Yeah, an a MBTI geek I can say the CIA guy didn’t explain the MBTI correctly. F and P are not mutually exclusive. F- feeler and P perceiver…. Is a personality combination. He meant to say P and “J” Judger - the difference between the hippy dippy type go-with-the-flow types and the time built into planning chunks like the J types.

Also, he got S vs N wrong. Intuition is pattern-recognition and shortcutting to knowledge. It processes a huge amount of data quickly, but is prone to more mistakes than sensing types. Efficiency is N, Efficacy is S.

Learned Myers-Briggs in business school. He has a good idea about rapidly assessing others with it using innocuous sounding questions rather than just using it to asses yourself or everyone taking tests to form the right team composition and then never looking at it again. There are a couple bloopers: it’s Feeling/Thinking (not perceiving) and there are more Sensing people than Intuitive people (not the other way around)… also what happened to discussion of Judging/Perceiving???

I enjoyed Andrew's commentary on Myers Briggs but he was a little off on several points (e.g. Perception is not the opposite of Feeling). Myers Briggs is a very useful, popular, surface level, shorthand born of a much more sophisticated study of personality and cognitive functions, "Psychological Types" (1921) by Carl Gustav Jung - for those interested in this subject it's worth going back to that text, which shows how the cognitive functions that comprise personality types are rooted in our deep unconscious. The four letter MBTI classification (e.g. ENTJ or ISFP) is useful but it's far more useful to know the dominant cognitive functions associated with a given MBTI type and their interplay as per Jung's work.

Once you type enough people by interaction you can type some people by appearance alone. All MBTI types have physical appearance subtypes that can be used as a shortcut. He said most people are intuitive. About 75 percent of all people are actually have a preference for sensory. In his trade most people are intuitive. Most people think they are more intuitive. This is because sensors, in general have less self awareness. That is to say they have less awareness of how they fit into a system even if they understand there own qualities in a vacuum

Personality type profiling. Ask MBTI first aid questions about what, where, when, why, who makes their personality types when all their time, energy, money is drained from them, what do you default to,,, 1-Where do they get their energy, alone or in a group,,, 2-do you use five senses to collect data or intuition to collect data. How do they interpret data,,, 3-thinking??? -v- feelers make gut based decisions,,, 4-judgers??? -v- perceivers making intuition based decisions…

I used it back in the 90 to get girls... As deep introvert (INTP-A) it changed my life.
I and E is easy to catch, actually you can even tell from a distance since non verbal communication is different for E and I. E live in the present, I is in the future or the past.
S and N don't talk about the same 'thing' at all. The usage and meaning of word is also a bit different. Many communication issues occur because of this. S women or N women are différent in the way they perceive themselves. S find N boring and N find S a bit shallow/superficial. Here too, the timeline is differrent, S is present based, N future/past oriented. S see what is it, N see what it could be.
F & T are quiet easy to pick up too after a couple of questions, yet, most women are F and you don't want a T woman ;) it's liike a terminator, but in dress.
P & J are a bit more tricky but not tht much. You don't want a P woman, especially if you want kids.
I did not started with the full MBTI but with the book of CG Jung ont the 4 poles of personnality.
Somehow, it helped me to know my type, it was even a bit like a release since I understood beter why I had so many difficulties to connect with others.
I became a player within a couple of weeks of tests and calibrations. I was a 'sniper' kind, I could quickly enter any bar, chose from a distance the girl I wanted, get out my own confort zone for like 20-30 min in the place and leave with her. Even more actualy since I also played with 'darwinian preselection' witch allow you to get the girls you want compete for you and come to you, check out this powerful concept that you can 'activate' alone. I felt alive this period of my life.

He is wrong, because children learn religion, they learn to believe under pressure and under the threat of violence from their parents, that has absolutely nothing to do with "intuition" but rather with adaptation, because an organism, no matter which one, will always adapt under all circumstances to a higher physical threat of violence in order to survive, because the reflex to survive is what made "intuition" possible in the first place. Children, or rather the growing brain, adapt to the circumstances. These are biological laws and "intuition is, so to speak, a derivative of an emotional memory of the threat the child was exposed to and this memory tells the brain "Be careful, otherwise believe...". These are subliminal, uncontrollable emotions precisely because they arise reflexively and because that is how it is, but the controller, i.e. the religion, the priest, the imam, etc., constantly has to fear that his lie will be seen through, a church, a mosque or synagogue has to be built that constantly rings with bells or the muzeez has to constantly call so that the hypnotized person cannot wake up. No, my dear spy, intuition is a lie...

Also, plenty of types are ambiverts. Almost all Ne-doms, for instance.
    And I suspect, Ni-doms.
It’s cerebral/idea-energy as opposed to physical or interpersonal. We get our energy from any source of ideas. Be it from a book or from a person or even just a surrounding.
Each one can be dull or exhilarating depending on how it feeds our imagination.
I will feel exhausted in any surrounding that doesn’t stimulate my Ne. Life isn’t just about people for all of us. Je-types (xxxJ) are more focused on the tribe than perceivers. He must be a J to project his worldview on the world.

You just solved my fluctuations between highly introverted states and highly extroverted states. The fundamental drive is towards information, interesting ideas, novelty, useful data...and more often than not people are exhaustingly dull, but not always, sometimes they are exhilaratingly interesting. But, controlled environments are almost always interesting.

This is probably very good intel on personalities. I have my own way of categorizing the people I meet and I might be too arrogant to let anybody else's science touch my science in my mind lest they try to rob me of the credit. Myers-Briggs seems to me like what you get when kids who played Dungeons and Dragons (roll for initiative!) grow up to be mind doctors. If the CIA isn't chaotic good then we're all fucked.

Wrong again about Christianity, religions like Islam and Buddhism rely on faith alone, but Judeo-Christianity is different in that we actually rely on the "revelation of Scripture".
A lot of people make the mistake of thinking we believe the Bible "just because" but the faith required for revelation is only a "mustard seed of faith" in other words, you only need a little faith to look into it (most people don't have a little faith to spare though because all their faith is in the world).
If you look into the Bible, you find that all the evidence is available in plain sight. The Bible doesn't rely on faith, you just need to have "a little faith" in order to look into it seriously. And yes, many Christians "simply believe" just like most people "simply believe" in oxygen but oxygen isn't less real just because most people can't explain it.
The Bible doesn't rely on faith alone, that's why many denominations like Catholicism even say "sola scriptura". It means "Scripture alone" meaning it doesn't rely on your belief or on science of the day or on anyone's faith, ONLY ON THE WORDS OF THE BOOK. Not on faith. On the book. Islam relies on faith, that's why they're the people of the sword. Judeo-Christianity relies on the Bible, that's why we're called the people of the Book.
Even if no one believed in the Bible, it still is the reality. Again, that's not relying on faith (because you don't have to have faith for it to come true, it comes true either way!!!).
I'm always grateful for the opportunity to point out when someone says something untrue about Christianity!
