Glad im not the only one with 7,037,384,021 fittings because i cant seem to order the right ones the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.. you get it. Oh wait, you did the smart thing and went to a shop.
I've had three of those Monte's over the years. The first was a 73' that was straight with very little rust, nice int and had the 350/350. I bought it on the southwest side of Indy about 37yrs ago. The guy said it was overheating and thought it was a head gasket so I got it cheap. It ended up being a stuck thermostat. I drove it for a while then sold it to a buddy's girlfriend. Thanks for the flashback!
❤ again another great 👍 👌 video 📹, on the Last video, on the Monte Carlo, n Mention parts for the Mustang, n back order, if Rock Auto doesn't or E Bay, here in Wichita, ks, I go yo mom n pups small town Auto parts stores, they need to money over bigger parts stores n have old stock OEM parts, or get on old Mustang parts group online n ask the guts on these forms were they get older parts to get ,
Instead of using a screwdriver to turn the oil pump shaft you can take the cam gear off of the old distributor and it will drop right in and you can point the rotor where you want it every time.
The rims are 15 x 8. I cannot remember what size the tires are. I did not choose them for any specific reason. Just because of the way they look on the car.
No, I bought mine from a small used car lot near where I used to live in Indianapolis. I bought it in 1987. I’m not even sure there was a Copart at that time! Lol.
No, the tires fit nicely. I did have these on my 69 Chevelle and they were rubbing the inner lip but only when I had it on the trailer and the suspension strapped down. Otherwise they fit the Monte Carlo just fine.
@@streetratgarage I’m also looking for a carbureted engine/trans for my 69 Chevelle. Mine is an SS 396 but of course it’s been robbed of the drive train long ago. Oh well
Had a '74 & wifey had a'77 at the same time. Monte's are nice ridin' & drivin' cars.
I’ve been waiting for another episode on this Montecarlo🎉

eBay has really nice braided fuel feed lines for like 30$ I’m running one on my century and have had no problem with it and they look killer
I had a 77 Monte Carlo with a 305 I swapped a 454 into it that car was a beast
I feel sorry for your street red garage, because of all those trips to and from Earl's fittings!
Just fine. When you’re making something from scratch, it’s just what you have to do!
Great choice sir.
Come On, Brother!
We are STILL Thrashing on our '47 Fleet Line!!!
Would love to ride a long with you on HRPT
It’s a fun trip. I always do it alone. It’s my time to be one with the road. Grab a cheap car and join the fun.
Why did you go with the fuel cell for a road trip the fuel compacity will make a difference a tank for that car aren't to expensive
It has been set up with a fuel cell for years. One day it will get a stock tank put Back in, for now we will be make more fuel stops!
Wish I could find swivels for my 74
They are not hard to find. There are 4 sets on Facebook market place right now
@@streetratgarage not so much here in Minnesota
Just for reference what is the front wheel setup as well? Did you choose those so the fitment would work with turning?
The rims are 15 x 8. I cannot remember what size the tires are. I did not choose them for any specific reason. Just because of the way they look on the car.
Be careful buddy!!! Those fittings may not identify as male or female...don't want ya getting yelled at bub.. lol
That engines tiny for that car!!
That’s for sure!
my first car was a 75 monte.Did you buy yours from copart?

Have you had any fender scraping issued on your Rear tires? I Just got my wheels and installed them. Have you done anything with the rear suspension?
No, the tires fit nicely. I did have these on my 69 Chevelle and they were rubbing the inner lip but only when I had it on the trailer and the suspension strapped down. Otherwise they fit the Monte Carlo just fine.
Alright. Cool. I probably need to replace some suspension components
What happened to the 69 Chevelle?
I still have it. Just waiting to get an ls engine swapped in.

Just keep an eye out on Facebook market place. I see them pop up every now and then.
Can I ask what the dimensions and specs of the rear wheels are?
Jegs SSR Star 15x10 wheels with 295 / 50 / 15 tires
Thanks! I think they look really good on your car
