I’m an interior designer worked on CAD most my career of 15 years. This really helped getting my feet wet for Revit projects at work. Thank you for very clear and comprehensive first tutorial!

As someone who is currently jobless after completing my Masters degree from the University of Birmingham, I found this course. February 29, 2024, is the date I start this course, and I hope that with this skill, I may land a job in a good company.
I use Revit a LOT at work to review models and basically flail like a drowning person. Tis will be super helpful! I'm looking forward to finishing the whole series.
I used Sketch up back in uni for my projects (8years ago) and I couldn't get understand the hype around Revit. Well that was until i decided to teach myself n use it for my fourth year final project. It was so simple to understand and efficient. Wish I had something like this to keep me from guessing functions. I'll keep watching though. I could learn something new.

I really liked your approach of teaching, where in the beginning itself you took off the load from viewers mind, as Revit is a complex software and just focusing on what is Important. Specifically the tabs. Kudos. Am new to revit and am following your tutorials, its so quick and easy to understand. Thanks.
thanks bro. You were tremendous. You explained everything very clearly. I am a 30year user of ACAD from Dos time Acad 9 or 8. Green screen and you were easy to listen to. Thanks. From Trinidad And Tobago.
Finally! A tutorial that doesn't have the mic shoved up against the guys throat so you can hear every time they gulp. I swear every Autodesk tutorial I have looked at so far I've had to close because of that sound.
Such an amazing, enjoyable, helpful tutorial ever seen, a true evidence of 20/80 rule efficiency, direct to the point, crystal clear presentation, engaging presenter. May you Kyle Sinko be blessed more. More Power to you and thank you for this effort to be an instrument to those people who at first afraid of this software. Really scary at some point you just want to stay with autocadd but with this tutorial it makes everyone feel at home to try revit and make way to success in their Architectural journey.
I’m a Landscape architect student at QUT, and we generally steer clear of 3D modelling on our projects and stick to autocad, would be nice if they started teaching more of this BIM stuff.

Kyle, i want to say thank you for uploading this series of Revit Tutorials. Being a floor & truss designer, i am trying to learn Revit so i can start designing homes for myself. One question i had tho, was the 1st height. I noticed you mention the porch/front entrance being 0mm but then the 1st level being 1400mm which was based off 7 (200mm) risers. At 21:22 you can see the floor plan & it shows 4 risers up to the landing/ 1st level. That being said , the 1st floor is actually 800mm above the front entrance. Let me know if i am understanding this correctly. I would greatly appreciate your response. Thank you nonetheless. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
I think another way to find the height from photo is checking the dimensions of one of the windows from the plan, scale the photo using the window as a point and measure the height

Coming from Archicad and Revit seems to be much more detail ! it doea intimidating at first, but I'll try... Maybe i switch to Revit as my main BIM tools
Lol, had the exact same experience when I was 10yo. Ran to the shed to get something. In the meantime my mom closed to sliding door. And I was in full sprint on the way back. Actually jumped the final part, planning to jump inside. Big bang. Nose first on the glass. Rebounded back 2m. And then sitting on the garden tiles all surprised like "wtf happened". xD

it's funny to actually find someone who has also experienced the running through the sliding glass door like when I was a child. Fortunately for me, I stood on a pile of glass with no major cuts. I always tell people that I had "jumped/ran through a glass like batman" to impress people, but I never know if they're actually impressed or just think I was an idiot child.
