As a luxury hospitality receptionist, I am ashamed that I never realized that the “Hilton” in Paris Hilton was the same as the “Hilton” AS IN THE FREACKING HOTEL CHAIN
I like her. She’s had growth and she has purpose. Shes not just creating more body issues for people to chase after. She’s doing what she’s passionate about and she’s being who she wants to be. 🤷🏼♀️
that says a lot about our society. we can never simply feel blessed for being both attractive and intelligent because men will always fear that lack of control, and other women will always be jealous of what they perceive as better. I wish I could create a world where we actually built each other up for once
i think you're missing a vital point here which is her troubled teen industry past. It's not a rebrand wheres shes saying shes changed, it's a reintroduction because the whole persona known as Paris Hilton was a defense mechanism. The image of her past self went from a privileged dumb blonde to a scared abused girl who was trying to make her way out. And this new era for her is the end of the tunnel for that girl: she found her way out and is now thriving with her own family and businesses, while looking back and using her influence to try and protect other children from being put in that same position.
I personally feel like a woman shouldn't have to change the way she dresses and looks to be taken seriously. I feel like viewing her pink, glam persona as incompatible with a serious, adult Paris the real person is problematic. Why can't she be both? Why does she have to choose? Why can't she surround herself with whatever aesthetically pleases her whilst also being the same exact person she would be if she was wearing a navy pants suit and therefore be taken seriously?
This! I feel like it actually plays into her brand especially with young women. She shows that even with all the pink, party and glitter you can be successful and should be taking seriously. Which I feel like a lot of girls and women can identify with nowadays.
I don't know if they got legally blonde from her as inspiration but this comment makes me think of legally blonde😭 the whole struggle of being seen as smart because you wear "pink"
definitely her most genius move is showing how she’s a mom now. the documentary let people know who she is who really want to know but keeping that image up for everybody to casually see without watching a documentary and still humanizing her is absolutely absolutely wonderful
i love this series sooo much. zoe’s eloquence and engaging editing only adds to topics that are already interesting at a base level. i hope this series is a long one!
Loving this series! As a business student, analysis of such popular figures and their brands from a marketing perspective is quite interesting to watch ❤
She's definitely on track to a complete rebranding as a serious businesswoman and I think even she understands it's going to take time. Yes she still has the pink and glizty aesthetic but she's been increasing her exposure to other audiences on serious topics and discussions to allow, in my opinion, for a smoother transition. The biggest problem with celebrities trying to rebrand is that they get impatient and either force it and/or go to an extreme that does even MORE damage and takes even *longer* to recover from. Paris understands legacy and the value in cultivating one over time.
I couldn’t stand Paris during the 2007 tabloid craze but when she played the air head socialite in Repo the Genetic Opera, which made fun of her (persona), I realized it was a character she played for the media too. She was in on the joke and I’ve grown to like and respect her more and more over the years.
I've been guilty of playing dumb to reap the full benefits of pretty privilege. I am highly educated and successful, but if you just met me, you'd think I was a bimbo. Part of it is me playing dumb, and part of it is that I'm bubbly. I can't judge her for it; I do it too, just *way* more toned down.
Girl, most of Paris Hilton's fans have always been millennial women. She didn't specifically want to appeal to a male audience. She was always branding herself for the celebrity and pop culture- obsessed millennial women.
I like and admire her now as she's found a deeper purpose. I disagree however that her current visual brand clashes with her new more "serious" persona. To me it looks like two sides of a complex human being. I can relate to the trauma she's gone through and admire girly fashion and makeup just as she does. I'm glad there's more to this woman now.
She is an icon a legend and is The moment she was gen z before gen z existed someone messed up yet hot reckless rebellious and enjoying life all while having growth as a human being someone who didn’t shy away from experiencing things hitlon is an influence on soo many celebs today kim k julia fox or even someone like charli xcx she was truly ahead of her time she is the blueprint for modern popular culture
I’ve loved Paris since I was a little girl💖💖 but obviously I didn’t know she was problematic and when her documentary came out I couldn’t believe everything she did! So I admire her even more 🫶🏽 I think we all need to disconnect from reality once in a while and no one does it better than Paris Hilton ✨(the brand, of course, I know she’s doing it to always be able to take care of her family)
Doja cat is one that I would like to hear about. And this pop cultural series is extremely good and very interesting.❤❤Love your videos. Look forward to the next one
Her telling about her difficult childhood and standing up for victims of those aweful youth camps is great. She is growing and doing better. However, saying racial and homophobic slurs is never okay
I'm personally very intrigued to see a glamorous girl with appreciation for bling and with her actual nose and actually very intelligent for a change. If we could have a whole Kardashian era rise and tumble down, why not go the other way now.. seems different and we desperately need some change
I was so in love with her perfumes when I was teen 😱 ! Loving her album so much and listen it, those days too... As millenial she was a huge part of my childhood and my teenage years 😍😍😍
Love your vids Zoe! You always have such good insights! ❤❤ I think she will be successful with rebrand if she really commits to both the causes she claims to back, and the new identity. Even if the hot pink and blond visuals are traditionally associated with the party girl vibe, she could still own that aesthetic in a more "professional" way. Like elle woods type vibe 😂
hi zoe, can u do a video about why popflex by blogilates is successful, basically one of the branding videos about cassie. i think it would be great!! lyy and your videos
Rebranding must be one of the scariest things to go through. Launching a new product without rebranding is already a balance of "Give the consumer the same thing as the previous product, but different/better". So I get that it's so easy to fall into familiar patterns just to make sure the brand sells and retains it's audience. This doesn't justify bigotry, but still
Hey zoe, I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Could you please do serena carpenter? I would love to see you dissect the olivia Rodrigo and joshua basset drama and how she came out on top and how she got so succesful!!
Personally I think it would be genious to exploit her pink image. I think what she needs is a new catch phrase. Something along the lines of “I can do it in pink”. Her styles should change to suits, strong silhouettes like shoulder pads and long, slim and pointy sunglasses. Something more retro futuristic inspired but in hot or pale pink. Take inspiration from Merilyn Monroe in “Getlemen prefer blondes” and the way it still managed to portray Marilyn as a desirable adult even though she was dancing around in a hot pink dress singing about diamonds. And just to give it more of an adult edge, she could strongly incorporate silver and matte black in order to contrast her pink with these more grown-up and mature colors. Maybe even use rhinestones but very tastefully (for example on purses). I think this look would not alienate any of her current audience and despite not changing her color palette, would be very easily identifiable and taken more seriously. It is not the color that is holding her back. It is the styles and silhouettes.
Thanks, Zoe, I remember being envious the way she dressed back in the early 2000s when I was a kid. She wears pink very well! Have you done Mary Kate and Ashley yet?
After reading her autobiography I have a new respect for her. Her childhood was so fucked up and her teens and 20s being watched like a hawk really makes you think damn. She isn't dumb, she gives people what they want. Also for @zoeunlimited, it does kind of rub me the wrong way you keep showing the same one racial instance over and over and over again in your video and make it seem like it was multiple occasions when it wasn't. I'm not a dick rider for Paris but it doesn't seem like honest story telling on your part and is just done for sensationalism

I thought her cooking show was hilarious. Satirical and over the top. I like that she can play the “airhead” and still be her authentic intelligent self. I don’t think the two are at odds.
You don't know what happened behind the scenes only what the media decides to make up and tell us. Lindsay back then was on all kinds of drugs and dealing with people high is not easy not to mention all the men Lindsay tried to take from Paris i.e Stavros niarchos being one you don't know how Lindsay treated Paris. None of those girls were ever "real" friends they are all thrown together by Hollywood publicist's that doesn't mean there all going to like each other Lindsay is the one who had issues with like literally every young Hollywood starlet back then Paris didnt don't you think that is everyone is having issues with one person then maybe it's THAT person?
Everyone in the comments who seem to be yass-ing her up I think are trying to whitewash her through this rebrand and rewriting her past for her as just some abused victim of society, and whether part of that is true, I don't like that people can just handwave the legitimate scrummy thing she did to people or how vile, bigoted and racist she and her family was, that she merely denied but never apologized for. That irks me. Now she has sold everyone on nostalgia and a the perfect victim persona she has now that everyone wants to feel bad for, and the white-washing away accountability on her begins.
So…. She was already famous before The Simple Life. She became famous for wearing ridiculously expensive clothes in public and the paparazzi always taking pictures of her because of her style and her influence. But I want to stress, she was famous before the show. She was a STAR before the show.

What I find love is her going from "What's Walmart" to selling pink heart shaped pans and stuff at Walmart 🤣🤣
She knew what Walmart was lol those billionaire nepo babies run in the same circles.
