I was watching this game and I was so pumped up when Jose and Rickey came out the dugout. It was on !!!! TOWN BIZZ !
I would love to see mahomes play in this decade and tom brady.
Notice how quiet it got when he started playing...then singing
Wow, Howie Long looks like the forth member of Run DMC😂😂😂😂.
We need to get back to this in sports, especially football, instead of the soft crap going on.
Odd time for a post of a game from 44 years ago. It was games like this that helped the NFL climb to be must-see-TV. Everyone thought it was the funniest thing ever, especially when they found Henderson was on a work-release program - everyone but the Dolphins and their fans that is.
As incredible a year as Lester Hayes had, and make no mistake it was incredible. The singular most important interception, actually, the singular most important play of the 1980 Oakland Raiders Super Bowl Championship season was… The interception Mike Davis got in the closing seconds of the AFC divisional playoffs against the Cleveland Browns Mike Sipe, as he was leading the Cardiac Kids to yet another incredible comeback before Mike Davis shut it down.
Yep so many different players made big plays all year and Davis's was the biggest.
Exactly I mean, obviously there’s Jim Plunkett but Ted Hendrix had a big year, also the contribution from Kenny King was invaluable and who could ever forget the Super Bowl that Rob Martin had.
Roth IS VH !!!
Lester hayes was phenomenal that year.
All these comments that I'm reading I totally 100percent agree with I was 13 watching this game remember like yesterday yes a top 10 raider game
Fun fact that carl weathers aka appolo creed used to play for the raiders .
Unofficial Activities Director 😂
Do you have more?
I don't. The 3 major networks were dominating the coverage with occasional updates from local stations.
This loss for the Chiefs was the first of five straight, including one to the previously winless Chargers.
I WAS THERE..INCREDIBLE..
Mahomes crying back to Andy . RN4L💪👊
Will never forget Stabler to Casper ... THE GHOST TO THE POST !
I miss 70-80's baseball, a lot. These guys were insanely tough, real toughness not juiced or anything else just men who were damn good at what they did.
When there were sports in Oakland
It's a cold night so i'm staying in tonight watching the best umpire/manager fights and other great baseball moments, I remember all these players as i started watching MLB in 1986
I was a kid in the 70's and I remember watching Kenny very well. I am a Steelers fan and he was the enemy. A very talented enemy. I recently watched a video here on YT about Kenny and it was basically a short biography. As his real fans probably know, I am a fan BTW, he was a superior athlete in HS and dominated Football, Basketball AND Baseball. He was a natural athlete, kind of like really good guitar players, it's in his blood. These guys from the 1970s from the NFL were wide open. That picture of Kenny shooting pool with a butt in his mouth is - too me - the entire vibe of the NFL in the 70's.
RAIDERS 🏴☠️🏴☠️.. alzado #77 long#75..☠️💀👍... TJ🇲🇽💪👍
Stablers book snake one of the best I ever read.
When I get to Heaven, I’m gonna go look for Al just to ask him…….what the hell did you see in Marc Wilson (and Jay Schroeder)??? It’s one thing he made the mistake in drafting him, but all those years where he didn’t give up trying to make it work when he clearly was not the answer. For every decent pass, there was five bad ones. Throwing into triple coverage at times. Of course everyone was modernizing their offenses too and Al was still a believer in the seven step drop and QB’s holding the ball forever too for the deep one. I look at most games from this time and it was amazing the Raiders won as much as they did. There was games a QB was good for 5-6 turnovers a game between fumbles and interceptions. It was a shame because the Raiders were loaded with talent in a lot of places. But between Wilson and his obsession with track stars at WR instead of actual wide receivers, it really cost the Raiders another Super Bowl or 2 or 3. It might’ve worked in the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s, but Bill Walsh changed everything with offense with the QB getting the ball out quick and everyone followed suit. Shanahan tried to do it, but Al got rid of him quick and didn’t give him a QB or a chance. Wasn’t til Gruden came along until things started to change, but Al rather lose his way rather than win someone else’s way and got rid of him. For how brilliant Al was in those first 20 years, he was the polar opposite the last 20 or so. He was one stubborn man.
Stuff like this is why I've always hated Denver. I'm a Steeler fan. I was even rooting for the Browns against the Broncos. The referees should have blown a whistle immediately.
Blame Jack Tatum . Instead of stopping the pass he tried to behead that stealer!! It's nice to see Tatum upset 😡.also coach John never got the picture! It was a clear cut play. End of story
Dolphins beat them in the playoffs
❤❤❤❤
42 years since their lsst Super Bowl win for the lowly Raiders
yep mid 80's was the end of AL Davis's prime as GM/owner of the team. A few good teams and players after that but not many big wins for the franchise.
And Hang on to Hats 🎩.Vintage Holy Toledo !!! Miss them great years, my childhood, my team, my memories 😊.
yep. magical times
Bringing misfits into the Raiders was a game changer=AL Davis the warden could pick em.
7:21 greatest moment in 60 minutes history 😂
BobSquatch?
Exactly!!
RIP 🐐
Many forget the week before that comeback, San Francisco upset 8-4 New England
What a freaking shmuck, i bet he hip hip-hoorayed when the towers fell
These guys are lying , patty was 100 percent real , all the evidence is there to see
The 90 Championship Game still haunts me to this day. I was a haunted 12 year old then. A haunted 46 year old today. Go 49ers!
Amazing memories at 24yrs of age....
Millen is an arrogant blockhead
1:15 well damn, there goes that.
should be in all thee hall of fames, especially in the NFL and NBA.
Greg Long sends all the other investigators home on a stretcher.
I don’t know about that…It’s 50/50 Too me…..Sounds like a witch hunt as far as Roger is involved…Bit I don’t trust a guy in a cowboy hat…So it’s fake!!…lol
50 years of analysis tells you patty was only 6 feet 2 inches. Bob Heironimus actually walks the same as Patty and passes polygraph tests.
Look up the Charlie Gemora suit from the 1940s. It looks like muscles, but it's actually water bags they used. It's so easy to duplicate the patty costume. The suit that Bob Heironimus wore in Patterson footage was padded. Look at butt cleft area. it's padding. Look at leg of patty can see Bob's Wallet. They head is a modified helmet as well.
Would that Rickey were a Dodger! AND: one of my favorite songs from the 70s! Smokin' guitar. SLAVE. Gracias!
It was like being in a dream. Those days are long gone. Today's players are like mercenaries and they don't give squat....Even the place in Vegas sucks big time. It's like being on the road always.
This was the way the game should be. No shucking and jive on each play. Just play the game.
the ball hit the porch and bounces back toward the road. they way underestimated the distance. probably close to 600 ft.
