Yes, as the other reply stated, your float o-rings and float needle should be changed.
Check your float height as well.
Also, make sure your air filter didn’t get wet with fuel.

Excellent info. I checked most of that and it was good. Thank you

You have not addressed the larger issue. Regardless of the petcock simply needing a rebuild, the float assembly o-rings are leaking or you wouldn't have had fuel getting into the cylinder. The stock Buna-N o-rings don't stand up to ethanol fuel and should be replaced with Viton o-rings. Now if you forget to turn the petcock off you will flood the bike quickly and fill your crank and/or airbox again if left on for long. The true benefit of a vacuum petcock is lost on many.

Yup. I had that happen to my tractor. Had just changed the oil and it had been sitting for a week. I had deleted the carburator bowl shut off solenoid (elec). It was starting hard. I checked the oil and it was 2 inches up the dipstick and i swore i pot the mower away full of fuel... added an inline shut off imediately. Never had a problem with the float needle sticking after that either. Like Cyrus in TPBs says Fuel Always Off! ...or something like that. Lol. I do like that bike. 🤙🎩🇺🇸🌄

Great Video My friend!! I had this same thing happen to my lawn tractor. I thought I blew the engine also. After changing the oil, I found the same. Now I'm an advocate of fuel shutoff for all my gasoline engines

Check reliable info on the internet. You are not supposed to start a stored bike and run it for short periods of time during storage. You'll get more info as to why if you do the research. Hope this helps.

had this issue with my dr200. I now have to do a complete oil change including oil filter, retreat my air filter, add a inline fuel shutoff and re build my starter. ofcourse I will do a Carburetor rebuild at a later date. but yeah... shut your fuel tap off guys.

I have the same petcock as I have an after market tank. I found that sealing the vacuum line made the bike run terrible so left it unsealed and runs just fine.

4:51 there is no link. You also had a pop-up text saying it could have been a carburetor float?

So long as you remember to turn the petcock to "OFF" once you turn the engine off or you'll have the same problem I guess.
