    If you want to try to reverse type 2 Diabetes, consider joining the Jumpstart Program by the Rochester Lifestyle Institute. Another great video packed with information! I've heard so many people who are fearful of spinach because they think it causes kidney stones. Meanwhile, their diet consists of meat, meat, and more meat. When I bring up that animal products cause kidney stones, they usually don't believe it.

    People that freak out over all the components of plant foods especially the oxalate part of it need to understand that we have bacteria that feed off of pretty much everything we eat and make it so things we need get digested into our system.if we didn't have microbiome we wouldn't be able to digest anything no matter how many enzymes we produce. The bacteria that feed off of oxalates is called Oxalobacter formigenes so we can shut those weirdos up right now that don't understand how the microbiome works.

    Biased video, cherry picking some studies to show animal protein causes higher mortality rate.Any diet which entirely excludes some categories of foods is not healthy. Both, vegan on one end and carnivore diet on the other, cause some nutritional deficiencies.Ideal diet would be to eat all kinds of whole home cooked foods, avoiding processed plant or animal derived foods, exercise daily, sleep for 7-8 hours, stop taking unnecessary medications,reduce stress etc.

    • @kuriskoandco
      @kuriskoandco Місяць тому

      Hello @Neptunecloud. Thanks for watching and pointing out the importance of a well rounded lifestyle. As former carnivores - we have come to a different conclusion - not by cherry picking studies, but by looking at the larger, well designed studies not paid for by industry - such as The China Study, Adventist II and more. We are convinced and very passionate about promoting an exclusive whole-food, plant-based diet. However, if we can move the needle and get individuals to cut back on meat, cut out processed foods, exercise, reduce stress etc. then we have done our part. Thanks again!

    • @kuriskoandco
      @kuriskoandco Місяць тому

      Hello @rayfih - I can only assume you are refering to the Ancel Keys controversy. Lee has a shorter video entitled Debunking the Debunkers that addresses this issue (in an abbreviated fashion). Study after study - that is reputable, large, well designed studies support the link between cancer and heart disease and animal products. Lee and I, as you are perhaps aware, used to be big time meat eaters but we became convinced by the plethora of dating supporting whole, plant based foods - but most importantly its the changes we noticed in ourselves - both of us were pre-diabetic and came out of that state within weeks. More energy, weight loss - the whole nine yards. In the least, I do hope you will consider adding some green leafy vegetables to your plate today:)

      @wilfbernsdorrff2876 - It would be so easy to promote carnivore diets - by telling everyone what they want to hear. As for the views, well, we have been so busy working, and I quite honestly have not gotten all the social media marketing tactics down, and I doubt I ever will. I'd rather be in the air flying or spending time with my grandkids. It's so easy to be an armchair skeptic. In the least, I hope you can at least consider reading The China Study. Cheers to all things green and good.

    Typical moron who doesn't understand cause and effect, evolution and at the end actually supports the case for the human carnivore. Neatly every fact he has is causily confused. For e.g Sharp teeth just means you kill with your mouth... Besides which there are mountains of anthropological evidence that early humans were scavengers, not hunters. Why would we need the same sort of weaponry as a predator?

Ashamed to admit that about a year ago I tried an almost 100% meat-exclusive diet for close to 4 weeks. By the end of it I felt terrible… low energy and out of breath… not even enough to have relations with my own wife! Thank you for sharing your extremely inspiring story. I also work in the healthcare system, I have been a physical therapist assistant for the past 27 years. Sometimes when I look at the list of diagnoses' of my patients I'm amazed that they are still alive . And the horrible facility food sure wasn't helping matters. I have been largely a vegetarian but went through phases where I was eating a lot more meat than I normally would thanks to these ridiculous carnivore and keto communities on UA-cam and allowing myself to slowly be brainwashed. In the past few weeks I have finally decided to completely give up animal products. I was mostly drinking milk and eating cheese and butter and occasionally eggs. Over the years I have always been so depressed at the plight of these factory farm animals and what we are doing to them on a daily basis. But yet, I fell into the belief that you have to have some type of animal product in your life or you will get deficiencies. Never again. And it was very hard initially to give up the milk especially, now I am just so glad that I did.

      I have only scratched the surface here. If the existence of humans were compressed into a 24 hour day, we have only been eating meat for 14 minutes. The fact that we can eat meat doesn't mean that we should eat meat. We are no longer living a subsistence existence whereby we should eat anything we can get our hands on to survive to the next day and the main challenge is to live long enough to procreate. If you want robust longevity, meat should not be on the menu. Evolution by natural selection is blind to longevity and is only based on whether or not you live long enough to reproduce.
