Robert Wants His Cat DNA Tested | Shark Tank How It Started
Came here because just saw a clip of Kevin O’Leary saying this was one of his biggest deals they recently sold the company for an astronomical amount nda. He said he had 3.5% of the company: I’m guessing they sold for 150 million . Remember I’m just guessing tho.
I came from the same video lol
@@eveg4737 same lol
Me too
Lol same here
I believe they sold for 93 million.
"I love cats because they're costumers now" 😂😂😂
I laughed out loud!!!
Kevin now loves cats. 😆
People hate on Kevin so much but he is almost always the first to make an offer
Who hates him!? He’s the funniest shark by far
Surprised Kevin made such a generous initial offer! Nice to see the success update 😅
they sold to large phamaceutical company for 50 millions.
He's smart for crying out loud 😅
He's the opposite of dumb retail investor
@@fakuridesne it's much more than that. Kevin can't really said the amount cause he signed NDA.
The company was purchased for 875 billion dollars. The technology is extremely valuable.
@@fakuridesneIt’s Actually 93 million dollars not 50 😂
Update
Sold the company to a pharmaceutical company for over 50mil
93
It sold to a large pharmaceutical company for over 93 Million dollars 😂!
Kevin is a smart shark, I noticed the portfolio he’s built over the years in shark tank and how it’s helped him attract deals better. I remember this company’s data being used for another product.
I feel like this lady is way too smart that I just can’t trust her lol.
Hi Barbara!
@@scarygary5678?😂😂😂 underrated comment
And for that reason I am out
Maybe because she is Russian ahahahha sorry
Well all smart people know you can never trust someone till that trust is earned but you can never guarantee trust in this world with human error.
Her company still only caters to cats which I think was smart. Other brands like Wisdom Panel cater to both. She can focus on marketing to one group of pet owners and really specialize in the feline health market.
* Update *
The company was sold to a pharmaceutical company for way over 50,000,000 $ !
Horse would really make sense though. When she said that at the beginning I thought that would be a great idea as genetics and lineage in horses are major in horse circles, especially the more expensive they get.
Her was cheaper hence had high demand
@@reuven201093 Million Dollars 😂
This amazing idea and business just screamed success. I am surprised more Sharks were not onboard with it
She saw all the money being made by ancestry and said screw it let’s do pets lmao
It’s the data that’s valuable
She sold her data to a tech company for like 90M.
@@stealthdefense962593 million dollars yes 😂
I love cats because they are customers now 😂😂😂😂😂
I love this idea! I'm glad they are doing well!
Pharmaceutical company bought the company for more than 50m dollars
She ended up selling the company for about around 90 million dollars. Because she had all that data,
I just came from the same short lol
93 million dollars to be exact
I love her! She is so amazing! I wonder where she is now with her success?
Watch the podcast with Kevin. He said this is his most money in return.
Probably building another business!
Turns out this was the most profitable IRR in shark tank history. She ended up going on to sell the company to of course a pharmaceutical company which purchased it specifically for the DNA data they accumulated in a few years.
Its still around and used it for my own cat last year
Fit in a normal garage, how about in an alley, parking spot, tunnel, a parking garage and the lane of the road? What about turning radius ?
Where is Robert as mentioned in caption 😂😂
They sell the company for over 100+millions! Good deal !
She was laughing off internally at the Sharks' stupid reasons to go out..
By the way I think she sold the company for 93million
Yeah to a large pharmaceutical company for over 93 million dollars!
He made 70 millions dollar selling this company to pharmaceutical company
Comes with free tinder membership for cat “moms”
lori punching air
I wish the cat started cleaning itself mid pitch
This chick said "thank you" to everyone besides guess who? She just said "hmmm". 3:20
She looks like she bites her toesnails with her teeth, Hmmm.
Maybe she forgot his name 😄?
Funny how Robert made fun of his other sharks being folliclely challenged yet Robert is the one who got a hair transplant.
Robert made a killing on this deal
Who else came here after the nelk podcast?
yep
No one
Imagine investing 125k and made u 4mil of roi
Maybe still neet to calculate the tax cost and everything
But 2000% of roi in 2~3years is definitely crazy
3.33 who needs scaling when big pharma comes calling?;)
Wisdom Panel has been around for literally a decade or so…
Now this company is sold for more than 50 million dollars 💰
93 million dollars 💵 😂
4:29 You're welcome
Im here because im curious of the news that Mr. Wonder made 20X his investment to this company!
This company was sold for over 50 million to big pharma in a few years after this episode. 🤷♂️
they didnt even mention sales or anything on a 5 mil evaluation... terrible clip
Mr. wonderful made millions from basepaws
What is with the furry?
So she is the Theranos of animals.
lmao that was exactly my thought
Mmm hmmm
Except her technology actually worked well enough to sell it for $93M.
Cold warrior 89
As usual daymond skippin 😂
Notice she hmmmed him and everyone else got a thank you 3:20
You can definitely do dogs..... Lady, PHRASING!

For years I have been pitching the idea of a shark with Shark Tank we're rather than a panel of five radically arrogant wealthy people, it's done with one host and a green screen and it's the viewers that participate in helping that person to connect with the ideal investor for their idea. And this show those that helped make that connection also get a piece of the pie.
I don't understand. I have a bird, but I have absolutely ZERO interest in knowing her ancestry, and we've had her for over 15 years, and I'm not worried about diseases at this point! I can't figure out why someone would want to know where their cat comes from.
A cat a cat a bird a bird
Agreed, and the inbreeding aspect of all those fancy cats.
Well knowing its ancestry will allow you to know what diseases it has lmao. It's not hard to understand
@@jonah.donohueand yet somehow you’ve misunderstood OPs comment 😂
probably coz different culture.. many people in the US (and perhaps some other countries) treat their pets, especially cats & dogs, like their own family, so they wanna give them the best life they could have, and one of the ways to do that is by knowing their pets better
great entrepreneur!!
Hmmm?
she sold the company for 10 M hahahha
When shecomes out with a fuury, Im out.
Easy bear 80
So weird
Cruel bear 96
Oh
🇹🇹so many ambitious, hardworking, Black American entrepreneurs are strategically & intentionally overlooked. They'll invest millions in WeWork just because of the obvious, which is fine, because I promise u, that the economic playing field will be leveled when my dreams come true. Not 1 melanin entrepreneur on this show (who's color blind to fund the appearance fee?). We can't win🌏😏⌚👞👔💼🙏🏿1 day i'll have enough capital to invest in my people. The dreams ain't high as it used to be but we still got dreams😌.
You're racist af 🤦🏾♂️
Sadly black people don't invest in themselves
