I say that because most people who have truck, don't usually use them to their full potential. Just bought a 2024 Ridgeline RTL and I love it!
At 78 y/o it was time for me to step down from my full size GMC 4x4.
My Ridgeline is simply FANTASTIC, and would recommend it to anyone!!

I just purchased this exact same truck.. same color.. 3 weeks ago. I traded my 2017 Silverado z71 with a v8 after the transmission had a catastrophic failure. Still got $18k trade for it tho.. so that was good. I was worried about downsizing after being in full size trucks for the past 25 years.. but I'm really enjoying this truck. Much more than I expected. Its a real joy to drive.
The phone charger didn’t work because your phone was facing screen down.
The same saps that say the Ridgeline isn’t a real truck are now lined up to buy a maverick.
I have been looking at Ridgelines for years. So glad they came out with them again. Just leased a RTL It has all the bells and whistles and is what the doctor ordered. 5 STARS on the RTL

CORRECTION:
D/S shift. S is NOT sport mode, it is Sequential mode for manual shifting.
Also turns off the Auto Start/Stop feature automatically.
@@louiep9862 No it doesn't, it only puts you in normal or sequential mode. The button below that (closer to the arm rest/console) is a different button.
I have been watching several videos of the Ridgeline lately and yours is quite frankly the most detailed and informative so far. Keep up the good work and I did subscribe.
This vehicle is for people not wanting a truckie-truck. It's good for what it's intended for. I like it!
Great review Kenny! This would be my choice if I was looking for a truck. For me the full sized ones have gotten too huge. That trunk in the bed is so great as well. Hope that you are doing great!

I have a 2023 RTL Ridgeline in the now-dropped Obsidian Blue Pearl and really love the truck. I'm just a casual hauler so I'd rather have a comfortable ride all the time than go for a body-on-frame truck with a roller coaster feel on every drive. While the price of the Ridgeline is comparable to other mid-size pickups similarly equipped ($40,000 - $50,000), i wish Honda would lower the price about $5000 per trim to really jumpstart sales. Honda sells only about 5,000 Ridgelines per month in the US while the Tacoma and others like the Colorado sell in the 10's of thousands. In short, ALL trucks are overpriced because the carmakers can charge whatever they want. Looking forward to a hybrid powertrain someday.
The Ridgeline are great. Really a slept on truck. I’m really surprised they don’t sell more. But the prices haven’t gone up thatttt much. My 2007 RTL’s sticker was $35k back in the day. So not really a huuuggeee jump
Phone charger green light means on, yellow light means charging, 15w charge, phone protection case can impede charging. 9 speed transmission no CVT. Glove box has a trunk lock switch.
Just got mine same every thing…we love it!!
Had an 06 that I was very happy with. Have a 23 now. So far so good.
Full-sized truck owners are trading in for the Ridgeline. They dont need all heavy duty.

For me, it must have power folding side mirrors which are only found on the Sport or Black additions for 2024.
fyi on the BE Ridgeline blind spot monitoring does now work below 20mph so, be careful on your slow merges.. adaptive cruise control is not stop and go and does not work below 25mph. the front parking sensors is only one sensor in each corner, it wont detect a parkiing pole or smaller cars.. the vented seats are not that powerful even on high mode. the passenger seat does not have height adjustment. it doesnt have hill descent control.
You can get the RTL with a coffee brown interior, but maybe only with the white exterior? It looks way better in person than I thought it would.
I have the coffee brown on my 24 Ridgeline in the exterior color is steel
RTL comes with 3 interior color options. Grey, Black, and Brown.
However, each is dependent upon the exterior color selected. Some exterior colors only give you the option for 1 interior color.

I have a 2012 RTL. It has I think 8.2 inches of ground clearance. I love the truck but agree with many people that the truck would be perfect with around 9 inches. It sucks they have gone down in clearance. I’m not someone who believes in putting lift kits on vehicles and then stuffing larger tires on there. Most lifted trucks have LESS capability (towing, load) than OEM. I mean, the engineers have got it figured out for maximum gas, mileage and everything. I just wish they would have an option from the factory if I ever desire to buy a new Ridgeline for factory higher clearance.

Awesome video! I am eventually looking to get my first truck and am leaning towards getting a Ridgeline. I am looking for something as a comfortable daily driver; survive through the Pennsylvania snow; drive passengers around here and there; and able to haul my fishing gear and a 9.6ft kayak in the bed.
I really like this truck it looks good. Yes I know it’s not like your traditional pickup truck from Ford, Chevy and so on but not everyone needs a big truck like the F-150. But now the things I don’t like about the Ridgeline. The push buttons for the gear selector. If Honda did this to make it easy to reach for your drinks or whatever you might have on the console why not put the gear selector on the column that would solve that problem. Next, why did Honda do away with the temperature gauge on the instrument panel? I think that was a stupid move on their part but I guess they did it to save money. I guess they want to go back to the old days when cars had idiot lights that would come on when it was too late to save the engine. So for now I’ll just wait maybe next year’s model Honda will make better changes and bring back the temperature gauge and do away with those push buttons or maybe move them to the dashboard area. But I won’t hold my breath for that to happen.

We really like our 2 3:00 020 Black Edition, You don't need a large screen, Unless You think over $3.000-$7.000 is cheap for some of the large touch screens.

It's BETTER than a "truck" ...real trucks are on an old fashioned frame.. body on frame is for grandpa's 😂.. dates back to the horse and buggy days..

Not even close, different footprint, different wheel base, different center of gravity, totally different handling characteristics, better/higher visibility, I could go on, but I think you just might get it.
