The Coast was my first piece of Eurorack gear in 2017. Never looked back! The LPG/VCA has such a distinctive timbre, I tried to recreate it with other Make Noise modules, but didn't succeed. It is a one of a kind synth!
Yeah the envelope has a unique snap to it! I’ve considered selling mine before, silly thoughts. I will never sell it. I usually create some loops and samples with it and then work with those in Ableton to really bring out some harmonics
Yes, that's exactly how I feel about it too
big tnx! four sample pack ! its great!
Gosh this thing sounds so good. Excellent demo.
Loving it!
Nice 👍
That’s some nice bleep-bloop-bleepin’ … 😎👍🏼
Felix + my favorite synth = 🔥
❤
Been thinking about getting the Strega to pair with my Minifreak do you think the 0coast would complement the Minifreak as well?
Any way to get the o-coast samples as wav files? 😊
The Coast was my first synthesizer. I sold it 2 months later because I just couldn't get my head around it. I still think a dozen cables make a terrible mess.
Although the layout looks very complicated it's actually fairly simple. To use it as a stand alone synth you don't really need to patch anything. As you can see I didn't actually use a single patch cable in this video because I was just working with the envelope and the overtone controls in order to get everything that I wanted.
Thanks for quick review. And for those first three minutes of ugly timbre. I struggle with on various synths. It is like sound from the bucket. Can you distinguish it? and maybe shed some light on its nature
What do you mean exactly regarding the 3 minutes of ugly timbre?
@@felixfleer4507 oh, thank you for your reply. Ok, I try to elaborate on timbre and be more specific. At 01:00 you can hear this overtone and it even more intensive with effect three seconds later. It sounds unpleasant for me and I struggle to eleminate it in my sound design
@@user-cy3do4xc2c I think it must be a matter of personal taste than. I personally really like how it sounds for deep techno sounds or other abstract and futuristic sounds, but depending on what kind of a vibe you are going for other synths might be better suited.
