I agree to this, Noelle turning finally into the White Knight of Favonius by completing her Hangout Questline is so long overdue ..shes the only character so far from all, which has had even a second Hangout Part, that prepared her for her becoming somewhen finally a true knight of Favonius, which receives as celebration gift hopefully then a new white knight skin/star rate upgrade together with a new kind of paladinesque Claymore Sword that is then part of an Event around her Knighthood, that fits to her being a new Guardian of Mondstadt. As mentioned above, alone from a storytelling view point there is alot of potential in upgradign all the characters over time. certain story quest lines havent been touched and continued by MHY in freaking 3 years since release day, its really ridiculous ...
Ningguang definitely need a glow up considering she’s the only authority of a nation that is a 4 star. Monstadt has Jean, inazuma has Yae and Ayato, Sumeru has Alhaitham and now Fontaine has Neuvilette.
The interesting thing is how "Awakened" characters went from a staple in every MHY game (Honkai Gakuen 2 and Honkai Impact 3 being filled with the same characters with multiple versions) to a novelty in HSR and then being completely absent in Genshin.
the thing i wish they could’ve done is something like a 2 in 1 character for lyney and lynette or make them have like a joint burst when on the same party. That would make combat more interesting imo. i was kinda dissapointed when i found out they dont really synergize with each other
If there's one thing Genshin needs to get right as the game becomes older, it's actually implementing the quality of life updates players want. One thing I hope that will get implemented is for resin cap to be increased to 180 instead or 200. Having a 180 resin cap would basically match HSR's 240 cap for trailblaze power in terms of having the maximum limit match the amount you can regenerate in one day. That would do wonders for players who are busy and have limited time to play the game but still want to maximize what resources they can get for their characters.
@@demonking-zm3rs Still better than having to log in twice a day to fully use the resin. Additional 20 resin won't really be an issue because if you farm fast enough that's basically an extra 2-3 minutes in the game and that adds up in resources over time. From experience typical daily grind routine of doing commissions, resending expeditions, and burning resin (w/o turning it into condensed) is about 30-45 minutes. Adding 2-3 minutes to that is a drop in the bucket (which would be even less if you're just farming the same domain).
Genshin already increased it's resin cap once so I don't think they're gonna do it again, but who knows, maybe they will increase it once again if we pressure the devs enough lol
@@gamin546 Yeah I sometimes get this thought as well that they won't increase it again since they've already done so once. It's just disappointing to think about it sometimes that HSR got to a 24 hour limit for its trailblaze power first before Genshin's resin. And funny enough for me HSR is the more low maintenance game than Genshin thanks to auto-battle. Also interesting side note. HSR originally had 180 limit which is actually worse in terms of percentage of daily cap you can regenerate to (75% in 180/240 compared to Genshin's 89% in 160/180).
i have always enjoyed honkai characters having many battlesuits cuz it lets older characters to still be in the meta and let them get character development and im so happy that star rail did it too
@@bibuleThey’re talking about Honkai Impact, not Honkai Star Rail. Honkai Impact is older than Genshin (though admittedly I don’t know how much, I believe it’s so old they’ve managed to finish the main storyline)
exactly and you never had to be like "I wish Kiana or Bronya could be good..." because they always will be due to battleskins plus it keeps a smaller cast for development
If you want to talk about new versions of existing characters you should take your inspiration not from Star Rail, but from Honkai Impact 3rd. There alternate versions of the same character are most of the time the same character but unlocking new powers according to story progression. Like Bronya -> Herrscher of Reason -> Herrscher of Truth -> APHO adult Bronya (and a lot of other forms in between, including Silver Wolf)
Yeah that's what I was thinking and it's why I'm unsure of them doing it anytime soon. We've had all of this stuff in Honkai Impact for years so it's not like they don't know how to do it. Still I've always maintained hope that certain characters will get a Delusion or Archon form.
Meh the battlesuit system is a beast unto itself and hsr in this case is a much better point of comparison with how many cues it takes from genshin already
I don't remember exactly how it worked, haven't played in years, but I think there was a way to "awaken" some old battlesuits like Mei and unlock new skills and even a new skin. That would be great, but... money.
If there's one thing I want in awakening for HSR and Genshin is that I want them to be similar to HI3. For HI3 if you already leveled up a character to lvl 80 and maxed out their skill tree (traces and talents) Those will carry over to the awakened version of the character. Meaning you only have to worry about artifacts/relics and weapons/lightcones.
5:16 just to clarify Childe’s delusion has nothing to do with his foul legacy transformation It’s an abyssal power tht let’s him use both his vision and delusion at once
Correction his foul legacy is martial art his riptide and his swords-spear are form from it , his electro delusion and hydro vision only provide the element and can be used at the same time Anyway
@@vergil9981 ?im confused his vision and delusion are visible at the same time only when he’s transformed He’s only “going all out” when he’s using his delusion And the only time he’s using both is when he transforms It doesn’t take rocket science to get Wht tht implies
Btw, no, Lunae is not a different person from Dan Heng Dan Feng and Dan Heng are different people who have inhabited the same body, but the title of Inbibitor Lunae belongs to all incarnations of that body. Lunae is just Dan embracing his title and using the power that comes with it. Same person still
Nah, Dan Heng has always had that power. He is just afraid of using it because of his past being a sinner and exile. He transformed before "accepting" his Lunae title.
My most wanted feature is actually the quest switching one, in star rail, instead of getting the 'npc x is busy completing quest y' line that you get in genshin, it just switches the character over for the other quest, which is sooooo good! I can't tell you how many times I was trying to do a quest and this thing took me out of my immersion and made me lose interest in the other storyline. I hate it so much
They also straight up let multiple story npcs inhabit the same space so you can progress two different quests by talking to both of them without having it have to unload and reload the area. I suppose it's the difference between an open world and more restricted game but it can't be that hard... right?
I'd be surprised if we ever got any alternate versions of characters in Genshin. The only one I can see them doing is some sort of awakened Traveler that you'd get to play during the final boss fight of the story, but would have to pull from a limited banner if you wanted to use them anywhere else.
I don't see Mihoyo doing ANYTHING fun for genshin at this point. They make a region ever like 10 updates and everything between then is either mediocre or outright bland and the units they drop aren't anything crazy
@@justinflores3771 You sure sound quite negative about the game.. Please tell me you don't bother playing anymore. If you're not having fun, then what's the point, right?
I feel like Genshin can do something like Augments in Honkai Impact. In Honkai, it means you farm [x] amount of materials to unlock 1/5* of the core, you get entirely different abilities/attack patterns/voice lines. Over time, you farm more of the materials to get 5/5* of the core and you get more upgrades. Of course Genshin’s system is wayy different to Honkai’s, however with a bit of tweaking it could work? Maybe changing the weapon/element type? Like Childe could be a contender? Regardless I love ‘ascension’ characters - ESPECIALLY if there’s many of them. It really tells a story without telling you explicitly. Kiana from Hi3 is a prime example that comes to my head first thing. The sheer difference in White Comet and Herrscher of Flamescion is crazy and makes me feel like a mother XD
If they're ever making 4 stars into 5 stars, it's gotta be Kaeya who deserves it the most. Mainly because he's got massive lore importance and because he's got that 5 star feel to him. Man, that would be sick.
It's honestly quite simple, add a new skill for level 100 Make that skill better with newer weapons And just like that, you essentially can make people reroll for older chars
Gacha-only signature weapons especially at a max level system that introduce additional skills, is just freaking PRI-arm fiascos again which requires burning multiple gacha-tier weapons just to level up a insanely op weapon compare the stats of weapons before PRI-arms were introduced to PRI-arms and thar non-pri-arm counterparts in honkai impact 3rd. The stat value gap is just retardedly huge. This is why i enjoy another eden doing a much better idea by making ALL WEAPONS, non-gacha and its only characters you gacha for, you have to do various contents including super bosses, Farming the regular game world, farming Another Dungeons and various other side quests to get strong weapons in Another Eden and it works out because the gacha is kept to a simple manner and because it goes such it can run multiple character banners whether they are paid or free without a hitch of spending fatigue for those who normally spend in gacha games. I`m not spending on A.E. but i certainly am able to keep up and catch up with the game insanely fast due to its approach to handling gacha, acquisition of gacha currency and its alternative means to get numerous characters`s alternative forms if you acquire atleast ONE VERSION of that character already. @@anadaere6861
The `Torus` material can be acquired thru other game modes and burning weapons hat were originally gacha and can be made with materials, but since every single unit each month gets a new weapon, on top of sometimes 2 units being released in the same month or a unit and a Divine key, the number of them were always much more then you could farm without making use of `premium` pursuits like extensive gacha burning trash weapons, the battle pass and so on. Unless you out-right skip a weapon here and there which usually is not the best case if you want to keep up with competitive modes,, it would be rather difficult to keep up with said pacing. Which is an extra irony considering said competitive modes reward you with additional crystals, meaning extra scalp room for more pulls to get said gacha done more to get what you need. This is why it was just an extra layer of grind fatigue because spenders dominated more and free to players without absurdly high luck suffered even further. The ultimate point is that Mihoyo games in general never leave a patch without FOMO and Genshin and Star rails only get partially away from it because they run alot more banners and have the grind pressure more on the artifacts/relic chase fatigue in addition to the `talent upgrade materials` instead of directly centered around gacha and competitive fatigue. @@anadaere6861
The awakened units thing seems very nice and very good for players that like a specific four star that isn't that good but I don't know if Hoyoverse could implement that any time soon they got a way of planning the game events and world quests and logistics and I feel like it would take them a while to create unique gameplay and different attributes of personality and storyline for these awakened characters.
I don't believe that ascended characters should be a thing in Genshin unless it's for a free character. People would feel ripped off, imagine pulling for a 5 star Venti and then you see an ascended version of him that rips the universe with his blackhole and does some cool shit. A lot of people would feel cheated. It worked in Star Rail, because they did with Dan Heng who is a free character and if implemented in Genshin it should be the same thing. Ascended Kaeya or Barbara, at most they could ascend the standard 5 star characters like Qiqi.
I feel like Ningguang was made into a 4 star only because it would be difficult to justify people to pull for Zhongli and Albedo when they first released
I’ve been thinking about this with making a catalyst Dehya that plays like Heizou. Maybe another feature they could borrow from star rail is letting you use one of your friends’ characters as a support unit. It might even help boost sales if you can try a new character with actual good artifacts against enemies that don’t die when you look at them.
Your first point is already done in HI3rd which I do not understand why they refuse to do it in GI. HI3RD has a set playable cast of characters that has actual meaning to the story progression and every now and then, these characters get a plot powerup. For GI, what other candidate would be a great fit with the Traveler? Diluc!! Since he has major beef with the Fatui and Abyss Order .. it would absolutely make 1000% sense for Diluc to get an plot powerup or in this case, a totally new and motivated moveset and travel with the Traveler and find their sibling as well as kick some Fatui and Abyss Order arses to protect Monstat from the shadows. Diluc also deals with his Winery business and his previous Avenger arc so he already has a fairshare knowledge of Teyvat as whole to help the Traveler in the longrun.
I actually kinda expected this to be a thing by now since I see that a lot with gachas in general and with this being a 3d one it could be done to save on resources. Would be interesting to see delusion Diluc or Childe, the archons using their full power or 4* versions of 5* and vice versa that take on a different fighting style/weapon type.
"The archons taking on their full power" has definitely piqued my interest. Technically, all the playable archons are without their gnoses, and (in the story) that makes them weaker in combat. The archons are all some of the best units in the game and definitely don't need buffs like other characters- but the idea of a point in the story where they all get their gnoses back before the Tsaritsa can use them for her plan, and they all collectively kick her ass together, and then hoyo releases "awakened" versions of them that are damn near unstoppable... there's a lot of reasons why they wouldn't/shouldn't do that, but I can't say I'm not interested. As a die hard archon collector and Zhongli simp specifically, the idea of getting to play as Zhongli-with-his-gnosis one day is literally my dream scenario now
@@tomboy2980 If Genshin was any other gacha then improved versions of already powerful units would've been a thing by now due to eventual power creep. But so far Hoyoverse have been doing things very differently, preferring to release artifact sets and units that that buff older ones such as the clam set for Kokomi and Faruzan for anemo dps. The health pool of Spiral Abyss have been steadily increasing. So maybe by the time it gets too hard like in a couple of years they'll start increasing how much you can invest in characters and release awakened version of select ones like the Archons which wouldn't break the game too much.
Well in Honkai Impact they normally release different forms of the same character. Normally it is because of a powerup in the story or in an event that is not canon. In Genshin by story we have 2 characters that can have a different form, Child since he actually uses different weapons and the bow is actually the weapon he is worse at weapon efficiency, the fact he has an electro delusion and his transformation that could be a new element (abyss/Quantum). Kaeya could also have a abyss/quantum element in the future because his connection to Khaenria.
Imagine we get the Travelers true form when they were fighting Asmoday (Unknown God), they are so powerful in lore that they can solo everything in Teyvat
Awakened Albedo would be incredible. I've always thought that Albedo would've been such an incredible character had he been literally any other element, and I feel like Albedo has the most depth in terms of lore (besides the archons and scaramouche) that he'd be one of the best candidates for awakening. His kit has also gotten incredibly outdated over time, and his best weapons are either a world drop three-star or an event four-star that's no longer obtainable, so it'd be nice to see him get some more love in the future - potentially with his own actual signature weapon. _as well as his hair getting fluffed up, but that's another rant_
Exactly! (Also hello there fellow Chalk Prince enjoyer, he deserves more love) Mans is extremely lore relevant, has a lot of development and he has the power of ALCHEMY. It’d be awesome for hoyoverse to release another version of him with a different element as like an upgrade (Lore Accurate Albedo. Hell yeah) We already know that Dainsleif might bring a new element to the table when he releases if that bundle of madness in place of his element in his character card is anything to go off of, so maybe Lore Accurate Albedo could be the same element as Dainsleif if he’s a thing. Better yet: release the sus twin from 2.3 as a unit as well, and if a player has the original Albedo, then the sus twin can add onto him as a two-in-one unit like we originally thought Lyney and Lynette prior to release! I have no idea how the code for that would work, it might even be impossible, but one can dream
I think Chongyun could have a sort of power up, from voicelines it is implied that he started training with Shenhe so maybe having him as a 5 stars being able to use adepti powers would be cool
One thing that I don't see brought up much but is likely eventually going to be in Genshin is more accessible 4 stars. Honkai Impact 3rd for example has valkyries (HI3rd equivalent of Genshin characters) available from the asterite store, and it's surprisingly easy to get enough asterite to unlock them. Also surprising is that the available valkyries aren't just bottom tier filler, many of them are top tier meta units and many of them are also quite recent. This is pretty logical in a game as old as HI3rd, where power creep has started to set in and they need to keep the game fresh for old established players but also not make it completely inaccessible for prospective new players (the sensory overload you get trying to navigate it for the first time does that job instead). For reference, HI3rd is almost 7 years old now, and GI is almost 3 years now. Maybe in about a year we'll see something like that added to GI.
i actually though about this before, there are character in the lore *like kaeya* who are supposedly as strong as diluc, but in game kaeya is still a 4* with a somewhat outdated kit, so what if they introduced a 5* kaeya who is up to date and stronger? i think it would he a good idea
@@nonamepasserbya6658 maybe they could use a rework too. but we're mainly referencing kaeya because we alredy have an idea of how underwhelming his game version is compared to his manga version who is next to diluc in terms of strength
I think one of the biggest reasons we won't see altered forms of characters in Genshin is due to how visions work. Characters have their kits and elements based on their past actions and a gift "from above" (whether it's the archon, Celestia, we don't know for sure). People don't get multiple visions, and losing your vision changes a person drastically. Now they could definitely retcon things to make it so someone CAN have multiple visions, or if they want to introduce Delusions as a playable thing, it's certainly possible, but... I don't really see it happening. If Noelle were to get a cool 5 star version, she'd likely just be a stronger version of her base form - a geo DPS/healer/shielder. It wouldn't really make sense for her to somehow lose her Geo vision and gain an Anemo vision (or insert other element).
THAT said, I would love to see it happen. I would love for some characters get more usability - Dehya and Candace quickly come to mind. Great characters that I love, but do not use because their abilities just... aren't great. Plus with Fontaine doing its whole "lose HP to gain power" gimmick, Electro Delusion Childe would make perfect sense - give this form a sort of constant HP drain a la Xiao's burst, make him polearm instead of bow, and it's instantly a very different feel from normal Childe.
It was already nice that Dan in his regular form is really solid for a starter/Freebie unit so having his other self being this demigod of destruction both in lore and in gameplay is just neat.
For the conversion thing - it can work like the cooking mechanic. You need to get at least a certain number of the material in order of fit to be converted from another one.
Playing Genshin for the first time in months and it's just insane how many things they implemented to seemingly just waste our time. Why do we need to wait 3 minutes inbetween each boss attempt?
10:10 Now that I built a good pc, yes. Before that, going to a domain, finishing spending resin, exiting domain, going to crafting bench, going back to domain, entering domain, could easily take up to 5-10 minutes, not counting clearing the domain itself. They should either make it so we can access the crafting table from the menu, or make it so I can open the map after I finish clearing a domain and choose where to terleport, and make it so when choosing a domain on the map, I can choose to enter it, instead of teleporting to it.
i still think adding a final ascension to level 100 (and a corresponding ascension talent) can help some weaker characters get buffed, or for the stronger characters that dont need any help, add a new way to play them or utility for the team or something. let klee’s burst stay even after she leaves the field so she can apply pyro, etc etc. since dan heng IL was revealed ive been thinking about which genshin characters could get the same treatment, and i think it could be super fun
After hydro MC came out I was thinking that the traveler should be able to “master” the elements after they get every constellation for each one, for hydro it would turn the water gun into: when you tap the button you enter an aimed mode and each tap after sends out a big water bullet that deals about the same damage as the old tap and when you hold down the button you use both hands and start to charge a kamehameha of water. As for the burst, instead of a glob of water that just… goes… you raise your hands to the sky and build up a massive amount of water that you then send crashing to the ground, making a omnidirectional tsunami of water to deal massive damage and hard knock down all but huge enemies.
Alters can be tricky in genshin, i would love the idea but with visions being irrepleceable it doesn't really leave room for variety asides from aestethics.
One feature I really like about HSR is the support. This feature allows the player to use a stranger's character in grinding places. Using a character that someone else has already finished building really helps grind materials faster, and it's fun to be able to use characters that I haven't managed to pull yet.
although I agree, the reason why HSR has it is because there isn't a true "co-op" experience like Genshin. At least in Genshin you can invite a friend to play with you within your world
@@SilencePandaa Yeah, but wouldn't it be better to be able to test a character in a real battle scenario and see how they work with your own units so that you can decide if you wanna pull for this character or not ? Because let's be honest, character trials don't teach us a damn thing about how the character actually plays out in real battle scenarios
Fr, that'll be amazing for new players when doing a domain like those in Mondstatd, they could use Ayaka from their friends to help them farm in that hell
I'd love to have different versions of characters in genshin like with Dan Heng. I think it's such a good and easy way to have a form of character growth. Can't wait to see what hsr does with it. Seems to me like a middle point between hi3 and genshin where characters can have different kits/forms but at the same time I don't see them releasing more than one for a single character like they do in honkai
I can see with the release of fountain and its HP draining mechanic releasing a delision childe will work very well especially while making it similar to the lore
This is just setting up an Electro Kazuha, It's so cool that he was able to channel the dead vision power. Although he is already often used, it may not make sense to make a second version of him.
If i was the genshin devs id introduce some form of memory pass (an item that allows you to re experience old events as if they are new permanent content but unless you buy them you get very few (like 1 or two per patch (this actual cost also allows you to get all the events rewards)
to be fair i'm not against some elemental changes for genshin "awakened" forms, a electro wanderer or anemo shogun-bot would be crazy. maybe make most awakenings just kit fixes (like dehya, xinyan, amber, qiqi, etc) but make a few others (those with lore reasons) for element change with a toggleable option.
they can atleast begin by giving standard 5* something like maybe a level 100 ascension with a kit rehaul for them and like make it grindy af for all i care but if that makes those dead charas back to relevancy i am all for it. they did this hi3 as well
I got no faith on Hoyo giving rewards from past events that I missed, but as someone who started playing in 3.4/3.5 I would love to play events for the story. I want to see Scaramouche, Fischl or Albedo introductions. Know more about Dragonspine and probably other things that I dont know about. Also it would keep me playing for longer since sadly I explored most of the world and I dread the fact that I now have to wait for patches even if I want to keep playing.
Fischl literally doesn't have lore outside of events and Albedo has got a lot of character development throught events and Scaramouche doesn't exist until you reach Inazuma, so of course events should be added, at least for that! IDK, they could turn them into story quests, giving some meh rewards but being there for the sake of character development.
@@Gabriel_custodio195 Exactly. I had to look up who they were or where they came from the first time I saw them in game and the traveler/Paimon were like "good to see you gain". Like I said I have no faith on Hoyo giving free stuff, I just want the content.
2 to 5 ideas are interesting but the first one is a HEAVY pass. 1. ANY character can be useful in any manor, even Abyss. it just comes down to player creativity and planning. 2. As far as I know Dang is the only one to do this but having Inazuma till the newest region getting new forms would be just for money and it's pointless. Personally speaking, four versions of any favorite unit would get tedious and boring imo.
I definitely hope they make an Kheanri’ahn Prince Kaeya as his awakened form because I feel like his lore has been building up to it and I feel like it would only make sense that he would have a form that has powers like Dainsleif.
I think the idea of awakened characters have specific lore implications In the short term, it could work with only the archons (maybe not all) because we know from the archon war an some bosses that they can achieve more (or at least a different) power since the source of the rest of the cast comes almost exclusively from their visions, they would need to understand how those visions truly work or at least their true purpose, and that could be discovered most likely at the end of the story or maybe in a hypothetical second part after the twins reunion
A lot of us want Hoyo to increase the Resin cap, have artifact loadouts and etc which are the common QoL upgrades that their playerbase wanted. What I want Genshin to have is a Simulated Universe-like content, the Abyss is getting stale now with the bi-monthly grind of beating it just for the sake of a few primos and mora. Imagine a weekly content like that in which we battle hordes of enemies with buffs/debuffs, the prize could be primos for achievements, fragile resins, or even make it as a way to get previous event exclusive weapons that a lot of new players missed.
all i want is the quality of life features, specifically the resin cap increase to 240 like in star rail and an upgraded artifact strong box which lets you choose which piece from you chosen artifact set you want.
Nothing of this will happens. All we know how fanatically they against any character/wepon buffs and QoL improvement. Can't even imagine what happened that made them make underground area map.
I would kill my wallet for a five star Kaeya. Lore important events should be at least archived so that you can see a condensed version of the story. Especially since Genshin doesn’t give you multiple endings to choose from by playing.
Instead of any QoL changes I think it’s a lot more urgent for them to start worrying about how to make the game’s storage size smaller, they’ve already started on mobile by allowing you to delete files from previous quests but I still don’t know why this isn’t a part of the pc and ps4/5 versions, unless they plan on releasing it later on
Obvious ones like Childe or Kazuha aside I'd love to Zhongli after he's shaken off the dust and have him wield a different weapon in a more aggro kit. Same with Ei. More importantly tho I'd love to see Noelle finally knighted, and Qiqi get her canon strength.
Something I would like to see implemented to HSR from Genshin is having a "pet" that accompanies you. We'll be getting something like that with Topaz and her pet/partner-in-crime space trotter Numby, but imagine how adorable it would be to have Peppy or Diting following us around?
Number 1: Resin that takes 24 hours to be full. Why star rail has that in the new update but genshin doesnt? Sometimes you cant login twice every day. If the resin was 180 instead of 160 It would be so much better. Thats not even an increase, we already get 180 daily If we use resin twice a day.
I hope it never happens, like, genshin sells more than skills, they sell stories, you can tell by how detailed their character voice lines are when compared to HSR The only way it can work is for "future" (imposible, this isn't honkai multiverse) or "past" versions, so you get a new story for a perspective that you don't have in the OG character Example: Zhong Li in the archon war, but for almost everyone else it doesn't work, it'll be a copy-paste of low quality effort
Honestly I really like the ideas of alternative versions of characters we already have, it will slow down the ever increase roster of characters that the game has to balance throughout it's story and can be used to make less used characters better. But I don't think they would due to how this game banners work since if a character has a banner they appear in the story with very few exceptions and I don't see many characters that can have a alternative version since it will probably be mostly 4* and standard 5* characters since if they make one of a limited 5* they have no real way to have the old version ever come back within reason
I always wanted a new Kaeya character once/if we get to Khaenri'ah. For one of the most lore revalent characters to be a free 4 star is a little odd. Plus it would be awesome to see some payoff for all the intrigue built up around his character.
I would hate it if Hoyoverse introduced awakened/variations of characters to Genshin. It's just a cheap way to introduce new characters for players to roll for and it ruins the character themselves for me. While it does make his character more interesting, I will always think of and prefer Dan Heng as Dan Heng and not his Vidyadhara form since that is how he was first introduced and I think it should stay that way. I'm not saying that I'm close-minded on strengthening and changing characters in the story, however I simply don't like that they made an entire new character for players to obtain. I'd honestly hate it if they suddenly came in with a new Eula who is a non-physical dmg user or turned Hu Tao into a support character or something. Also what about Archons? Are they just going to be power crept by strengthened versions of characters from their respective elements or do you want to introduce new versions of them to keep the balance? Standard 5 stars are (unfortunately) supposed to be weaker than limited time characters anyways, and besides it's not like they're unplayable. If you really want these buffs, I think it would be more sensible to introduce a way of changing the character's kit, or making them stronger a special story mission you can complete to unlock a buff or something along these lines. Introducing gameplay variations of characters seems like a cool idea, but honestly I'd rather the skins and just adding new characters since they provide more to the story and freshness of the game. Besides, I believe it'd be a smarter idea to focus on the actual story itself considering it contributes even more to how well received the game is. A lot of the times it is a BORE to listen to especially with the travellers "illusion of choice" dialogue options and Paimon's rephrasing of every little thing.
One other benefit of getting multiple battlesuits/transformations/awakenings of older characters would be the positive effect it would have on the story and writing. Currently, we have a LOT of characters in the game, but only a handful of them have had more than a day in the spotlight of the story, and almost none (with the exception of Scaramouche) have even had a tangible character developement arc. If instead of oversaturating the cast with dozens of new characters every expansion, we got only a couple of them, but each played a larger role in the story and had their own ongoing journey of growth, perhaps Genshin's writing wouldn't feel so much like a... really long series of disjointed sidequests. I think one of the things that Honkai Impact does infinitely better than the younger games is getting players attached to the cast and invested in their continued story. Despite a smaller cast, it's able to leverage the identity of its characters to an extent impossible to achieve by Genshin's ever-inflating ensemble of novel but ultimately transient characters who are doomed to be forgotten as the story moves out of their respective regions.
They need more outfits! Seems like easy money, they could introduce 3 star outfits as well that are just alternate colors, and traveler definitely needs something his belly shirt is not doing it for me. It seemed fitting at first but in Fontaine where everyone is overdressed it look’s especially odd.
Another thing they could do is Ascendant Forms,In which upon reaching certain conditions unique to each character, they'll be able to be ascended further in which you can also consume materials to evolve each skill they have into an upgraded version of the previous one,for example you could have Ganyu's Charged Attack have the frostflake arrow first strike be the Aoe,and the actual Frostflake bloom be a even Stronger cryo nuke or even her burst could be upgraded in which it could also spawn auto targetting projectiles within it's AoE,it'd be a way to breathe a new life into characters without having to gacha even more for a character you technically already have.
7:49 it would definitely take resources to keep an old event up even if it’s just some tester checking once a month that the stuff still runs, but I did think of a compromise. Genshin could charge primogems for you to get an older build of the game (or play with cloud gaming) for JUST THAT EVENT, then the crown of insight or event weapon is mailed to you after the event. It’s financially viable for the company as people could whale for older event weapons like to minmax Albedo.
A unique equipment system could be a good way to improve old characters. In Blue archive some units have a unique equipment that can be acquired by leveling up relationship, this equipment first refinement just gives some stat boost but the last one improves one skill, this could be given to outdated characters so when they eventually get a rerun there's more insensitive to pull them if you're willing to spend the materials
All the talk about awakened units and other game comparisons and not even a mention of honkai impact, which have been constantly doing awakened units for 6 years. I knows Vars didn't play honkai impact but a quick google search about another hoyoverse game won't hurt
for the material conversion one i agree bc i didnt know about the dust to convert gem types so i farmed pyro cube for pyro drops dont ask so i have 32 pyro cube drops and no desire to get yoimiya (my thoma is already maxed). id LOVE to convert them to something else. but another way to prevent players from just always converting is maybe making it so you have to actually pick up One of the item so its in your archive? like you cant convert mond to sumeru if you didnt pick up at least one or X amount of the sumeru specialty already. alter characters are smth arknights introduced a year or two ago and its a good idea! arknights does either "what if" scenarios for a character or its like character growth and moving them forward in their personal character arc. (we did get a few for the sake of More LImiteds we ignore those theyre lame). so someone like noelle for example - she could finally become a knight! or ningguang actually getting a 5s bc its insane a person in her position is a 4s while half of our 5s are charas who do literally nothing.
there is something in other gaccha games that seem to match what we are asking for, example is dragon ball legends, when a character starts to reach the 1.5 to 2 years of age, it will recieve a zenkai, which basically revives the character and gives them new uniques and uses. it would be great if they added that in genshin, just call it Genesis awakening or something
I really do hope they add something like the SMR; even if you get terrible substats, you can remove 2-3 layers of RNG from the artifact grind which will save A LOT of time even if you get terrible substats without using the strong box and without including all the RNG of rolling substats, you already have to deal with the RNG of which set you get from a domain, AND the RNG of which piece, AND the RNG of which main stat with the strongbox, you can cut out the RNG of which set you get, but you're still stuck with the RNG of what piece you get, what main stat you get, AND all the layers of RNG from rolling substats for like the past year I've been going through and maxing out non-meta characters I could possibly see myself having fun using, but I'm catching up to the point where the only thing left is getting them all relics; and that is a terrifyingly daunting task, just imagining all the work it'd take to get them with at least useable sets sounds awful; if there was something like the SMR, then that'd be able to save me A LOT of headache and I would be content leaving them with proper sets with proper main stats and just leaving their substats as is
one of my favorite mobile games, magia record (which has now been shut down outside of japan) had this limit break feature where whenever they updated a character, you would be able to limit break them into a higher rarity, so 5 stars can become 6 stars and 4 stars can become 5 stars, but they were rolled out in slower updates to allow players to have some time to make the upgrade, i think this is fitting for genshin as it could transform some previously non meta characters into having some viability today, whilst not changing the character's element or playstyle too much, just enough to feel like its the same character but better
An artifact mainstat picker (or even mainstat changer!) Would be *amazing*. I didnt realize Starrail only fave then out like once a month whicu is very unfortunate; somerying like that should pribably be once a week, with additi8nal from events. They could even be rewardsfor some kind of late game grind; some kind of endless dungeon or domain that you can do ad nauseum if wanted, or just a few times a week/month. Off-topic,but even a late game grind that all it did was take time off your expeditions would be nice. Youd get Mora, Crystals, or whatever youd like from expeditions, while offering more gameplay than just the "30 minutes a day" model.
About the character power up thing. I always thought it would be cool to see underpowered characters going on a quest and finding a second ambition, making them receive a second vision with a new moveset, but on the same character model we know and love, and also that second vision being received in a different region (or not) with a different element (or not) somewhere on the character's model. Then the player could choose which elemental skill and elemental burst the character could use, since they have 2 visions now, it would be weird to just exclude the other vision and vice versa. Or, just go with the second weapon option. For example, I like Ganyu, but her being a bow user drives me away from pulling for her, because doing charged bow attacks is slow and boring, so It would be cool if the game had an option to make her a catalyst user in addition to her bow option, so she could use her ball thingy some more. her kit would remain the same, but only the normal attack talent, and any skill related to her normal attack would be different. And hey, Mihoyo could sell more signature weapons if they did that, albeit if they improved on that god awful "3rd times the charm or get lucky" bs. TLDR; give underpowered characters 2 visions to customize and worldbuild them some more, or give characters secondary weapons so players could enjoy other playstyles if the first one doesn't satisfy them with the same character they like, OR DO THEM BOTH!
It's insane to me how much comparing to Genshin Starrail respects your time and you yourself as a player. I mean for crying out loud Genshin can't even be bothered to do something as simple for the community as changing the loading screen from blinding white to dark meanwhile Starail boosts their equivalent of Resin to 240 just because. How many times did Starrail gave us free 10 pulls? Multiple times and the game is only few months old. Meanwhile Genshin does this only once/year during anniversary. Like seriously it's hard for me to believe that Genshin and Starrail have booth been developed by the same company.
Thinking for the longevity of characters that after ascending a character to their final ascension and level 90, maybe use commission keys (especially if all story and hangouts are complete), you can unlock a specially crafted challenge domain to unlock a new talent. Like test the limits of the character to unlock this new talent. Though you still only have two on a character at any one time, it would add more incentive to ascend more characters and try out older ones and even new ones. These talents can ONLY be interchanged at a Statue of the Seven like the traveller has to resonate so no switching out in battle. Example: New talent for Zhongli could be 'Decrease burst area by 30% but enemies that are pretrified will take an additional 20% damage'. Beidou could have 'If an enemy is defeated with her Tidecaller counter attack then the shield remains active on Beidou for 7 seconds (Requires Constellation 1 Sea Beast's Scourge)'. Diluc could have "Follow up attack to a recently staggered enemey deals 25% additional damage" "Diluc 4th consective Tempered Sword, if infused with Dawn's pryo infusion and if an enemy is hit (no effect if target is missed), will deal pyro damage to enemies behind or maybe adjacent to the primary target enemy. Would bring more than one playstyle to a character whilst also encourage even more synergy between characters and what they offer the team. Would help older characters and new ones... but it does mean Hoyo would have to look at their older content, Hoyo doesn't seem to want to revisit old content that has already made them money as a new shiny thing will attract a player more over than an old thing that has been touched up or repainted. I believe there is a live service law for in China or something that prevent some of this stuff like buffs, though it depends what you count as adding instead of changing. Guessing we taking the same with Pokemon where all that matters 'in with the new and out with the old'.
More expesition slots would be awesome. We still have only 5 slots since the beginning, even after 3 new regions, with all of them being mich bigger than Mondstand and Liyue combained. Also after Liyue there isnt a place to farm minerals, like why? Both Inazuma and Fontaine have new ones that would be good to get a bit of a boost when gathering them. And 2 sub regions (Dragonspine and Chasm). They could add for each of these regions and sub regions another 2 spots for expeditions. But at least we can play the characters send on explorations. Considering Fontaine is the source of all water in Teyvat, they could add that all regions are connected, you can tap into other statue elements.
I really liked this video! The only thing is, it's less of two spirits in Dan Heng, and more the weight of their past incarnation (Dan Feng). He's still Dan Heng, he just looks like this one criminal everyone hates now
One little thing Star Rail does is the ease in which you can switch from keyboard to controller settings on PC. In Star Rail, I just have to move my mouse or move the joystick to switch controls instantly, but in Genshin you have to go to the options menu which means there's parts of the game where you're locked into one setting for the time being, like in combat, dialogue, and cutscenes. I love it for two reasons: 1. I prefer using a controller for most games 'cause I find navigating the buttons easier than keyboard most of the time, but there are some parts of Star Rail and Genshin that are easier with a keyboard. This is mostly menu stuff, the character screen, the team set-up screen, the crafting screen, inventory - that sorta stuff. Also some minigames like the puzzles are easier with mouse and keyboard. 2. I have dual monitors, so Star Rail makes it easier to do something else on the second monitor without having to use keyboard shortcuts to minimize the game and free my mouse from the program (regardless of what settings are currently in use). Usually, I have a guide up or something I'm listening to while playing the game, and sometimes you just need to click or scroll around on that page.
The mobile game Grandchase Dimensional Chaser did something called a Job Change were you get new heroes but they are their original classes from the PC game.
ideas i actually had in mind either recently or sometime in the past: abyss Kaeya (way too important to the long term lore to "just be a 4*"), Albedo because of similar hype to his character and lore, archons having a new form (but this i think should just be skins for them), versions of the adepti where they can use their adeptus form (Xiao, Ganyu, Yanfei), sword Sara since she had one in the cutscene... catalyst Layla because it makes no sense that she can't fight well canonically and still decided to use a sword as her weapon lol them bringing back the ??? for Neuvillette instead of saying "vision" is a good start to them introducing the characters that may not have conventional elemental powers like we know of currently in game. we know Dainsleif will eventually be playable; considering the lore, i can't see him getting a vision before we play him. Childe having skills in all weapons + having a delusion gives us ample options for new things with him. Kazuha being able to temporarily resonate with his friend's vision and control both opens doors. heck, technically the fact we have characters that can use visions that didn't used to belong to them (Ningguang, Mona) could mean elemental switches are possible i joked with my friends that i was ready for a new pyro husbando (in the tall male model) to be released and then thought it might be cool and ironic of them to rerelease Diluc but as a sword user more akin to his knight days, and perhaps his skill or burst makes use of the weapons or attacks he used in the manga. they kind of do this with his 5* skin, hiding his vision and with chains in his animations as if he's using his delusion (which wouldn't be in his possession but i digress). cases like this would be fun to weave in familiar things with new things (again, in the manga Kaeya was able to make large walls of ice, etc. maybe combining ice element with his abyss powers?)
I think making an stronger lr just alternative variant of a character would be such a good idea from a financial standpoint since those characters would already have an established presence in the story and game while having a dedicated fanbase
What could be an interesting way to tackle the "Awakened" forms of certain characters could be if the game acknowledges how much time has passed in game and age up/update the design of certain four stars. The Lantern Rite that introduced us to Shenhe and Yunjin established that a full year has passed since the previous one, on top of us already recieving three years of birthday mail from certain characters An updated Ningguang or Beidou can have changes to their outfits and playstyle to signifty how they've been adapting to an "Archon-less" Liyue and are ready to defend the city at a moments notice This could also show 1.0 units like Bennett, Xiangling, or Chongyun going through thier growth spurts and getting visibly older with enhanced versions of their 4 star kits And alternate idea would be if the Archons are able to bless somebody of their choice and then *that* character recieves some kind of Awakened form (Venti would choose Jean/Diluc, Zhongli chooses Ningguang, Ei chooses either Yae/Ayaka, Nahida chooses Wanderer/Cyno, etc)
Alternatively we want a change to MC, like how the Star rail has - within the menu. On the note, it would be cool if we can get (from an event) a device, to enter a adrenaline state. This allows him to choose 2 elements and combine them for certain amount of time. (ex: would be using the anemo skill with hydro's burst) Like we already saw the Tartaglia vs MC using 2 elements at once. This could allow temporary, Tartaglia to use electro aswell. This device could be used in event and afters in Open world, it should not affect the Spiral Abyss. On to characters outdated, I really hope they bound their talents that have "Level 1" to their ascention level. As they ascend they might get stronger (even if little). Plus when the character enter level 100 (if they ever consider adding more to the table), they might add a favor of likeliness... "After reaching 10 friendship and level 100, the character unlock effects unique to them" I will let mihoyo think about it themself.
I think Delusion buff could be curious. For exmaple: You get domains to farm Delusions. They need more resin to enter than bosses or artifacts, and they have a set of skills and a debuff, randomized. You can switch between a Vision and a Delusion in the battle with some cooldown, and you can mix and match the abilities. You might get a "god piece", like a Pyro Delusion with HP scaling for Yelan or Nilou, but it will constantly apply Pyro to you, and you take huge chunks of damage every time you burst; or an Electro Delusion with an aura similar to Dori, that can totally elevate your Hyperbloom team, but it scales with DEF, and will disable your Vision Burst and Skill for the duration, so you can put it on your Albedo for no reason other than funny chalk man go brrrrrrrrr
I've wished for the longest time that Genshin would add the Archon War versions of the Archons (or at least their skins) and upgraded 4 stars into 5 stars I would whale on 5 Star dps Bennet, Xinqiu, Heizou or Traveler
1) awakened version of units: Any character in genshin is Generally said to be awakened if they recieve a vision. The closest we ever got to that is wanderer. It's like asking for playable scaramouche but they gave wanderer. Same issue with hi3, they ask for playable male characters and all they get is their female counterparts from another universe uk. 2) event catchup: No. Just no. We all know how UI heavy genshin is, hsr can do catchups cuz they can fit in their 7gb . Unlike genshin which is already taking too much space. I'd rather have a smooth gameplay experience than missing a couple hundred gems 3) material conversions: The only conversions I'd like to add is the world boss drops, just like how we do it for weekly bosses. Except that, anything else can stay the same. What's the point of having an open world when you can't even use it. Again, hsr had it easy because there's no special lore behind the placing of the materials. Going to other player's World would also make up for it quite easily 5) remote access: Again you're lazy if you can't go to katheryne in Fontaine, it's literally 2 seconds away from the waypoint. Again what's the point of having an open world then? 5) self modeling resin : yes.
I think it would be really cool if genshin added a character that didn't have a vision and was just so skilled with it's weapon whatever it may be that the character could compete with the vision users. This would be a way to bring back physical and could make it so that more general supports start coming out like supports that shred defense or supports that increase damage for the whole party. Also I think the character could have a really cool design.
I've been saying this for a while: Favonius Knight Noelle! I feel like she's an obvious one.
She could be a sword user with a geo shield like Candace 😶🌫️
maybe she could have anemo since thats the element she wanted iirc
@@ThatOneGuyThatCommented aren’t visions irreplaceable? Unless she uses a delusion
@@unknownmothergoose7909yes they are irreplaceable
After 3 years of adventure yes, it suppose that is the timeline of Genshin Noelle is about to have 19 years old and still isn't a Favonius knight.
Story wise most 4S could become a 5S with a promotion like Noelle being Knighted, Layla graduated, Xingqiu becoming the head of his family, etc
Xingqiu is broken enough
@@junyaiwasenot every new form needs a buff, take honkai impact for example.
@@junyaiwasethe idea is just to give more opportunity, useless one can get buffed to be more useful, OP one can just get refreshed (animation or skin)
@@junyaiwase Noelle is broken at C6, we need to update Mika and Chongyun before either of them
I agree to this, Noelle turning finally into the White Knight of Favonius by completing her Hangout Questline is so long overdue ..shes the only character so far from all, which has had even a second Hangout Part, that prepared her for her becoming somewhen finally a true knight of Favonius, which receives as celebration gift hopefully then a new white knight skin/star rate upgrade together with a new kind of paladinesque Claymore Sword that is then part of an Event around her Knighthood, that fits to her being a new Guardian of Mondstadt.
She really deserves it. She was robbed from her 5* rating and could really use the glowup
Navia is already exactly that
@@YukiKitsune361 I have never understood why Ningguang was 4* while Keqing was 5*. That always seemed kinda backwards to me.
@@Bladehound83I heard that in the beta, Keqing was more popular than Ningguang.
Ningguang and Beidou are just begging for 5 star versions.
The interesting thing is how "Awakened" characters went from a staple in every MHY game (Honkai Gakuen 2 and Honkai Impact 3 being filled with the same characters with multiple versions) to a novelty in HSR and then being completely absent in Genshin.
Genshin is just used to get money for there other games it seems like
the thing i wish they could’ve done is something like a 2 in 1 character for lyney and lynette or make them have like a joint burst when on the same party. That would make combat more interesting imo. i was kinda dissapointed when i found out they dont really synergize with each other
LITERALLY
i used to be convinced theyd be kinda like a childe situation where you use your e to swap between the two or smt
And reserve resin which would be added slowly when normal resin is full.
That would be a 24 hour refresh if anything that's worse for people who are busy
HSR originally had 180 limit which is actually worse in terms of percentage of daily cap you can regenerate to (75% in 180/240 compared to Genshin's 89% in 160/180).
i have always enjoyed honkai characters having many battlesuits cuz it lets older characters to still be in the meta and let them get character development and im so happy that star rail did it too
Older ? The game is a few months old lmaooo 😂
@@bibule I think they meant Honkai Impact 3rd which is 7 or so years old already
Unless you're using Himeko, or Kallen, or Sakura.
Idk I want them to do it like the grind able ones like kiana
I think he did Star rail because it gets more views
5:16 just to clarify Childe’s delusion has nothing to do with his foul legacy transformation
It’s an abyssal power tht let’s him use both his vision and delusion at once

Btw, no, Lunae is not a different person from Dan Heng
Dan Feng and Dan Heng are different people who have inhabited the same body, but the title of Inbibitor Lunae belongs to all incarnations of that body. Lunae is just Dan embracing his title and using the power that comes with it. Same person still
Yeah, plus, after you get Imbibitor Lunae Dan Heng, you get texts from just Dan Heng. They're indeed the same person
given that he says scaramouche vs wanderer is also a different “entity”, i think he’s just defining entity wrong lol
Genshin dev team seem a lot more restrictive with the way they go about character development that the Honkai games, shame but it is what it is.

I'm still waiting for Lisa to "die" and revive as a 5 star a la Scaramouche and Wanderer
Also bennett. His lore is deep as well.
yeah i'm waiting for 5 star kaeya also
As a Kaeya main, agreed! Also Noelle, she deserves to become a knight when Klee already is one
Kaeya is Dan Heng in Genshin. Both standard 4* male characters, both are lore important.
Id love them introduce level 100 evolutions or something. This would be great way revive older units by giving them a reasonable buff
Doubt though since people won’t be pulling for other characters later on
It's honestly quite simple, add a new skill for level 100
Make that skill better with newer weapons
And just like that, you essentially can make people reroll for older chars
@@BladeSerph burning gacha weapons? What? Pretty sure you don't need to burn gacha weapons to level up Pri arms
@@youssefhamdy6008 They can easily do an ascended Heizou or ascended Mika. No need to ascend decent or OP 4 stars like Kaeya just yet
@@nonamepasserbya6658agree, we're not ready for an ascended Bennett yet
@@youssefhamdy6008 I would hope that they only do ascended for four stars
Kaeya could also have a abyss/quantum element in the future because his connection to Khaenria.
honkai impact already have Augment Core where you can farm/grind for it, a system that changed how some character play/ different skill set
Rarity level is not power level. That's why we keep using National trio.
@@Gnidelyou got his point tho, kaeya's kit is still hella outdated and not at all on par with his manga counterpart
@@sylvyboi You want outdated? Look at Mika and Xinyan. Kaeya is far from being outdated
Imagine getting the archon forms of zhongli , venti, etc my god they’d look cool as hell and the power my lord
For the conversion thing - it can work like the cooking mechanic. You need to get at least a certain number of the material in order of fit to be converted from another one.
I really agree with the remote options can really make traversing all the main cities much easier 😅
Hear me out, Delusion Diluc pulling another Heizou and punching the living daylights out of the abyss order
I would get Diluc's "awakened" form so fast- I would cry if Mihoyo added something like that for him he's so neglected T-T
i still think adding a final ascension to level 100 (and a corresponding ascension talent) can help some weaker characters get buffed, or for the stronger characters that dont need any help, add a new way to play them or utility for the team or something. let klee’s burst stay even after she leaves the field so she can apply pyro, etc etc.
since dan heng IL was revealed ive been thinking about which genshin characters could get the same treatment, and i think it could be super fun
Because let's be honest, character trials don't teach us a damn thing about how the character actually plays out in real battle scenarios
plus it lets you experiment with comps before pulling
@@wafaay7182 exactly it's WAYYY better
10:24 the traveler should be one slot per element in the character menú, to make up the fact that we have to level up talents anyway.
to be fair i'm not against some elemental changes for genshin "awakened" forms, a electro wanderer or anemo shogun-bot would be crazy.
maybe make most awakenings just kit fixes (like dehya, xinyan, amber, qiqi, etc) but make a few others (those with lore reasons) for element change with a toggleable option.
they can atleast begin by giving standard 5* something like maybe a level 100 ascension with a kit rehaul for them and like make it grindy af for all i care but if that makes those dead charas back to relevancy i am all for it. they did this hi3 as well
I got no faith on Hoyo giving rewards from past events that I missed, but as someone who started playing in 3.4/3.5 I would love to play events for the story.
I really wish fischl skin was an awakened form/5 star version of her it would be so cool
if i can get a lore accurate venti then we need different forms
Venti is already one of the most broken units in the game. What do you mean by lore accurate Venti
@@kawaiimika7974i agree hes very strong but i mean like damage wise, a dedicated dps venti
@@kawaiimika7974 venti is strong but if he isn't facing a horde of enemies that can get pulled by his burst that he isn't that good.
I definitely hope they make an Kheanri’ahn Prince Kaeya as his awakened form because I feel like his lore has been building up to it and I feel like it would only make sense that he would have a form that has powers like Dainsleif.
I think the idea of awakened characters have specific lore implications
In the short term, it could work with only the archons (maybe not all) because we know from the archon war an some bosses that they can achieve more (or at least a different) power
since the source of the rest of the cast comes almost exclusively from their visions, they would need to understand how those visions truly work or at least their true purpose, and that could be discovered most likely at the end of the story or maybe in a hypothetical second part after the twins reunion
Instead of any QoL changes I think it’s a lot more urgent for them to start worrying about how to make the game’s storage size smaller, they’ve already started on mobile by allowing you to delete files from previous quests but I still don’t know why this isn’t a part of the pc and ps4/5 versions, unless they plan on releasing it later on
Idk if characters so much need an entirely separate alt, but instead they could just add one more ascension level that gives a significant powerup.
I hope it never happens, like, genshin sells more than skills, they sell stories, you can tell by how detailed their character voice lines are when compared to HSR
The only way it can work is for "future" (imposible, this isn't honkai multiverse) or "past" versions, so you get a new story for a perspective that you don't have in the OG character
Example: Zhong Li in the archon war, but for almost everyone else it doesn't work, it'll be a copy-paste of low quality effort
I'm so glad you mentioned Brave Frontier, I love and miss that game
I've been saying this since version 1.1, We need an alter Childe that uses the delusion and has a transforming ultimate for foul legacy
I always wanted a new Kaeya character once/if we get to Khaenri'ah. For one of the most lore revalent characters to be a free 4 star is a little odd. Plus it would be awesome to see some payoff for all the intrigue built up around his character.
i strongly agree with all but the first, and one you left out is the ability to guarantee just 1 specific standard 5 star
I dig the FE Engage music in the background, its awesome!
there is something in other gaccha games that seem to match what we are asking for, example is dragon ball legends, when a character starts to reach the 1.5 to 2 years of age, it will recieve a zenkai, which basically revives the character and gives them new uniques and uses. it would be great if they added that in genshin, just call it Genesis awakening or something
I really do hope they add something like the SMR; even if you get terrible substats, you can remove 2-3 layers of RNG from the artifact grind which will save A LOT of time even if you get terrible substats
without using the strong box and without including all the RNG of rolling substats, you already have to deal with the RNG of which set you get from a domain, AND the RNG of which piece, AND the RNG of which main stat
with the strongbox, you can cut out the RNG of which set you get, but you're still stuck with the RNG of what piece you get, what main stat you get, AND all the layers of RNG from rolling substats
for like the past year I've been going through and maxing out non-meta characters I could possibly see myself having fun using, but I'm catching up to the point where the only thing left is getting them all relics; and that is a terrifyingly daunting task, just imagining all the work it'd take to get them with at least useable sets sounds awful; if there was something like the SMR, then that'd be able to save me A LOT of headache and I would be content leaving them with proper sets with proper main stats and just leaving their substats as is
one of my favorite mobile games, magia record (which has now been shut down outside of japan) had this limit break feature where whenever they updated a character, you would be able to limit break them into a higher rarity, so 5 stars can become 6 stars and 4 stars can become 5 stars, but they were rolled out in slower updates to allow players to have some time to make the upgrade, i think this is fitting for genshin as it could transform some previously non meta characters into having some viability today, whilst not changing the character's element or playstyle too much, just enough to feel like its the same character but better
2:00 BRAVE FRONTIER, my childhood is calling
As nice as it sounds, I think "awakened" forms of current 4 stars doesn't make sense in this universe/the type of world this is.
Ropeless Shenhe would be dope, like a very violent playsyle as DPS
I really liked this video! The only thing is, it's less of two spirits in Dan Heng, and more the weight of their past incarnation (Dan Feng). He's still Dan Heng, he just looks like this one criminal everyone hates now
One little thing Star Rail does is the ease in which you can switch from keyboard to controller settings on PC. In Star Rail, I just have to move my mouse or move the joystick to switch controls instantly, but in Genshin you have to go to the options menu which means there's parts of the game where you're locked into one setting for the time being, like in combat, dialogue, and cutscenes. I love it for two reasons:
When we got new relic sets in HSR they were instantly added to crafting while in genshin we have to wait for next region for that to happen.
The mobile game Grandchase Dimensional Chaser did something called a Job Change were you get new heroes but they are their original classes from the PC game.
ideas i actually had in mind either recently or sometime in the past: abyss Kaeya (way too important to the long term lore to "just be a 4*"), Albedo because of similar hype to his character and lore, archons having a new form (but this i think should just be skins for them), versions of the adepti where they can use their adeptus form (Xiao, Ganyu, Yanfei), sword Sara since she had one in the cutscene... catalyst Layla because it makes no sense that she can't fight well canonically and still decided to use a sword as her weapon lol
them bringing back the ??? for Neuvillette instead of saying "vision" is a good start to them introducing the characters that may not have conventional elemental powers like we know of currently in game. we know Dainsleif will eventually be playable; considering the lore, i can't see him getting a vision before we play him. Childe having skills in all weapons + having a delusion gives us ample options for new things with him. Kazuha being able to temporarily resonate with his friend's vision and control both opens doors. heck, technically the fact we have characters that can use visions that didn't used to belong to them (Ningguang, Mona) could mean elemental switches are possible
i joked with my friends that i was ready for a new pyro husbando (in the tall male model) to be released and then thought it might be cool and ironic of them to rerelease Diluc but as a sword user more akin to his knight days, and perhaps his skill or burst makes use of the weapons or attacks he used in the manga. they kind of do this with his 5* skin, hiding his vision and with chains in his animations as if he's using his delusion (which wouldn't be in his possession but i digress). cases like this would be fun to weave in familiar things with new things (again, in the manga Kaeya was able to make large walls of ice, etc. maybe combining ice element with his abyss powers?)
The Lantern Rite that introduced us to Shenhe and Yunjin established that a full year has passed since the previous one, on top of us already recieving three years of birthday mail from certain characters
An updated Ningguang or Beidou can have changes to their outfits and playstyle to signifty how they've been adapting to an "Archon-less" Liyue and are ready to defend the city at a moments notice
This could also show 1.0 units like Bennett, Xiangling, or Chongyun going through thier growth spurts and getting visibly older with enhanced versions of their 4 star kits
And alternate idea would be if the Archons are able to bless somebody of their choice and then *that* character recieves some kind of Awakened form (Venti would choose Jean/Diluc, Zhongli chooses Ningguang, Ei chooses either Yae/Ayaka, Nahida chooses Wanderer/Cyno, etc)
For exmaple:
You get domains to farm Delusions.
I've wished for the longest time that Genshin would add the Archon War versions of the Archons (or at least their skins) and upgraded 4 stars into 5 stars
I would whale on 5 Star dps Bennet, Xinqiu, Heizou or Traveler
1) awakened version of units:
Any character in genshin is Generally said to be awakened if they recieve a vision. The closest we ever got to that is wanderer. It's like asking for playable scaramouche but they gave wanderer.
Same issue with hi3, they ask for playable male characters and all they get is their female counterparts from another universe uk.
2) event catchup:
No. Just no. We all know how UI heavy genshin is, hsr can do catchups cuz they can fit in their 7gb . Unlike genshin which is already taking too much space. I'd rather have a smooth gameplay experience than missing a couple hundred gems
3) material conversions:
The only conversions I'd like to add is the world boss drops, just like how we do it for weekly bosses. Except that, anything else can stay the same. What's the point of having an open world when you can't even use it. Again, hsr had it easy because there's no special lore behind the placing of the materials. Going to other player's World would also make up for it quite easily
5) remote access:
Again you're lazy if you can't go to katheryne in Fontaine, it's literally 2 seconds away from the waypoint.
There are NPCs this powerful but they are tucked away in quest lol
Traveler?
