VDV officer at victory day parade said it all by NOT saluting putin in line of officers he greeted after parade. How is that now? maybe he remembers Hostomel too well...
Perhaps above all, because vdv, spetznaz were forced to do meat-assaults at Avdiivka, suffering a lot of casualties, until they refused to do the Z-sturm (meat-assaults) anymore.
There was also a 'brand new' vdv unit deployed to Krynky, and was completely annihilated there.
