  • Revit Family Tutorials for Beginners Complete. This session will introduce you to the basics of Family Editor. You will find that while Family Editor is extremely powerful, it can actually be great fun. In this short introduction to Family Editor, we will create a Revit component family complete with constraints and parameters. Don’t worry if you don’t know what a constraint or parameter is-we’ll cover that too. Whether you’ve never worked in Revit software before, or you’ve used Revit software for a while but you’ve simply avoided Family Editor, this class will teach you the basics of the family editor in a simple step-by-step fashion. (The session uses architectural examples, but the concepts apply to all of the flavors of Revit software, including Revit LT software.) This session features Revit Architecture, Revit, and Revit LT. Major topics covered in this tutorial are:
    - Learn how to create a simple, fully parametric model family
    - Learn how to use reference planes, constraints, and parameters
    - Learn how to nest components and set up a parametric array
    - Learn how to apply materials and other accoutrements

    Loved this! Being very, very new to Revit, it's nice to go through a family guide that doesn't take knowledge for granted and explains even the most basic tools.

    I am very GREEN at Revit learning on my own and I want to say you have been the best among presenter/teachers of Revit so far. I am wondering do you do anything on the Piping side of this program. Or can you point me to an individual that does the same as you.

    Hi CAD Tutorials,
    Any understanding of what is Revit Imperial to Revit Metric users ratio in the world, Please.
    Thank you very much.

    • @alexbalog3468
      @alexbalog3468 3 роки тому +1

      63% of Revit users are in the US and UK. I'm assuming that everyone in those two places use imperial and everyone else uses metric. Therefore, 63 imperial : 37 metric

    If we use metric, which file do we open at the start (to make a new template)?
    I don't have the 'General Model' Template like he does...
