What did you think of Buc-ees or have you though from your own experience?
Bucee’s will give you a sliced brisket sandwich if you ask. I prefer sliced vs chopped brisket. The tacos are plump size which makes them worth paying $5.
We actually went last weekend! A little overwhelming is the right word. I was pretty frustrated by the lack of tables! I also noted that of all those tea and soda flavors, only 4 are sugar free (I had diet Buc-ees.)
I will say, though...beaver nuggets are the BOMB!
My husband is MilleniumIndian, we love your channel 😊
I ❤️ Buc-ee's
I've been to Buc-ee's at least 20 times! It helps when you live less than two miles from the place;) I live near Johnstown, BTW. Jerky is awesome, check out the Bohemian Garlic.
They definitely need more sugar free options, NGL. I do like the diet cola.
For an older man, the best part for me is the clean restrooms with a full-time attendant. Yes, the brisket and bakery sections are great too.
Totally agree!
@@JoshRachael What's the length of the Buc-ee's gas station?
@@kennypalermo9071 sorry we didn’t measure it
I agree about the baked items. I love the chocolate chip cookies:)
@@deborahwood7089 Can cookies be sold at Buc-ee's?
I’ve lived my whole life in the US and I feel like a foreigner watching this. 😂 There is a whole swath of America I know nothing about. The beaver nuggets (and candles!), tortilla wrapped sausage … speechless. And I don’t ever want to see a Buc-ee’s swimsuit in the wild, but look forward to seeing you sporting your Buc-ee’s attire in Vegas!
Gemma is adorable, and so patient. ❤️
You guys are the best for doing this one! 😂
Haha thanks so much guys! It’s definitely an experience! ❤️
I was there Last year my son lives in Alabama 15 minutes from the store love the variety of beef jerky
As someone who visits Buc-ee's at least once a week, I can suggest some of my favorites from there. In no particular order... The White Cheddar Beaver Nuggets; My favorite sandwich is the Club Melt. I think you need to revisit the Brisket and Egg taco and next time, add the salsa verde to it! The breakfast croissants are also very tasty. My favorite is the Sausage, egg and cheese. As for the Jerky, I have tried every single flavor they have and my favorite is the Bohemian Garlic. I'd splurge some and get the sample box of fudge. You'll get small pieces (24 to the box) of every single flavor they have! Don't forget they have a kiosk section where you can place a food order to be made fresh from the selection. I'm a BIG fan of the Grilled Cheese (add bacon) meal. I'll close out and say that if you are a little adventurous, get a chopped brisket sandwich and take it home. Toss the bun and add the brisket meat to a can of baked beans! BEST side dish EVER!!!
Wow thank you so much for all the tips! We will need to go back a few times to get all that tried out.
Their fresh made potato chips are good too.
Shoot we didn’t know they had them, now we have to go back 🤣 good thing we are heading to the airport on Thursday
As a Texan I had NO idea they went out of state that’s amazing!
That’s cool
They are supposedly building another one in Orlando. They are growing quick. The one in Sevierville, TN has a 5k sign-on bonus and you wouldn't believe what they pay employees.
They are building one in Wisconsin, north of Madison WI. on I-90-94. Believe it will be open in the next year.
That place is nuts! Gemma wants a bite of your sandwich lol =) Thanks of taking us along on your road trip!
Our pleasure!
Thanks for the Buc-ees tour. Brings back memories when we went on our Major League baseball tour some years back in Texas. We really loved shopping at Buc-ees and filled up our shopping cart with all kinds of goodies to bring home. Thanks again!
Very cool!
That was fun! Enjoy the variety on your channel.
Thank you! ☺️
Stop! Teasing the damn Dog😂😂😂😂
We shared, we promise 🥰
Buc-ees is definitely an experience. I love it.
Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
I live near Chicago and have never heard of Buc-ees. But just two days ago someone at work was telling me about it. Then I watched your presentation. It was interesting-good job!
Very cool! Thanks so much, we had never heard of it until 2 years ago and now we keep hearing about it everywhere
YES!!! I'm from Texas where bucces originally started. The brisket sandwich and breakfast burritos are a must. Now they're expanding outside of Texas so I hope they don't loose their originality.
Great Texas staple 👍
So good! I don't know how this one compares to ones in Texas but this one left us wanting to return
Great video! Thank you very much for sharing! We love to visit Buc-ees!
Thank you!
Very fun. Great exploring.
Thanks Diane
“That tortilla feels gooooodd….”. I love it 😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️ (and your fur baby is adorable!! )
🤣
On a recent birthday trip in March from Phoenix to Austin, San Antonio, and down to Houston, my wife and I visited Buc-ee's 6 times at 5 different locations (that's one location twice) on purpose. My favorite new Buc-ee's merchandise is my 6 foot Buc-ee inflatable with his interchangeable banner stating "Party Time." He has already been a part of multiple celebrations!
That’s awesome
Poor Gemma! She didn't get enough of those tasty treats! I grew up with the Buc-ees folks in Texas! They gave me a one piece bathing suit which is already packed for my upcoming trip to Vegas! Cheers! Gloria
Haha that is awesoem
OMG!! THANK YOU!! I trust you two, so THANK YOU for showcasing this place!! I too have wanted to go there. AMAZING!!
Our pleasure!
Loved this!
Thanks so much!!
I wish there was a Buc-ees near me! As much as I liked seeing you guys traverse that place and try some of their goodies, the real star of this video was Gemma. She's adorable and a really good dog. Glad she enjoyed the road trip with her parents ❤️
haha I told Rachael Gemma is gonna be a star after this one
Yes, she made me laugh looking at all the food. Glad she got a few treats. I’ve never been to a Buccee’s but want to try one…Missouri has its first one! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a madhouse inside. The sandwiches/breakfast tortillas look good!
We visit relatives near Dallas every year and stopped at Buccee’s in Denton last time. Didn’t eat, but bought some shirts and things. Too anxious to get to Winstar Casino further up the road in Oklahoma. After watching your mukbang, we’re going to have to indulge next time. Your dog looks like a sweetheart.
That is awesome! Thanks so much
Just googled my nearest Bu-cee’s it would take 18 hours to get that location! Def on a roadtrip! Awesome vlog Josh & Rachael 🍻
Thanks so much Chris and Tara, from the looks of it it will only be a matter of time before they get closer
Thanks for not rushing thru. I've wanted to see inside and usually people just rush by everything .
No problem 👍
I tend to take a lot of road trips with family living in Texas, and especially as my parents are getting older, the bathrooms are a huge draw. It sounds weird to say, but knowing they are safe and clean and weird people aren't lurking about, makes it so nice to stop at them. I have been to so many Buc-ees now. I love the insanity of their signage, like only 244 miles and you're here. Food is good, great way to stretch your legs for a bit, gas prices are really good. Best way someone described it, is it's a store made by people who let their intrusive thoughts win.
That’s awesome
Fun Video! Gemma is such a sweet & well behaved fur baby!
She spoils us for sure 🥰
Never been to a Buc-ees, but have wondered what it's all about so thanks for the video! I can't believe you asked for people to send you pictures of the Buc-ees bathing suits. You know that's just asking for it. People are going to send you "Beaver on my beaver!" LOL.
That’s what I (Rachael) said 🤣….its gonna be interesting if we get any!
Beaver nuggets, peach muffins, brisket sandwich, a few of my favorite things from Bucee’s in Luling,
TX.
You are not the first to say Peach Muffins, we will need to check them out!
I've said for years they should build a Buc-ees between Primm and Jean along the _California Corridor_ near where the secondary airport is going to be built.
Really, one down on the North end of the strip would be beneficial too and help draw traffic down there.
Housemade tortillas is reason enough to stop in!
Oh my gosh that would make bank! Yes I need more tortillas
I was going to say the same thing between Prime and Jean. If it took over terribles casino that would be great. I do like Eddie world
I would fly back to USA just to go to Buc’ees again (well Vegas too of course), there is so much there I didn’t get to try. The egg and brisket taco/burrito sounds amazing. The salted Caramel fudge was incredible but took me 2 days to eat because it was so rich and strong
The swimsuit is a no for me too but I definitely need to get myself one of the Buc’ees Stanley Cups!
Haha thanks so much Rach, we can now help out picking stuff up it seems 🤣
Great video which has made me realize that you guys must maybe be from Cheyenne or near?!? Just based on your hoodies and when you said it's about halfway for you going to the airport! We haven't been brave enough to head down there, but went on a cruise out of Galveston in March, and our driver stopped at one there for us, crazy!!!! May have to stop there on our way to DIA to head to Vegas the end of May!
Nailed it 🙃
We hope the craziness wears off a bit before our next stop!
Enjoy Vegas!
You both are very brave. Fun video to watch. I’m from New Jersey. If they had one I’d check it out.
You both are great. Keep up with the diverse videos. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
You two do a great job w/ all your videos, cool that you went local this time. Since you're in Colorado are you hockey fans? If so Go Avs, hope they can right the ship for their playoff run :) And great job by the DU Pioneers winning the NCAA hockey frozen 4!
Would love to see you review more off the path stuff along w/ your great Vegas content. keep up the good work and we'll be tuning in every time! BTW, any plans to check out Bazaar Meat at the Sahara? And if by chance I missed that one my bad :)
Oh, and love your dog in the back seat, ours does the same thing and the timing was perfect when to try to sneak in a treat from you!
Thanks so much! We actually aren't big hockey people, but do cheer on Denver Teams like the Broncos and Rockies - both tough past few seasons but oh well.
We did do Bazaar Meat a while back - I will post a link, but we do hope to return sooner than later - loved it.
ua-cam.com/video/cAoJQiVL1C4/v-deo.htmlsi=MLXdL8PsYMthe4CY
More non-Las Vegas stuff coming, have San Diego in the queue, editing Washington DC and heading to Nashville this weekend for work. We had done some Denver videos in the beginning and they performed pretty poorly so we haven't for a while, but might have to give it a try again.
YOU TO CRACK ME UP!!!!!!! KIDS IN A CANDY STORE.
Haha thank you, great description
Your poor pup needs a bite🥰my lab would have been drooling lol❤️❤️ oh good you shared🥰👍👍😂
Gemma definitely got some treats 😂
That is definitely an experience. My teeth hurt just from watching you shop and eat the sweets, but I would definitely visit!
Yes after this we needed to 1) brush our teeth 2) nap 3) walk outside 4) eat a salad 🤣
Buc-ee's is on my bucket list of things to see and do. There is one planned in a neighboring State, 3-4 hour drive from me. So there will be a road trip one day.
Haha that’s awesome
You won't regret doing a road trip to Bucees this place is amazing and awesome
Bad ass! Wish we had Buc-ees here in Oregon.
Haha I’m sure it will get there eventually
Went to Buc-ees two days ago while driving from Jacksonville back to Tampa. Monday night at 9pm wasn't packed which was nice. I got 2 bottled drinks, a sliced brisket sandwich, a key lime pie in a cup and a 20 oz. Buc-ees tumbler all for $30. Not bad, and willing to support a company that pays their employees a decent wage. I like Buc-ees for the shear ridiculousness of it. Try the Texas Tea bottled iced teas, they are excellent and cheap.
Agreed! Thanks for sharing!
We need one here in Michigan! I would road trip!
Hey guys ! I definitely could not envision Rachael wearing a Buc-ee swimsuit at one of the swanky pools in Vegas lol . The place looks cool though. Great food …cheap gas ⛽️…clean restrooms …I’m sold 😎😎😎
Love it!!
Good call on skipping the sausage on a stick money shots…😂😂. I was getting worried for y’all…. Great look at Buc-ees, and I’m not jealous at all..😢🥃🥃
🤣
Hi Josh and Rachael! This is a great video. I'm weird, I've always loved convenience stores! Hugs to Gemma from my doggies, Simon, Leo and Flower. 🤗😋
Aw - hugs back! We tend to be like little kids in a convenient store and love going too!
Thanks for watching!
World's greatest store. It's headquarters is in lake Jackson, Texas. That's not far from clute. I used to live 20 miles from it. Everyone in South Texas loves buc ees
That’s awesome
The Buc-ee's I've visited were ALWAYS super busy.
We went at 5am the other day that was moderately busy 🤣
Yes! Sausage on a stick! That is Mike’s favorite snack at Buc-Ee’s.
Haha it seems like the weirdest thing to throw together
Great sizes for sandwiches, the egg and Brisket sounds great..the chicken sandwich looked delicious who did the dog like the food.
Thanks Brian, the dog loved every bit she got 🤣
Nice video, great info. I so want to go to Buccees. The food looked so good. I felt sorry for the dog lol he wanted a bite lol. Thanks and take care.
Thanks for watching! Gemma definitely got taken care of off camera 🤣
I make the chicken sauce. It has a mayonnaise base with some hot sauce, honey, two types of bbq sauce, tomato based, and mustard based.
Oh nice!
Very interesting, the dog did some great video bombing☺️😎👍
haha she is a star
We've never been to Buc-ees, but it's on our list! This video cracked us up. Love the fact you could make an entertaining vlog in a convenience store. 😆
We hadn’t either but sure had fun and will likely stop again in the future!!
I'm going to Texas in October and I can't wait I'm so excited
That’s awesome you should let us know what you like or don’t like
U will enjoy...and spent a lot your first time! It can be overwhelming so take your time...I live in Texas and every time I go its an adventure!
Beaver Nuggets reminded me of Kelloggs Corn Pops!
Good call, haven’t had those forever
Apple pie, egg roll, peach tea
They have an egg roll?!?
This was so fun! We live in Oregon, so no Bucees. 😢
But we plan to visit when we go to Texas for a BBQ crawl.
Awesome definitely worth checking out
The dog seems to like the smell of the food! Lol!😊
She liked the taste of it too 🤣
This was fun, guys! The nearest Buc-ee's is 5 hours away from me. Always wanted to try some of their snacks. The pup was good for the video 🐕 😊
Gemma loves going with us so it seemed like a must do bringing her with us!
@@JoshRachael She's gorgeous 😍
Big Red soda pop is the best! Like strawberry cotton candy!
We need to try it next time for sure
We live in Covington Georgia I lost my cousin a year ago in March we went to the Bucees in Calhoun Georgia on or way to Tennessee it was amazing of course the bathroom was just great my husband got brisket Sandwich and I got some praline pecan nuts ❤😊
Wow thank you for sharing, so sorry for your loss
Thank you by the way Gemma is very cute ❤️
Just subscribed ! Steven from Boston Ma !😊
Awesome thanks so much Steve ! Welcome!
We went there on Easter, it was crazy busy. When you went were customers still parking in the gas stalls to shop ?
I think that was the same day we went! Crazy so hard to find any parking
That sausage on a stick was funny!❤👍🇺🇸
🤣
They are going to build one in Arkansas about 30 minutes away from us. I’ve never been but looking forward to it.
That’s awesome. We are talking about going for breakfast tomorrow there
I'm glad you went there and tried many Foods. I can't believe that you spent over $100 for 2 trips. You are delightful to watch.
It’s so easy to do 😂
Coconut pudding is my favorite!
Ooh!! We will have to try it!
Wow, how do you choose? What a massive place, Crazy! Love the humour of the sausage,,,,,,,, on a stick! Lol 🍻
A little nod to Jeff Dunham 😂!
Thanks for watching!
Hi guys!
I have never heard of this place! I saw on the news that it opened! I’m in Aurora and will have to make the drive up there! Now I know what to expect!
It’s an experience for sure!!
I love Buc-ees my favorite when we visit was the chop brisket!!; If we lived near one I would be there almost every day!!!
Awesome 🙌🏼
Also, fresh made tortillas? Geesh!!
They were definitely one of the key favorites for us
You need to try their sandwiches especially the brisket! Omg you are going to love it ❤
Thanks Maddy
Buccee's is the best! I love the chopped brisket, beaver chips, protein boxes, and the peach muffins! BTW, kolache = co-LAW-chi
Thanks for the info!
Ya. This looks like I-80 Worlds Largest Truck stop near Davenport, Iowa. Their main building is 130,000 square feet sitting on 220 acres. I guess buc ees has really good bbq which sets it apart.
That’s a large truck stop!!
You can get the sliced brisket sandwich without sauce. That's what I get for Mom since she doesn't eat bbq sauce of any kind.
I compare Beaver Nuggets to Corn Pops cereal.
Good call 🙌🏼
Good watch! Some things you did miss out on.
- Sausage and cheese kolache (comes with or without jalapeno)
- Candied Pecans (SO GOOD)
- Don't sleep on the sliced turkey sandwich! It is smoked and so moist!
- The sliced brisket sandwich is also superior to the chopped (It is not drowning in sauce)
Good to know about the sliced vs chopped brisket. We really wanted to get the Kolache both sweet and savory, it was weird watching them pulling food and refusing to sell them. Biggest disappointment
That is very strange. I have never been to one outside of Texas. The kolaches at the ones I have been to are 24 hours. With BBQ I like the meat to do that talking, for sure. I subscribed for you guys, be well.
I’m heading down that way tomorrow and was already planning on stopping. But now I must get a taco! I’m coming down from Wyoming
The Rhino breakfast taco was delicious!
I've visited stores in Austin twice over the years and last time I was really surprised they didn't have any benches for older folks to sit on so it's not a good thing that there isn't a place to sit down in there! That's weird especially with the focus on food.. And wow 95% of the food is something I shouldn't buy=tons of processing, sugar, salt and carbs. I would prob feel pretty yucky after a eating trip like you two just made but thanks for taking us along! Best from west Denver!
Thanks a bunch Trish. Yea this definitely was not a healthy meal option, not something we will likely do anytime soon again, but was fun while it lasted - and then it wasn't :)
Buccees has a good turkey sandwich and homemade potato chips are great. I live by 2 Buccees, they are fun to go to
Will have to remember the turkey sandwich! Thanks for sharing!
Would definitely take some of those nugees!
Delicious 🤤
You should have tried the Turkey sandwich. And they have a sausage on a stick wrapped in a tortilla. Both are yummy.
We did get the sausage on a stick….its in the second pass through.
Now which Buc-eye did y’all go to? You did say Johnstown, Colorado? We’re going there this year. Hoping for June and or July. I’ve always heard there bathroom were the cleanest.
Yep this was Johnstown Colorado
Been to all the Buc-ees in Texas and the 2 in Florida and the 4 in Alabama, and one in Geaorgia, and one in Tennessee.
Wow that’s awesome
I agree with you on the brisket sandwich too much bread and sauce. Not sure why you would cut the bark off before chopping it.
Right?!?
Lol I was just about to comment about Buc-ees Sevierville, TN. I wish they had different bbq sauces I'm not a fan of sweet sauces I prefer a mustard or vinegar base. That's my only complaint lol. The bakery has really good sweets!
Haha we knew someone would bring that up. Totally agree we aren’t overly sweet bbq sauce fans either
Building one 20 minutes from our home, I hope it is as hood as Sevierville, Tn.
They seem to be pretty consistent!
The one that they will building here in Ocala Fla is supposed to be 80,000sq feet
That’s insane
People in Texas love Buc-ees and will wear anything with the beaver on it, including the swimsuits. You need to try the candied pecans.
🤣 next time 🦫
Well I live in Texas where we have many Buc-ee’s. And I honestly feel like they are overhyped. But I also must admit that my car almost always veers off the road to visit one on a road trip, as hard as I try not too, haha. They are hard to pass by, even if you just need to use the restroom.
We couldn’t agree more 😂
What were the prices on the sandwiches and food per item. Like how much was the brisket?
I’m sorry we don’t rember exact pricing but they seemed to be $5-8 each
My very favorite thing at Buc-ee’s is the Texas Cheesesteak Burrito. My gosh that’s good.
Funny thing…we just tried that last night on our way home!
It was pretty tasty!
Feed poor Gema! She's an angel on Earth.
It’s funny we didn’t want to give her too much on camera thinking people would berate us. Gemma is well taken care of and gets a good deal of snacks 🤣
@@JoshRachael We had a Gemma and we miss her so much. I'm sure she is very well taken care of. Cheers!
I can’t wait to go to Buc-ees
You should definitely check it out
Can't believe you haven't been to one before. Bucees is my secret obsession 🥰. My friends know I'm going to be in any Bucees for a while. Plenty of goodies to spend my money on.
Haha that’s awesome!
Beaver nuggets sound like something you find on a hermaphrodite. That place is crazy huge and food looked good as far as convenient store food goes! Good video guys! ❤
I’m not sure if either of those are the correct terms anymore. But they did taste good 🤣
Y'all have to try the deboned chicken stuffed with jambalaya in the frozen section. That will make you want to go back
I was today years old when I learned Bucees has a frozen section. And we have been back 3 times 🤣
I am so waiting for Buccees, to come in my area WaWa is taking over. Daytona one day soon.😊
Never been to a Wawa are they comparable
@@JoshRachael Wawa is smaller version, of Buccees.
There are two in Florida one in Daytona 1 and St Augustine
Nice!
Nice and fair report. There are many better values in other roadside stops but definitely not the merchandising. Better bbq as well. My guess is that you live in Cheyenne. While different in concept Little America is not your typical truck stop. How about a food tour of Cheyenne Frontier Days? (if you haven’t done a video already). Gas prices-lived in Colorado over 40 years. In my travels I would always fill up in Cheyenne because it was cheaper than anywhere In Colorado.
Good call! Yea we need to do a good tour at CFD one of these days. We are season pass holders for the concerts and PBR so we tend to be at the park at least 7 of the 10 days 🤣
@@JoshRachaelwe won “behind the chutes” seats at a charity auction on year. It was fun ducking the clods of mud kicked up by the critters
@@PCBill0622 Now that would be awesome - we haven't been lucky enough to do that before, but would love to
Dog is like where is my hot dog
She likes to share 😏
while I haven't been to a Buc-ees, I did order the Beaver Nuggets, and after eating them for a while, they reminded me of a very crunchy waffle with syrup and a hint of butter, there is also a pun to be made about a beaver on bikini bottoms where the beaver meets the beaver
Haha that there is
Actually the largest in the world is the one in Sevierville, TN. Anywho, great video. I love Buc-ees!!!!
www.denverpost.com/2024/03/18/colorado-johnstown-first-bucees-opens/
here it states it’s tied for largest, guessing Sevierville is listed because it was built first
