Hey your channel popped up on my feed, I'm a 37 year old in my 4th year as an apprentice cnc machinist. I want you to know this testimony really touched me. I go to college and work full time, I don't have a car and walk an hour to work and back each day and pay for a ride with the little money I have to get to school. I hope everything works out. But thx alot this really inspired me alot!

I have moved jobs twice in these years and can basically name my price. 3 the price is either too small or our economy is so bad that im not saving anything instead staying in the black.

Spent 4 years in prison after a failed home invasion. I was a degenerate alcoholic, lost wandering aimlessly in life. After leaving prison I was in a halfway house and picked up the newspaper and on the front page was a small article about federal funding for a CNC course offered to anyone but mostly parolees. I made it my mission to get into that class and I did with state grants. I graduated top of my class and was hand picked by a shop to start training as a CNC production machinist. That was 5 years ago starting at 11$/hr, I am now close to 20 working as 2nd shift supervisor and teaching first shift at the same school I graduated from 5 years ago. I just hope you know how much this channel and your testimony has been a HUGE inspiration for me over the last 5 years.

I have been a machine operator and a welder/ fabricator for around 10 years and always thought welding was my passion until about 3 years ago when i started on a komo cnc router. I had to teach myself about G and M codes and how to write programs and sence then cnc has been my passion! I got injured a year ago and am still regaining the use of my right arm and hand witch has put me out of work. This past year has felt like my life is over because of it. Watching your vlog's and hearing you story has given me hope! You sir are an inspiration!!!! Thank you and God bless.

Hello there. I'm new to working in the CNC production environment. It's such a wonderful industry. I'm a retired watchmaker, but finances forced me to return to the workforce. I'm learning that the industry is full of really great people, and if you're a motivated, self-determined person, you can really do well in this industry. Any advice for a middle-aged, autistic, and fairly high iq worker? I'm used to running desktop scale machines with 4" plunge depths, and now I'm running machines with automatic tool changes, the size of a car! It's wonderful but I'm scared!

They used to have those opportunities. For generations prisons would offer all sorts of training and job opportunities. But they started taking almost all of it away because the trades use tools and people would use those tools as weapons or use the shop to make weapons. It's unfortunate because a lot of guys wanted the training and more than that they wanted to pass the time being useful. They still have jobs and some even pay but real training for serious trades has unfortunately been removed for the most part. When I was in the joint I was one of the head cooks and made 22 cents an hour. One of the best jobs in the prison.

@@Mr.Potato420 ya exactly. Now back then they had all sorts of opportunities. The conditions were much harsher but so was all life back then I suppose. Wood shop, metal shop, machine worker (license plate makers) along with outside work crews such as woodland fire fighter and forestry services were very common in state pens around the country. They still have fire camp to this day. I got to do some time at a fire camp and during the winter/off season we would do jobs the rangers needed done such as cutting down dead and dying trees, pulling weeds, and such. Then during the fire season/summer we would fight woodland fires. That's the best example of a trade you can still learn in the joint. Especially since the "hotshots" are a federal crew you can get hired with them when you get out (since federal government allows the hiring of felons). I did it for a small time but then went back to the joint :/

I am lost on how can any human give this a thumbs down... We are here for a purpose many of us will not be RICH, but we can make a difference in somebodies life... WE all know what do , we have a selfish gene that just makes things messy in our lives. As humans we have to do better.. We seek for things that is not purposely built for you. I've been watching occasionally without subbing as there's hundreds one could sub to. Tonight I watched your octopus sculpture and heard you mention faith, then this video was next in my feed. Earned my sub through that testimony, awesome.

This is so awesome… I spent about 10 years in an active drug addiction, in and out of jails and institutions. I lost everything. I finally came to Mobile Alabama, and went to rehab. While I was in the rehab, I saw a job add on Craigslist at a local Machine Shop that needed help. I interviewed and got the job as an operator. They trained me, got me up to speed. It’s been 2 1/2 years now…. I am doing my own set ups. Some of my own programming. Editing G Code, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.. I’ve learned so much, and I am so IN LOVE with the trade. I have had over $10 dollars worth of raises in 2 years. I am so thankful, and so blessed. Thank you for your story Titan. I hope someone sees my comment…. And sees my story. CNC machining is so amazing.

Titan, I came across your channel a few days ago while searching for a way to help teach some of my coworkers how to write programs and run our new Haas mill. Within the first few minutes of that video, without knowing any of your background, I saw a man who had the kind of experience to give people inspiration and the motivation to be successful. Hearing your journey has been the most powerful 45 minute experience of my life and has given me the motivation and drive I needed to grind through the next few semesters of my mechanical engineering degree and pursue my dream of owning a cnc machine shop. Thanks for making this channel, and keep those spindle loads at 200% man!

As a Manual and CNC Machinist going on 2 years, I have to say that your channel has inspired me. You've inspired me to start a small business. I've always wanted to gunsmith, even as a youngling, and at 21 years old I have an opportunity to start buying tools and equipment on the side to start. Your business tips will certainly come in handy, Titan. Rock on man.
