    When Al Davis relocate his Raiders back to Oakland back in 1995 I really thought they will stay in Oakland forever but I hope that the City of Oakland get a NFL expansion team in the future.

      The NFL will never come back to Oakland. The city isnt financially stable to support an NFL Team. The bay area dont need 2 teams. Unless Oakland is willing to build a 2-3 Billion dollar + stadium (which they wont), The NFL will return to Oakland. Also, the NFL most likely wont expand past 32 teams.

      @@atlnl3964I don't know what you were talking about but the oakland alameda county coliseum opened in 1966, and the raiders played there from 1966-1981, and every game was sold out, and then al Davis wanted upgrades done at the coliseum and the city wouldn't do it so he moved the team to los angeles after the 1981 season. During the 13 seasons they played at the LA memorial coliseum attendance was mostly bad with exception of a few seasons. Capacity was nearly 100 thousand. He asked for upgrades at that stadium also, and the city of los angeles said no. He wanted to build at Hollywood Park. The answer was no. He wanted to move to irvingdale. The answer was no. So after a 1989 preseason game played at the oakland alameda county coliseum drew a great response from fans and city and league officials it was decided that upgrades would be done to the oakland coliseum and the team would return in time for the 1995 season. But Davis made things complicated when he decided to sell the majority of the seats as "PSL'S" Personal seat licenses. And they were very expensive so after "mount Davis" was completed the stadium could sellout the first nearly 10 seasons back in oakland. Plus the renovation gave the stadium a strange and ugly look, therefore creating conflicts with the A's, because you could no longer see the beautiful oakland hills in the background. Before the renovations the coliseum was considered one of the best places to watch a baseball game. In the meantime the raiders in order to fill the stadium, done away with the personal seat licenses and reduced attendance Capacity and the stadium started selling out again. But the bay area could absolutely support two teams. I have a question for you. Why do you think the san francisco 49ers play almost 50 miles from San Francisco in Santa Clara? Why wouldn't san francisco build them a stadium to replace candle stick park?

    Welcome home, Los Angeles Rams!!! Thank you, Stan Kroenke. We'll see what future the Raiders have in Oakland or if the Chargers decide to stay in San Diego if that means Mark Davis moves to Inglewood,CA to be Stan Kroenke's tenant. Mark Davis told Tim Kawakami of the Mercury News there was a deal in place for the 2016 season for the Raiders to play at the StubHub Center in Carson,CA has they been approved to move to L.A. with the Chargers. We'll see what happens, but I'll be at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum rooting on our Los Angeles Rams.

      I agree with you Mediterranean Warrior, the Lambs couldn't even pack the L.A. Memorial Coliseum even when they had a winning season last season. I see more football fans wearing Raiders gear in L.A. than the Lambs gear. It was a terrible business move by the NFL in blocking the Raiders from returning to L.A. The Rams and the Chargers could have stayed in their respective cities and all the NFL had to do was to allow the MIGHTY RAIDERS to return to L.A. in order to revive football in L.A. The Chargers are not able to pack the Stub Hub Center in Carson with 17,000 seat capacity. How are the Chargers going to pack the future Rams' stadium in Inglewood with capacity for 80,000 fans? I see the Chargers returning to San Diego and Stan Kroenke and the NFL regretting from blocking the Raiders from returning to L.A.

    The Raiders Should Not Left Oakland In The First Place.

    • @SingleTax
      @SingleTax 6 років тому

      My thoughts exactly. Just like when Art Modell moved the Browns to Baltimore, Davis should have been legally compelled to leave the Raiders' history, records, and intellectual property in Oakland, and to allow for his L.A. team to be officially classified as an "expansion" team. That means new jerseys and a new name -- e.g. the Los Angeles Pirates.

    • @TalkMyShiit

      There's a lot to be said for tradition; this is one thing that Americans don't respect. You'd NEVER get a team like Liverpool moving to London for instance. Mark Davis made a 'business decision' by relocating to Vegas, but will end up shooting himself in the foot; he should have worked harder with the city of Oakland to actually extend the Colosseum and it's facilities.

    I went to the Raiders/Eagles that year when the stadium had the field going from home plate to center field, as opposed to 3rd base to 1st base, as it is now. It was awesome. It was like bull ring out there. Just a big circle with a football field in the middle. Eagles were up 17-0, then I believe Beikert knocked the ball out of Ricky Waters' hands. Raiders took over, scored on that drive, eventually came back and blew them out. What a day.

    I'm glad the Raiders are back in the bay where they belong, but I have to be honest, I think the move back was part of Al's late life delirium. He didn't know what he was doing. That's why it was one huge financial mess. And what is up with Mt. Davis? Just ruined that cool little stadium. I think the move back to Oakland was a small glimpse of what we saw in the Lane Kiffin press conference a decade later. Anyhow, it looks like Coliseum City is a possibility. And, with all due respect to Al, Mark is a much younger man and knows what he's doing. I like what McKenzie is doing. The Raiders are doing what the A's are doing, making the best of a small market situation. Cleaning the books and signing the best players that you can. I hope them and the A's stay. Northern California needs it.

Trust me there are things going on behind the scenes that u guys dont know. If the Raiders move back to LA they are going to play in the rose bowl or coliseum until that new stadium gets built. The decision by the San Diego Chargers to stay in San Diego is a clear signal that the owner of the Rams now that he is bringing the Rams back to L.A. that he rather have the Oakland Raiders as a second team in his future new stadium in Inglewood, CA because the Raiders' fan base in Los Angeles is larger than the Chargers' fan base in Los Angeles. The Raiders are more profitable for the owner of the Rams as the second team in his future stadium. The San Diego Chargers know that staying in San Diego is better for them because who the hell is going to pay to see the San Diego Chargers in Los Angeles. Most fans in Los Angeles identified with the Raiders and the Rams and that is the perfect combination for the future stadium in Inglewood. The one year lease that Mark Davis signed with the Oakland Coliseum tells me a lot about his intentions of moving back to L.A. where the grass is greener. He is just waiting for the Chargers to publicly admit that they are staying in San Diego and that will be the green light for Mark Davis to pack and move in the dark just like the former Baltimore Colts did when they left Baltimore and moved to Indianapolis. Oakland fans enjoy the last year of the Raiders in Oakland because your city doesn't have the money for a new stadium.

      It is all about business, If you were the Rams' owner would you object a team that can make you a lot of money? As a businessman wouldn't you carry a product in your store that can make you a lot of money because that product is not made on your town and it can surpass the sales of the products made in your town? It is all about business not feelings or fanaticism. If the Rams' owner doesn't want the Raiders in L.A. he would have opened the door for the San Diego Chargers to prevent the Raider from even dreaming about coming to L.A. If there is nothing going on in Oakland by the end of 2017 regarding the building of a new stadium then it is prophecy that Mark Davis will call the Rams' owner to let him know that the Raiders are heading south once the Rams' mega stadium is completed for the 2019 season, I guarantee it and if that prophecy come to pass you will call me a true prophet. Nothing personal, it is just business and business runs the world.

      They need to come back if they want a stadium. Oakland can barely fill the coliseum even after they closed mt. Davis. The LA coliseum always had 60k plus there every week. The coliseum looked empty at times only because it holds over 90k people.
