Thank you for doing this video I've found it so helpful. My little dog is getting on, but still enjoys some serious hiking. Where the climbs are quite rocky I've been looking for a bag that was practical and safe to put him in until the path improved. Charlie weighs 7kg so I'm hoping that I will have a similar experience as you both 🙂

I have a mini dachshund too, what size did you get for her/him?
I got mine a small and it is perfect! The straps adjust so she is very snug. She loved being able to see everything. My mini girls is only about 9.5 lbs.

I keep looking for info on how they zip up or convert to a more traditional carrier in order to store under the seat in front of you on the airplane, and can't find it. Does the top somehow close with the dogs legs inside the bag rather than through the holes?
This was super informative! We just bought one of these, we have a little 3 and a half month old dachshund. How did you get your pups to like being in them? It may just be because she’s a puppy and has lots of energy, but she doesn’t love it haha
I had to rig mine so the dogs collar was connected to the bottom. So when they jump up I can pull from the bottom.
How has this bag held up? I was looking at this one but I'm concerned about the pressure it puts on dachsund spines with IVDD risks

Hi there! I'm soon to be a first time dog mum! I've been considering the K9 bags for daily (groceries etc) and outdoor activities, but since you mentioned it being particularly useful at the airport, I'm even more interested to hear more. Airports feel like my second home sometimes (that is to say, I air travel a lot!). For some reason, I assumed that this bag would not be 'acceptable' for in cabin use, but your video seems to not only suggest, but prove otherwise. Would you be able to explain further? Perhaps its airline specific, but isn't it a general requirement that the dog needs to be fully contained in the 'case' and be able to stand up, move around yadayada.... ? hahah. PS: Thanks so much for taking the time to film the review for the rest of us! :)
Thanks for the comment and our pups are ESA certified which means they can be on a leash or on our laps. Dogs that are not certified have to sit by your feet or be in a soft closed carrier. I know that SouthWest is the most pet-friendly airline we have been with and the others have more rule and regulations from our experience. I hope this helps! Hello, my dachshund has had back surgery, it looks as though the weight is going down through spine which is harmful. Obviously you’re careful dog owners.. can you reassure? Thankyou

Pretty sure all dogs need to fit in an underseat carrier for airplanes unless you have a service dog or emotional support dog.
@@Moriendii I can confirm this is true in Canada. The dogs are not allowed to sit on your lap. There is also an additional fee to bring them on the plane(approx $50CAD).

Yeah I wish they offered a pack for larger dogs with a waist strap. My dog weighs 65lbs, and there is nothing like this available.

Well made but if you're a large guy, the shoulder strap adjustments are nowhere near close to being effective ( they tend to strangle you)
