  • Our adventure started out rocky but we made the best out of it. It was hot as you can get I think and the 65 did well on our 650 mile loop. Love that my 2 boys got to ride with me and they really didn't complain about the heat much. We were a little bummed out that we didn't get to cruise with many others but it was just our bad timing I guess. How can you have 6000 cars on a route and only see about 20 or so in 3 to 4 hours? The route from 24 down 231 to Shelbyville and onto Fayetteville was very pretty. The 65 did pretty good in those twisty mountain roads for having skinny's in the front and no sway bars. I have seen a lot of people online complaining about the trip and have seen just as many complaining about people complaining LOl. Was it an awesome trip NO! Will I do it again? Maybe in the right group of race car friends. The camp grounds at Cedar Creek Tn. were very nice for a camp ground and I have been in a lot of them over the years. Cedar Creek one of the good ones.

Your El Camino is awesome! Glad y'all didn't have anything worse than a cooler line problem.
The couple days I attended Power Tour a few years ago, we arrived and registered a day early. I agree on the trip with a group - when we went I got to know the guys on the Bang Shift forum and that was really cool to meet up with them. None of them were fans of the Dodge :-) but that's ok with me. Take care.

I noticed the A team van before I even saw the Chevy truck.

My boys didn't know what the A Team was. I will dig up some old shows for them

We had a tuff time but enjoyed seeing the cars. Bad timing on my part I guess. Couldn't help hitting that Gator. Wish we could have seen more on the route
