Feel the Noise | Night Railway Photography | 1Z10 with Class 37 & Class 68 at York Station

- What an atmosphere under the spectacular roof of York Station, what a noise those Class 37 and Class 68's make too , with locomotives in abundance, the classic class 37's on the RHTT train making a stunning sight and sound under the magnificent York Station roof, plus plenty of class 68 action on the Trans Pennine train service between York and Scarborough.
This video covers two nights at York Station where I joined some 1Z10 Railway Photography buddies for an evening of night rail photography.

2021 represents a significant milestone in the history of the Phoenix Railway-Photographic Circle with the celebration of our 50th anniversary by publishing a book to showcase some of the members work, past and present, from 1971 to the present day.
The book contains 14 chapters and 144 pages of photographs depicting the work of over 50 accomplished railway photographers with many different styles and approaches. It takes an alternative view on photographing the railway scene over the past 50 years.

Thanks, I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos, the editing is nothing too sophisticated, I use the free iMovie App on Mac.

1Z10 is the name of a group of railway photographers who mainly share photos on Flickr, there’s regular meet ups around the country - I joined the group a couple of years ago. If you look on Flickr and search 1Z10 in groups.
