof, better MPG, heated and ventilated seats, ambient lighting. A shame top trim of CRV does not even come close to the Toyota. I did love the larger interior and leg room of the CRV though.
RAV4 limited is a nice car, but it has it's downsides too, and comes at a premium price especially with the dealer mark-ups Toyota still has. Both are great SUV hybrids. It comes down to what is most important when comparing the pros and cons of each one. I compared them both and personally, I appreciate the smoother ride, quieter cabin, roomier cabin, and more cargo space over 360 view, pano roof, and ventilated seats. I also like the exterior design better. Should the CRV touring have 360 view? Yes. Is it a deal breaker considering the quality of the car and details I mentioned above? Nope. I think both CRV and RAV4 owners will be happy with their vehicles!
The headroom getting into the RAV4 is very tight, I’m 6’ and have to bend my neck every time I get in. Much easier in the CRV and back seat room is huge. I like how the back doors open almost 90° too for easy entry and egress.
Excellent job on the video !
Yes on the 360 rearview mirror. Btw - are there any 2024 Honda Cr-v Touring only?
Love the color too
Great video review. I agree on the 360 view camera. However, I was more disappointed that this model does not have two features that my 2019 Accord Hybrid Touring model has. The Homelink garage door opener and I really miss and the Heads Up Display. Other than that, I love the car.
This should absolutely have homelink. My 2007 Ridgeline has homelink..
great video, thanks, agree 1000% with you that it needs a 360 system, incomprehensible...same as for the power rear view mirrors
Absolutely camera 360 !! Also side mirrors should be same colour as car , roof window should be panoramic & should have an open close button to cover window instead of manually having to close the window cover ! & since I’m being picking .. get rid of the grey & silver trims . Put them all black .
Yes, I agree with you regarding 360 camera feature. I find it hard to see if I am between the lines, when I pull in a parking space. Can Honda add that in?
Also, please explain how the Battery button works. Advantages and disadvantages.
I love this color on this honda crv can you do a comparison with this and the rav4 limited hybrid
I can try!
Agree should of came in. What about the home link on the sport🧐
Great video- you think they would have figured out how to add a second person in the remote start app. Instead we have to share the same account.
@29:57 Whoa!!!Got to let the suv turn. The car tells you to brake. Everyone is in such a hurry “nowadays” that they will rear end you when you’re turning.
"Doesn't have an exciting driving experience."
-Spends the whole time driving the car in B mode.
Great to see Honda finally make the CR-V attractive after all these years! They did a nice job. with the current generation. Sadly, the interior still needs improvement. One step at a time I suppose. Unfortunately, Honda didn’t get the memo that the tablet look for infotainment is old school. Also, no 360 degree camera or heated rear seats? Where is the panoramic sunroof and fully digital gauge cluster? Are those really black leather seats with no ventilation. Going to be lots of sweaty crotches out there.
All of those missing elements would make me opt for the competition.
Lolll. One thing at a time!
@@703Speed Haha! It’s true!
Not me, I will buy a fully loaded CR-V PHEV anyway because a nine inch infotainment is perfect for me, 360 degree camera is available worldwide, and so is the digital gauges, and you are a bullshit.
and one thing at a time is SO 2015.
Where are those options you listed? They are all on the Euro model. Including a plug-in hybrid. I don't think they get rear heated seats. But all the others you listed....they get it. Check the car wow uk review...
This is an amazing upgrade from my 2021 CR-V Hybrid Touring however the lack of fog lights and the stick-on infotainment screen are a no-sale.
New headlamp technology is replacing the need for fog lights.
@KDastmalchi what a crock. All the newest Honda models have them. For the usefulness the fog lights have to be mounted nearer to the road.
Needs the 360° camera, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. I love the way it looks, but I'd probably buy a vw tiguan or Mazda cx5 because you can get those options for close to the same price.
VW Tiguan will be in the shop at least once every 3 months. Worst car I have ever encountered.
Agreed!
Never seen anyone say anything good about the Tiguan.
The hybrid is really nice but Honda needs to figure out the noise from the battery when you are backing up. At this price point, you should not hear the rattle from the battery when backing up or when your foot is on the brake pedal.
The noise is to alert people you are backing up
The RAV4 has it too as do newer hybrids in some form or another. By law, hybrids have to have a noise of some kind to alert pedestrians because hybrids are otherwise too quite and you cannot hear them.
I tend to get 33mpg combined on my 2024 Honda CRV hybrid sport touring. Any idea why? I drive mostly city which confuses me as to why I’m not getting 40MPG.
Any advice is appreciated. 😊
Because hybrids are a scam. Flavor of the day. Cookie cutter. Why bother buying it when a ice car does just as good
The ‘24 CR-V seems nice. I had the ‘18 Touring and really I liked it. I sold it last year to purchase my ‘22 Acura RDX A-Spec Advance. I love it. I don’t know if I could ever go back to a CR-V. I’ve reached an age where great gas mileage is not one of my concerns. You touched on all the high points…..excellent video! 👍🏼
I have 23 RDX and might go with 25 CRV if they add some content 😊
@@mj8495 I hear ya! 👍🏼
Thank you! Acura is definitely a step above Honda
@@mj8495 I would assume RDX and CRV's are cousins with RDX having more upscale features / comfort / quieter ?
Love mine. But not needing to purchase a spare tire kit for $500.
Any real benefit going to touring trim over L other than bose sound system? Is the touring quieter in the cabin
I drive the crv and the cx50 from Mazda and I buy the Mazda no cvt and more power engine
The HRV looks really nice, but I agree that for the price and considering most of, if not all, of the competition has 360 camera system on their top trim. Also, I think only one of the exhaust tips are functional. Not a big deal just saying. Also, most the competition offers a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats. It is a nice vehicle but if it cost just as much or more than the competition then I want the most bang for my buck. If I had to pick between the CRV or Rav4, I would go Rav4. I test drove a few SUV in this class and I ended up with the Hyundai Tucson Limited. Hyundai has been getting a lot of criticism lately, but I have not had any issues and have owned mine since June 2022 and you get the most banh for the buck. To each his/her own though.
This definitely needs the features mentioned. I'm honestly surprised Honda is lacking on that stuff.. The Tucson is nice, I've just heard some things about their reliability.
yes, 3 main issues with the CRV 1) no 360 cam, 2) cams are the same crap resolution as my 2017 Odyssey, 3) no HUD. I mean they have a hud in Canada on the top trim but not here in the U.S. What the heck Honda?
Came from RDX and don't miss these features...CRV is a very pleasant vehicle and very functional even if it is missing some of the bells and whistles 😊
Having to add aftermarket fog lights... flashback to 1986... jeez!
Better then rav4
Great!! 👍🏼
I’m comparing this and RAV4 I like crv bigger but Rav offer more I’ll see
For the price tag of the Sports Touring hybrid, there was no richness of materials used for seats, dashboard, and basically throughout the car. I'll pass on 2024 and 2025 models. There are better options.
100k sub gang
Yessirrr 🤝
What is the flickering of the parking lights that come on once in a while.
Thank you, well done. I'm still leery of electric cars. Peace.
Me too! I'm a gas kinda guy
I’m OK with the idea of HEV, but PHEV and EV is absolutely ridiculous.
Agreed@@Ricky-mo6mv
@@703Speed Again. So true.
The other design flaw I see if the phone charging pad. Phone is going to bee all over that thing as you drive, and it's not actually doing to charge.
Needs panoramic sunroof
Great!
How would you compare this to a Nissan Rogue SL?
Does the Sport Touring come with the autodim rear view mirror? I thought that was an option 🤔
It comes with auto dim rear view mirror. The integrated garage opening rear view mirror is an option, but doesn't come with it. I just bought one which is how I know!
What color is that crv?
😊 I agree with you 110,000,000,000% 😂
Definitely required 360 camera
That horn sound is weak!
Honda horn upgrade is $50 and well worth it 🎉
It's a very muscular design. Nice departure from their usual boring designs
It’s apparent that they bit the bullet this time and had someone competent design this generation.
I'm definitely going to get a Sport Touring trim either for 2024 or 2025. I saw a video that showed a 2024 CRV with 7 seats. There were two pull-up seats behind the rear seats. Is this only an option in non-US countries?
only non us, dont wait
Grand CRV - coming for 2025/26...
30:14 I'm not a lady but if I was the guy you slowed down to let me cross the road for, I would have waved a thank you for it. It's only right but not everyone is on this planet to do the right thing unfortunately.
question: How far can one go only on the battery power?
30 miles
Pretty cool small SUV, but I don't know, Toyota has something for me what Honda hasn't. 360 cam view should be option. 360 cam view should be an option. Driver should be focused an should know what's happening around the car. Greetings
Nothing for nothing... Drivers should know how to drive WITHOUT relying on cameras.
Anyone have any ideas what they will add on the 2025 model?
