The country of Yugoslavia existed from 1929 until 2003. The capital city of Yugoslavia was Belgrade and it was dominated by Serbia. The most important reason for its collapse was the tension between the Serbs and Croats. Yugoslavia broke into six different nations. On 25 June 1991, Slovenia and Croatia became the first republics to declare independence from Yugoslavia, followed by Macedonia later that year. Bosnia declared it’s independence in 1992 while Montenegro and Serbia split up in 2006. The collapse was complete in 2008 when Kosovo declared it’s independence from Serbia.

Wasn’t just tensions between Serbs and Croats. This had existed and was a problem for a very long time historically, but the government was good in trying to help alleviate these tensions. Outside powers who disliked Yugoslavia helped fund and support these radical racist movements- Serbs hating Croats and Croats hating Serbs, etc, so Yugoslavia could be destroyed and these new individual countries could be robbed by the west and local turncoats. We miss you Yugoslavia.

BUT, if you ask a German, Britishman or a Frenchman, do they consider them to be the "West", the answer is NO! The "West" ends with Austria. Everything after that, from the western point of view, is considered to be east. It has nothing to do with the Roman empire, mate. Don't mix up the things just because you want to be seen as a west. Yugoslavia existed from 1918 till 1991, And officially dissolved in 1992 when it was changed to the "Federal Republic of Yugoslavia", 2003 it switched it's name from FR Yugoslavia to something I forgot, then Constitutionally ceased to exist in 2006 when montenegro declared independence

Yugoslavia collapsed in 1992 when Bosnia and Herzegovina gained independence from it, what was left was Serbia and Montenegro who became Serbia-Montenegro until it collapsed in 2006 into Serbia and Montenegro
