Companies that choose their own path based on their own principles are becoming rarer by the day. Well done Alubat for sticking to what it believes in, and offering the customer more choice as a result. A proper swing keel too that retracts into the hull to allow the yacht to dry out, such a useful feature. I'm not sure aluminium construction (in general) makes a boat orca-proof though. For all its qualities it is a relatively soft material. Orcas have already disproven the theory that skeg hung rudders are bullet proof. Perhaps there's something to be said for making rudders sacrificial in order to preserve the intergity of the hull (assuming a spare/emergency rudder system is available)?

You should stop spraying at the end of a pass, before starting again on the next Spraying Pass. by keeping Spraying at the end of each passtheends get over sprayed, causing runs and extra paint build up. Press spray, pass end spray start spray pass end spray, is the correct technique. Me? I even had to Design a Correct Copper Nail for Slate fixing, to replace the Copper Nails being used which guaranteed Nail Failure, and inevitable Roof Failure. Great factory tour, thanks. Lovely boats, but a new one is beyond my financial reach unfortunately. Maybe in 10 years time on the 2nd hand market. So, when are you placing your order for a 490 ??
Wouldn't that be nice a 490 eh, sadly not yet, like you unless we come into some money we will have to wait for the 2nd hand market? Hmm maybe;)
Let me know if I got this right.

@@CharlieZenenour we missed a few, as you know any yacht is a compromise and even a great shipyard has its limits, but when a yard is run by global adventure sailors and they listen not just to their costemers but to other yacht owners something special starts to happen and they evolve for our benefit. I love all boats big and small and my aime is just to help as many people get out on the water or participate in the sailing world one way or another.

That's a very corporate response.
I like it!

@@SVTONICBoatWives Bonjour, avez vous fait un reportage sur le chantier META ? merci.
Hi Ladies. I have a Contact who I pointed your Channel to - which he likes, and who you could chat with about extended options for the Dufour Range, and who can likely sort out a Factory Visit, so how can I send you the Contact details privately? Bob PS. The Company is the one really working their Butts Off to Get me exactly what I need Built and/or customised.👍
I appreciate your help with this Bob, On the contact details for our UA-cam channel, we have our work/my email. In a few weeks, we will make our Patreon live so people can get direct access to us that way as well.
@@SVTONICBoatWives Having a look see if I an forward Janie’s email to you 👍
@@SVTONICBoatWives Jesus Wept I think I managed it, it’s all in comments in Patreon. Off for a Mince Pie followed by a Cigarette. sigh. 😊👍⛵️
@@brownnoise357 Just found it thank you and thank you for the sea miles. we are just starting with Patreon so lots on the page are unfinished. I just want to create a chat room and that sort of thing so we can all get together from time to time a talk things boaty etc.
@@SVTONICBoatWives Sounds good.👍 Not sure how long I'll be able to keep Patreon going at the moment - trying to save up enough to fill the Heating Oil Tank in November - filling it thenshould get us through to March nicely. Jamie likes your Hannel, and should be able to help with Boat Tours at Shows, and I bet that Dufour 390 would be right up a lot of people's street tbh, and frankly, my biggest worry is the amount of unprotected Termite Food Plywood there is tbh, and Bulkheads in particular need to have Termite Proof Coatings applied before the other internal Furniture gets fitted, and the furniture needs protecting as well. I haven't brought up the Subject of Termites up with Jamie yet, as I didn't want to Scare him too much. But given the places people like to Charter Boats in, also tend to have Termite problems, it needs thinking about tbh. Right now, only Island Packet take the Trrmite problem seriously, and that's because the new owners are former Osland Packet Dealers, and so many of their Customers were having their Boats literally Eaten from under them by Termites. 🤔 Best Wishes. Bob. 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️
Frankly, I think it best for me and the Channel if I cease Commenting and Subscribing to it if others who comment cant handle valid Criticisms which are easily confirmed with their own eyes, once serious failures are not just pointed out, but are rationally explained. At least for a while I will also unsibscibe until the deeply shocked manage to grow up. My very Best Wishes Ladies, and wishing you Every Success. Bye for now. Bob, who will never excuse the inexcusable. 🤔🌟🌟🌟👍❤️
There is no need to go, Bob, we are all friends here, and you have been here for a long time so stay, please.

Much to like, apart from shockingly bad and amateur Spraying Technique which results in uneven paint application. You should stop spraying at the end of a pass, before starting again on the next Spraying Pass. by keeping Spraying at the end of each passtheends get over sprayed, causing runs and extra paint build up. Press spray, pass end spray start spray pass end spray, is the correct technique. Me? I'd have had to show them. laughs. 😅 Don't worry, I have had to point out incorrect Slating to the Spanish natural Slating school, along with problems they hadn't appreciated with the problems with Hook Fixing Slates either, along with how to correctly fit the final top course of Slates Correctly. I even had to Design a Correct Copper Nail for Slate fixing, to replace the Copper Nails being used which guaranteed Nail Failure, and inevitable Roof Failure. As I admit, I'm a right old Fussy Pants. 😅 Nice look see - and if you rematch the Spraying, you should see what I'm on about. Spraying like that would have them sacked by my former Custom Bodywork Boss, withbwhom I rebuilt his Offshore Powerboat - which had a gorgeous Paint job - he had perfect timing for wave hopping when going flat outbtoo. Old Max was an impressive Power Boat Driver tbh. Probably dead and gone now. Best Wishes, and thanks again. Bo . 🤔🌟🌟🌟👍❤️
pour infos l'applicateur fait le retour hors de la partie a peindre sur le haut il inverse sur le papier de camouflage et le bas il repart dessous la coque
How shockingly rude of you.
@@philipwright7186 Hoew is it Rude to Point Out Something that should be Ringing Alarm Bells, if a Company is getting Something Basic So Wrong ? Are you attempting to excuse what is the worst mistake Amateur Sprayers Always Make, and the video evidence is there in your Face ? That Hum is Far, Far Worse than being Rude ! Facts are Facts, and if you can't handle the Truth, Sorry Chum but that is YOUR Problem So YOU Own it. Now Dirch the Trolling attempt at excusing the inexcusable. Have *I* Done better Spraying than That ? Yep, I was Trained by a Professional and worked the Paint Booth on a Factory Production Line (at a Factory for Cam Gears that made Auto Parts ). I made the Comment because it was Obvious, Pertinent, and raises questions about Basic inability to get something important right - Consistency of Paint Coat Application - "Rude" was you barging in, and instead of making a Contribution of Some Value, all you were capable of, was delivering a Drive by ignorant insult. ffs, even the Spanish Slating School Changed their Teaching when the Safety implications of what I showed them Sank in - if the top course of the Slates wasn't solidly fixed, then the Heacy Ridge Tiles couldn't be fitted Securely, and we're a Safety Hazard to everybody on the Street Below ! ut according to you, Maybe I dhould have bit my Tongue ? 🤔 😡
@@philipwright7186 Hmm. My reply has been disappeared.tbh, pointing out a Chronic lack of Skill should be welcomed as well as accepted as valid Criticism by any professional Company that should be interested in improving their products ? In Fact it is expected from highly paid Troubleshooters who get pulled in Urgently to resolve serious Problems with for example Construction Projects, one of the last experts in that field Globally, was my Friend Clem, who amongst many Troubleshooting Contracts was for a German Designed and Supervised Power Station in Africa. Without his remedial work, if the power station had been fired up, with all of the Technical Staff at their Stations in the Control Room, avery single individual in that Control Room would have been Electrocuted and killed, and the transformer Far right next to a Housing Development would have Had a Chain of Plasma Detonations, like a Cascade of Mini Nuclear Explosions going off. Clem was skilled enough to fully redesign the Wiring on the Fly, and trained the Workforce how to safely Wire up High Voltage wiring Connections, and yes, I’m pretty sure the German Designers thoughThat Clem Said About them was moo than a bit Rude. Unfortunately, Google isn’t allowing a translation of that comment in French, but it is hard to escape the significance of the word “Canouflage” which too me counts as another Ske against me being able to recommend this Companies Products. My ion of them in fact started as favourable, but sadly that is no longer the case, and isn’t helped by their attempt at concealing unprofessionalism, which right now, they are clearly encouraging. tbh, if I could have had some assurances on the reliability of Lifting Keels, I had become interested in the 430 Model. Well, I guess they can kiss goodbye to that potential Order as an example of my supposed rudeness. 🤔 Still, at least continuing debate in the comments section, may assist SV Tonic Boatwives Channel’s Google Algorithms I supppoose. Can everyone play nice please or I will be forced to open another bottle of whisky and sing you all a very bad sea chanty about naughty mermades and hardy pirates.
An extremely Disturbing PS to my very long post on CO2, Ozone etc etc. Mars Atmosphere Research clearly points to a healthy Surplus of CO2 Content, actively working hand in glove with Photosynthesis, actively Works to Prevent a Runaway Greenhouse Effect ? Which leads to the Disturbing Hypothesis - That Forces are at work in the attempt to Exterminate All Carbon Based Life on this Planet of Ours ! Unfortunately, all of the Facts and Actions being taken Fitvthis Hypothesis, and I would Absolutely be delighted, and love to have that Hypothesis Proven to be Wrong. Please, Please Prove me Wrong. 🤔 Bob. 😢
PPS. A Verification of the Mars Atmosphere Research Conclusions, are provided by Earth's Atmosphere 75 million years ago, at the time of the Dinosaurs, when the Atmosphere had a very abundant supply, and the intensity of Plant Growth and therefore Photosynthesis was simply staggering, just to be able to support very large numbers of simply massive Dinosaurs reaching Fully Grown Maturity in a very short time. Yet No Runaway Greenhouse Effect ? The extent to which we are being Lied To, and Deliberately So at that, is reattaching. Either Watson or Crick, the DNA guys - I can't be arsed to look it up at this hour - Said that Contrary to the Opinion of their Mother's, Most Scientists were just Stupid ? They forgot to add just how urrerly Corrupt they are as well. Frankly, Stalin would have had all of them shot for the damage they were doing to Real Science if he had known. Instead, the Soviet Union had the sense to Ban Lysenkoism in the mid 1960's, and they never de.iberately Dumbed Down their Popu.ation like the West did, from about 1905 either, plus haven't De Industrialised. Hence the Russian Federation is at least 40 years ahead of Western Science in pretty much every Field and along with China and BRICS, now stands to take over the entire global Technology Msrket because Western Pagers, Walkie Talkies, Laptops and Mobile Phones have gone "BANG ! " You just couldn't make it up. 😄😄😄 🤔😡 tbh, I think RICS knows about the CO2 Shodtage, and that is why hima expa ded the number er of Coal Fired Power Stations that they are Building ? Actually it would serve us better to have them Built at more Equatorial Latitudes ? Terraforming to serve Carbon Based Life Forms, is a damned sight easier than for non Carbon Based Life Forms, and this may surprise some, but Well Educated Organic Brain intelligence is others of magnitude Superior to what we Call Artificial intelligence. To the Point, at after being an AI Research and Development Tester sin e the 1970's , and know just how Stupid and Psychopath AI really is, I srtaunly won't be allowing it onto any of my devices, and if there is no option, I will Bin them, and disappear over the Horizon on a Sailboat. Nobody Sane is going to like what these things lead to Frankley. I've watched page after page of players log out and never to return, when they reach End Game, and have watched it happen for Decades, and the Research Devs ? Refuse to listen when us Testers warned them what the Outcome would be, if they Continued with what they were doing. Then when it all Blew Up in Their Faces, Always the Same Words - But Nobody Could Have Seen it Coming ! Just like the EU, it committed slow Suicide in 2014 by taking interest Rates Negative, that Blew Up the EU in the September 2019 Repo Crisis, and now in 2024 (I got it wrong, I predicted its collapse would start in 2025 ) with every EU Bank, Financial institution and the ECB insolvent. the Collapse of the EU has now Started, and even the non Economist Garland Nixon - a nice guy - has spotted that the EU is Collapsing. This will make you split your sides laughing - Yet the British Political Establishment is doing its damndest to get Britain Back In ? 😀😀😀😀😀 All the Best, and maybe see you over the Rainbow.
