- I show you how to fix a black screen issue where the display will not turn on on the Fitbit Sense 1 watch (same for Fitbit Sense 2). Even though the display is black or won't turn on, you still know the watch is ON cause you can feel it vibrate when pressing the side button. Hope this helps.

Wonderful. This saved me the trouble of shipping it back for a warranty replacement. The suggested 10 seconds on their website is not enough. It took me 15 seconds to feel the vibrate and another 10 seconds to see the logo.
Thanks - worked a treat. Didn't have a fully blank screen but the swipe- down screens below the main screen went blank. This seems to have fixed that also.

I dropped my fitbit versa 3 on it's screen's surface. Since then, it vibrates for calls and notifications. All these tutorials on how to get it up and running just make it vibrate but the display is not coming.
Is there some concrete way I can figure out if the screen is broken?
Or some other way to fix this

Omgosh!!! Thank you so much! I couldn't get it to work until I pushed the button down while it was charging. The charger sides don't have much clearance, but I got a flat piece of plastic between the button and it worked !!! Thank you!!!

Wow it works for me! The only one that worked for me, so simple yet I got sidetracked doing it since the Fitbit logo with the word “today” under it appear shortly after I long press on the button (so I didn’t hold it further), then back to black screen. But holding it even further than that seemed like it was doing nothing for a while now my screen is back to normal, yay!

I have fitbit versa light edition I tried everything holding the power button but still can't get fitbit logo nd also trying to chrge it but I can't charge nothing will happened no any sensors are worked please help to over come this issue

Hi there would you be able to advise how can I fix the sensor blinking behind the watch? It was working all this while and not it couldn't read any heartbeat anymore. Done all the factory reset, uninstall and reinstall, change faceclock, lastly even your trick in this video. Still unsuccessful :(

Had the very same issue and resolved it through this same process. After numerous attempts to reboot it, connecting to the charger and then retying, it finally rebooted. During these attempts Google Assistance would still activate?? Fitbit claims its a connectivity issue with Bluetooth, which i question?? interestingly, once rebooted the time was off by nearly 2 hours; still at about the time it had last synced. I was also unable to sync through the App, until it rebooted.

Thank you so much for this!! I'm not sure what happened - just POOF - it seemed dead and would not charge - I had to hold the power button longer than in the demo, but doing the trick toward the end WITH it on the charger helped it restart and it is charging now!! Thank you thank you~!!

I have this same issue. Had 99% battery and it won't even show it's charging on the cable. No response to button and it's black screen. Unable to get it to turn on at all. Just got it yesterday.
My fitbit versa 2 is black . You say anything about if after you hold the bottom down and it says data not clearedss sync & try again

I have a week old Fit bit Versa 3. Only the first the screen actually lit up as I twist my arm to look at the time. It doesn’t happen anymore. The screen switches on only when I aggressively double tap on it.
Any advice on how to solve this?
That’s in the setting - on your watch, go to your settings and go to Sleep wake and what you want is called “automatic” (wake up using your wrist movement), what you are in now is “manual” (tap or press button).

For the people that nothing works, in my case when I hold the button it shows set up voice assistant and not the logo, you can try changing the background of the clock. If the clock app doesn't open from the watch use your phone and change it to something elde
Brand new sense 2, charged it over 2 hours, did everything you said in the video, still won't get an fitbit logo and the screen stays black. Even no green lights on the back. It's on, it's buzzing and my app sees the sense 2, but to connect with the app you get a code, the watch buzzed when receiving the code, but the screen stays black. Even after 1 minute holding the button, it keeps black. What a sh*t watch!! Returning I guess. Or someone has a magical answer for it?
My screen is completely blank, I can restart it and feel the vibrations, but nothing appears on the screen. I’ve tried restarting a few times without luck. Any recommendations?

this didn't work for me at all. I felt the vibrations, but after a minute, still no logo and I tried this about 4-5 times. It's only 1 1/2 yr old so I'm very disappointed. But then, I'm not real impressed with the charging unit either, but LOVE the watch and things it offers 😞

Didn't work. When I push the side button I feel a vibrate but no screen, holding the button in does not do anything, when on charge cannot access the button, when changing the clock face I can feel it change but still no face.
I tried this, and it's frozen at the logo and not moving from it.

Had received a replacement. Every time it appears data not clear, syn and try again. Have tried many times result is same. Must be the worse electronic watch I encountered. Worse than any of those without a brand name.

The Fitbit Sense sucks. I had the Versa for years, and beat the hell out of it with no issues. Even saltwater in the ocean had no effect. The Sense meanwhile has a really sucky charging cable, with four tiny pins that break easily. I'm on my third charger, and this time it absolutely will not work. It is just over a year old, and I can't believe I paid so much for what was essentially a disposable watch.
