I have not been able to solve the following issue with power automate I have a spreadsheet with URL addresses I loop through the cells and open up the web pages and capture the screen I then write that screen back to the spreadsheet but on certain websites it fails because the screen contains certain characters that Excel tries to interpret as a formula I cannot find a way to set the cell I am copying the web page into, to be of type 'text', which would stop Excel trying to treat the information as a formula Anyhow encounter this issue before and how did you solve it? It seems power automate had no option for this sort of fine control 😞

I can't believe I just sat through a 3 hour video, voluntarily....I was glued to the screen. I learnt so much, it was easy to follow and understand. Also by not editing out the mistake (which of course was by design 😏) perfectly explained how to correct such things. I wish I had watched this before I started trying to set up Flows way back, it would have saved me soooo much time.
I am looking for a way to create a tool which automatically takes employees' information from our company's intranet (which is SharePoint-based) and inserts the data into table cells in a Word template in order to build what we call a team sheet. Let's say that I want to create a team sheet listing two employees: Mary Jones and John Smith. Mary and John have their separate pages on our intranet which contain their photos, names, job titles, phone numbers and email addresses. Is there any way I can get the tool to locate Mary's page on the intranet, insert her photo into one table cell, insert Mary's name, job title, telephone number, cell phone number and email address into the next cell, then do the same for John? Does power automate support file sharing? I want to create a data driven subscription and for each record in that dataset a report file is generated and drop this to a file sharing folder or our nas/unix folder.
I managed to create a flow which downloads attachment from emails to one drive. But I need to be able to convert the format of the file whe it gets saved using the flow. The files are sent through a broadcaster in SAP P10 as XML spreadsheet 2003 format and I need it in excel format in order to compress the size and make it compatible with power query to do my actual task. My question is, is there a way to use power automate or desktop automate to download the attachment as a desired format?

You have done enough for me in this great course, however, I have a small issue I am unable to figure out. I have made an approval cloud workflow, and the only issue seems to be the dynamic content. I have tried File Id, File name encoded, file path encoded, file etag, content type, file content - and always get an error in the link that it puts in the email. Is there something I am missing? I feel like I have tried so many options and watched other videos, which all seem to match yours -so not sure what I am missing. Hello, I have created a scheduled flow that runs monthly. I have two excel file in SharePoint, and I created the flow that will pull data from one excel file (let's say Excel 1) and paste the data to ther excel sheet (Excel 2). So, my flow is : Recurrence>List rows in a Table> Add a row in a Table. So for the very first month (January), it runs well, however when my flow runs for February, it also pulls January data again along with February data. How can I stop getting the data that is already pulled by the previous run? Please help me out.

Good video but waffly. I watched a 15minute video that covered everything in this course an I still understood it. The presenter knows his stuff but the presentation could have been more succinct.
Your teaching is good, but the strategy you adopt for the materials you are using is not favorable for beginners. You need to start everything from scratch. I am getting errors because I can't set up the output controls that you have already configured. We need to know how those configurations are made if you want us to follow you. Otherwise, this is just not good for beginners.

My advice for anyone starting with power automate that want to learn fast is to do as many real world projects as possible, when starting a project test the outputs of your actions and save often, google is your friend don't try to reinvent the wheel, it's a buggy platform and a real pain to work with but it can also be really rewarding
how do you extract "Plain Text" out look emails with power automate without using the HTML to Text converter since the outlook email is already in Plain text format

My first thought always is an invalid character in the file name path. Try running again without any special characters if possible.

I'm not familiar with that specific data source but if there's an API you should be able to build your own.

One question though - I'm using MacBook Pro, and was not able to Install the Power Automate Desktop on my system, is there a work around for this, or the Mac users should forget about using the Desktop version?

Good video but waffly. I watched a 15minute video that covered everything in this course an I still understood it. The presenter knows his stuff but the presentation could have been more succinct.

Your teaching is good, but the strategy you adopt for the materials you are using is not favorable for beginners. You need to start everything from scratch. I am getting errors because I can't set up the output controls that you have already configured. We need to know how those configurations are made if you want us to follow you. Otherwise, this is just not good for beginners.

My advice for anyone starting with power automate that want to learn fast is to do as many real world projects as possible, when starting a project test the outputs of your actions and save often, google is your friend don't try to reinvent the wheel, it's a buggy platform and a real pain to work with but it can also be really rewarding

Great video i was wondering if you can help, i cannot add yammer into my Sharepoint because of work restrictions, but i am trying to create a flow that posts a new feed onto a page in sharepoint from either a SP list or Microsoft forms, as an alternative to using the yammer chat app as people can then comment on the news/chat there. thanks
