I can _barely_ sit through a 15 minute video on most things but 47 minutes of Andrew doing almost anything just flies by!
He wastes no time talking but says just enough. That’s a gift
I like how Andrew is patient with what he does; it doesn't matter the task. Small decals to major tread work replacement. One thing at a time, no raging temper tantrums like what I've seen in guys around here. Mom raised him right! 👍
I have none of this equipment but I watched the whole thing because you are so entertaining and you do the work, not just talk about the work. You break a sledge, you fix the sledge. Well done. Love your videos

Same for me, though I operated a Kubota KX 41 mini excavator for about 5 yrs in an underground track gold mine digging drainage ditches and digging forms for the construction crew, it was never a boring job.
When changing fluids, it's a good idea to remove the check plug first to not only provide a vent for faster draining, but to be sure you can refill it to the right level. Thanks for taking the time to make the video!

I don't think there is anyone else in the world who can do what Andrew does in his own shop. Nothing can stop him from fixing the machines. He has patience beyond belief, and doesn't get discouraged. Andrew, we salute you!

Andrew’s patience and positive attitude is why I watch this. It doesn’t seem to matter what happens he takes it with a grain of salt. A lot of others are too negative all the time and I don’t need anymore negativity. Thank you Andrew.

Andrew Camarata has been a very smart boy ever since he was young. The community loves him and his family.
I sure agree about him being smart. I do have to wonder how he has so much knowledge about just about anything. I am probably about twice his age (I am 61) and I wouldn't even know where to begin doing what he has done and what he does now. He's truly a self-made man, and I admire him greatly.

Nick Lawrence there are thousands (maybe tens of thousands) of guys out there doing the same things he is (including myself) he’s just one of the few taking the time to film it and put it on UA-cam.
Of course I'm with you on that and I'm sure there is more than one AC out there ... I can only respond to the video's I see here ... you reminded me though, that he also films and edits like a pro too !!

I have never even sat in an excavator or other heavy machine but love to watch Andrew work these machines. The fact that he can fix all of his machines is a big reason that he is so successful. Keep it coming the subjects are great fixing and using the equipment. What’s not to like ?
I’m a marine mechanic, most of the boats I work on have small Diesel engines like these excavators. Yanmar, Perkins, Universal, Kubota, Volvo (repainted Perkins). The Yanmar engines are the most reliable by far. They are not the smoothest or most refined, but they never break, and always start (as long as they have clean fuel, lol)

I’ve been watching Andrew’s channel on and off for years. I’m a subscriber. I’m back binge watching. I’ve learned a bunch from Andrew. You have to admire a hardworking young fella.

I started watching you videos with skepticism. Ive been an operator for over 17 years and love everything about it. Im absolutely blown away by your ability to purchase, self maintenance, self reliance in order to be as profitable as possible. You are an achievement in your self and I respect everything about you. Such an amazing story. I havent dug deep into your videos, but if you havent done a video about your background of how and why you do what you do, I think that would be a great story to hear.
Watching you make repairs to your equipment reminds me of my time of doing heavy repair, just loved it! I no longer have the chance to do this work anymore, its still fun watching others do it.

I've spent a lifetime doing the sort of things that Andrew does. When his age (and older) I remember thinking why do these old guys move so badly. I can tell you that I now feel every day of those years in back, arm, neck and leg pains. But it really was worth it, I had a lot of fun and don't regret any of it even if my mother was right when she said "you;ll suffer for that when your older" :)
Every time I see Andrew jumping off the machine instead of stepping on the track I think of how much it hurts my legs to do that now.
Ive never seen a fella with a "no quit" work ethic like you. Great job.
This guy is no nonsense, no fluff, no ego, awesome.

some knowledge and the persistence to carry through when shit breaks, or gets tough.. also know when it's out of your expertise like sending away the skidsteer track motor for a rebuild rather than ripping into it, although sometimes as long as you have access to all the rebuild parts needed, knowledge of acceptable tolerances/clearances, and tools -sometimes even tool and die/machining, you can be successful in all ventures!

@@KCBEECH You've never tried tightening a bolt that won't come off? Sometimes it's the trick that works. these obviously were long past becoming hammered dogpoo. I can't imagine running something like that until it siezes up and wears the metal off while wearing a groove into the track.. That's just insane. Then again I guess thats what you get when you buy an excavator with over 8000 hours on it.
You remind me of my late father who was a Blacksmith, welder, mechanic, electrician, Plummer, gas-fitter, inventer, and could fix or re-engineer almost anything. he lived in a farming community where he was the go-to man for repairing anything from a wristwatch to a D9 Cat. Man do I enjoy watching your ability to jump in and fix anything, great show!!!!
My dad was the same way. One of the best summers I ever had was working with him at his excavation business when I was in college. He drove the backhoe, I drove the dump truck. Tearing down buildings, putting in septic tanks and leach fields, gravel driveways, fences, built a little bridge. He wouldn't let me use the backhoe on jobs (not enough experience), but he let me play with it on our property. I think I missed my calling.
I am getting a mini-ex in the near future and learned 100x more from this video than I did from the "things to look for when buying an excavator" videos... Great job and great content as always Andrew! 1M here we come!

love your videos, I just learned so much, I have your same Kubota kx121-3, a case 430, and a gradall. seeing you put the track back on the Minix with the bucket just opened my eyes, Ive been using my other machines to lift and set the track in place wen it cowboys off, but now I know how a real operator does it.
Nice too see a younger guy who is firstly prepared to work with older kit and not run up huge debts buying new....and so keen to see things serviced and tidied up.... well done good work 👍👍

It's true, I subscribe to more than 150 UA-cam channels of very varied subject matter and only in Andrew's I get to see videos of more than 20 minutes, I find them very long, but this channel is great and all are short, I want more!

Yanmar, follows KISS, keep it simple stupid. I worked on sailboat engines just out of high school and Yanmar made the most sensible designed engines I came across. Unbelievable, engineers that designed things so they do not break and when they do, they can actually be fixed. Keep up the good work, I love your videos, I always learn something new, thank you.

Andrew Camarata torches off the bad bolts from a Yanmar B37 excavator in order to replace the seized-up track rollers. The new rubber tracks and the new track rollers took over the old rubber tracks and the old track rollers.

Just sold my grey market Mitsubishi MS035 and bought a domestic Yanmar SV40. I haven't had a chance to really use it yet, but it's loaded with computer electronics, plus heat, A/C, six-way blade, and stereo. The jury is still out. Love all your videos.
I am a retired mechanic that spent 20 years racing cars in Europe.....I now live in the tropics of Far North Queensland Australia. So I have absolutely nothing in common with the temperature that Andrew works in but everything in common with recognising that he is a true gun tradesman. Love your videos mate.

That gear oil looked really gooey. Good idea to change it.

Came up in my feed and saw I hadn't given it a like so I knew I hadn't watched it.
The only thing he did wrong from what I could see was the bolts on the rollers were to short and no anti-sieze on them where they go thru area along with no locktight on the threads.
Anti-sieze & lock washers on the roller set he got from china as well.
Other than that his videos are facinating to watch.
Especially the container Castle build series.
That was a seriously awesome series.
