Me watching the on-board during this: "A lady!" "Puppies!" "Climbing into bushes!" "A balcony railing!" "It's going too fast!" One of the most intense videos you've done :| 10/10, watching it again.
Most interesting thing here is the tracks, the incline/elevated elements can and probably would be replicated with standard lego for aesthetic reasons while the tracks give new and cheaper options for the builder. Also "no permanent damage, just discoloration"? That IS permanent damage, simply not debilitating damage, flex it a few more times and it will break.
Wow. I realize this video has been up for a few years, but I'm new to all this now that my son is of age to get involved. This is so well produced and executed, exactly what I want to see when looking for information. A thoroughly tested product accompanied with excellent presentation. Liked & subbed.
Me too, never liked the idea of having remote controlled trains... They should have gone the digital way and used micro controllers inside the trains that respond to the signal being broadcasted through the rail. This way, they could have also realised automatic switches or power other devices along the rail.
@@searme :-) Or you could have 'quickly' build a remote control "Heavy Duty" cable crane with a claw grip. with a partially rotatable and extending boom. a small wireless camara just above the claw so you can see / guide the crane claw over the train part. probably would need a little stronger & thicker thread for the cables. the claw would have to be weighted a bit to keep the 'cables' tight and not twisting. will also need to weight the back end of the crane to counter balance the extended boom & etc weight.
I just bought some of these myself: the ultimate double crossover and a set of R72 and R88 curves. Initial impressions are good, I'm just curious to see how they hold up long term. I am also planning on putting copper tape on them all so that I can use them with old 9V stuff.
@@g.williams2047 Yes quite well, at least for going straight. Actually getting the current to transfer when the switch is activated is a lot more complicated and I didn't feel like bothering with that.
@@g.williams2047 Yes getting the current to cut off when you throw the switch is a tricky thing. Otherwise copper tape works really well. Only issue is it is slightly more bumpy, but that is only really a problem if you try and run just the 9V motor itself without a train weighing it down it can bounce off on curves at max speed.
The next thing TrixBrix should do is to make guard rails for the train, possibly? Although, the train body may get stuck unless the guard rail is hyper smooth.
This reminds me so much of the Marklin sustems from years ago. I only had one train, but it came together with a thick book full of possible layouts and other models. I could watch trough the book for hours. I wish LEGO focused more on their train systems. As you see what Trixbrix does, there is so much potential (English?)
now that you did this more people are going to see that trixbricks exist and a lot more are going to support them, I'm glad you finally got to these guys, also is your hamster always this calm when hes on a moving train?
Hello, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have both tracks and wheels that have small ridges on them. That should increase traction on slopes a lot, which should make it easier for the train to climb slopes that use these ridged tracks.
The double crossover is more usable, even the standard edition, than its LEGO counterpart. As for the crossing it's not that strange the LEGO counterpart is more expensive, because it's 9V.
Hey Sariel, good evening! I found your videos very educational for people, like me and you, that have some passion for Lego! :) I came here by because I'm currently making a train layout and I would like to know how much straight tracks you used in the vídeo in order to reach 16 bricks height. I've searched throughout some AFOL forums and it is said that elevations with a slope bigger than 3 degrees it's a bit tricky. Thanks in advance and best regards from Portugal! :)
This was a very well made and helpful video as usual. When I have money I will probably buy these things! Do you think its possible to make the incline pieces using regular lego bricks?
Hey sariel u made alot of tanks and some of them are from world of tanks also can u make the Japanese heavy type 5 tank with working gun plz that would be awesome love u vids
Can you create a "arc Soft"? I dont know if that is the correct translation. I mean a railway soft in the corner like Märklin and the 1:87 trains have f.ex. www.modell-werkstatt.de/bogenweiche-r1-r2-links

@@searme How did the Lego 60051 Train Derailed in a Curve?
Anyone else get scared at 10:40, when the train neared the balcony, especially after Sariel taught us that curves after inclines are risky?
Me!
i did
Looks like a nice alternative to official Lego track!

They look quite sturdy. Stand up to your test punishments really well. Thanks I have been considering getting some. Now I now I want some.
I loved teh music in this Video, Keep up the amazing work. I can see you with 200k in the next 5 few months
I am from the time that Lego tracks were powered, instead of the trains! And you actually had to plug the set into a wall outlet!
While escaping the dinosaurs, I remember ;)
Oscar Scheepstra almost all my old blue and powered tracks are breaking cuz they are getting old :( the power supply has also died years ago

for the next iteration, they would probably have to add some sort of intelligent track management, for the computer... that would be so cool
Very well edited!
very good!
I wondered about those, I know I can count on your honest opinion,
severe as if you d buy them for yourself, I like that.
good work Sariel!
Trixbrix are pretty good. I got some ramps/bridge supports off their ebay store and they work perfectly and look great..
the balcony turn looked risky
Actually, some top pieces from my 60052 engine ended up in my neighbor's garden.

Yup, I just went downstairs :)

When you have a 3D printer at home, you can make any track you want!
Yeap and much cheaper )
Good addition for Lego trains! :)
YES I was waiting for more trains.

These look like a win
looks great !
Super filmy
Great, now i need them for 9V Trafo.
Hamster in a train.... GENIUS!
The unofficial sequel to Snakes on a plane ;)
There should be a kickstarter project so they can make these with injection molding.
now that you did this more people are going to see that trixbricks exist and a lot more are going to support them, I'm glad you finally got to these guys, also is your hamster always this calm when hes on a moving train?
Yes, he's a cool hamster, just admiring the views :)
I need to get myself one of those crossovers some day. Still trying to get straight track, though.
Which music you used? It's really nice.
My favorite music so far
Looks like Lego has some competition
Hello, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have both tracks and wheels that have small ridges on them. That should increase traction on slopes a lot, which should make it easier for the train to climb slopes that use these ridged tracks.
They wheels already have small rubber bands on them, which I think works better and doesn't ruin the look of the tracks.

I don't remember, perhaps you can count from the video.
The parts we always wanted but never got!
Hey Sariel do you keep all your creations or do you take them apart and build something else? Keep up the good work!
I keep nothing.
This was a very well made and helpful video as usual. When I have money I will probably buy these things! Do you think its possible to make the incline pieces using regular lego bricks?
You can build similar supports using LEGO bricks and plates and pins, yes.
Sariel's LEGO® Workshop Ok I'll try that.
Now you can connect these tracks to your train elevator thing
Love your pets ;-)

Have you ever considered making a Lego train MOC? If you do I would suggest the NewYorkCentral 4-8-4 Niagara a steam engine
I've done a few already. This is the latest one but you may also like the older ones: ua-cam.com/video/HiRDH5u-UaY/v-deo.html
Nice review😋👍 these seem quite expensive, although I suppose they are cheap compared to some of the real Lego versions! 🤔👍
Very good.
Now I want to have a Lego train too.
If only jangbricks new about these
I wonder if They Have the Stl Files for these track Online to 3d Print for people who Have 3d Printers
I wish Lego made them. Then they would be cheap.
p.s: can you give me a complete product list for TrickBrix tracks?
They're all listed here: www.trixbrix.eu
If there only was a product like this for Monorails. I would kill for an original, but a Lego compatible alternative would be fine.
There is, check 4DBrix.
Please let me know which music is this? It is realy awsone. Just like to listen on youtube....
how do you manage to get your trains to get up the incline, as mine are struggling when cars are attached to the locomotive...
You need to build up some momentum.
now they just have to make these tracks for the 9V trains :3
8:32 maybe not the greatest question but, what bike is that..am realy curious

Surprised by pricing. Too expensive as for me. I would say 5-10 times more expensive than has to be.
Now I know how to scare unwanted animals off my backyard. ;)

eBay? Bricklink?
I'm assuming the STL files aren't available
Ask the manufacturer.
Course not, that's like a car company giving away their prototypes for free, everyone to use.
lol I really hate the tight curves of lego tracks, give an unrealistic overhang
00:20 the on/off falls of before the train crashes
Doesn't the discoloration signal damage?
yes it does mean wear and tear, but that only happens when you do that with manual force, trains and the tracks wont harm it
What is this music? I want know
Cool

I didn't create any of these pieces, just reviewed them. Try contacting the manufacturer if you have requests.
Who still uses the 9V tracks?

if they would sell the design so you could print them your self , that would make it allot better.

but cheaper then lego's track, but that's not all there doing, from what I remember there bringing back monorail
Michael Bobb. Still though, like he said, too expensive for what the product actually is.
