+Malgahar my father was a teacher and taught us albanian. in 1992 serbian Police forces came to our school and one of them pointed a gun at my father and including me (i was 4 years old). After this my father decided to leave Kosovo. My uncle got killed ( He was a teacher ) in a Region were at least 90 % Albanians live plus we had only one serbian Family in our municipal area. The only story I have about Albania (I haven’t visited yet) is this: I was with a tour group and we crossed into Croatia from Montenegro. Another tour bus was stopped and everyone was off of the bus and border officials were pulling off the luggage, crawling under the bus, had dogs searching all over. We asked the tour guide if this was typical (since we only had a border officer come aboard, check us against our passports, and leave). He stated ‘only for Albanians, sadly some criminals gave them the reputation for smuggling and now they all pay the price.’

Our flag was once whith a WHITE background, but after we lost a fight which was led by Teuta, the guy who was appointed to take care of the flag, after loosing the battle, cut his stomach and hid the flag inside, after he came back to Teuta, he told her they lost the battle, but not the flag, and gave her the flag which was covered in blood. A war is only lost when the flag hits the ground! Since that moment, our flag is RED.
I have been to Albania 16 times, 11 in the south and 5 in the north [and up and down on the coast]. Beautiful country, friendly and welcoming people. Throughout the years, Albania's Governments have drastically improved it's infrastructure massively. If You are planning on visiting Albania - I recommend staying at people that rent-out apartments rather than hotels, it will save You money and usually - You will be further away from the mosquitoes. If you didn't know there historical emblem of the double headed Eagle comes from the Byzantine Empire Flag (Eastern Roman Empire). That's the reason why most Balkan and Slavic countries have the double headed on their flag.

paul lima I would like to apologize to anyone I have offended with my vulgar comments in the last couple of months, I am starting to realize that I was wrong. After lots of soul searching I realized that I am always angry because I am not happy with my current life due to identity struggle. My whole life since kinder garden all the way to elementary school (which is my highest education) I have been told that us Albanians are unique and special and how we come from some ancient people that I knew nothing about. As years passed by I actually never did any research on these Illyrians, all I knew was how somehow we were related to them. I was angry all these years because the Serbs, Greeks and all of our neighbors started questioning my Albanian identity, secretly I was always scared that maybe they might be right, which would mean that my whole life would have been a lie. I finally came to my senses and after taking a break from my angry UA-cam responses I decided to read a book called *The Illyrians* by John Wilkes, this book finally opened my eyes and I finally realized that *Greater Albania* is only an nationalist agenda. And I believe that Slavs will forgive me one day for my ignorance.

A short-lived monarchical state known as the Principality of Albania (1914-1925) was succeeded by an even shorter-lived first Albanian Republic (1925-1928). Another monarchy, the Kingdom of Albania (1928-1939), replaced the republic. The country endured an occupation by Italy just prior to World War II. After the collapse of the Axis powers, Albania became a communist state, the Socialist People's Republic of Albania, which for most of its duration was dominated by Enver Hoxha (died 1985). Hoxha's political heir Ramiz Alia oversaw the disintegration of the "Hoxhaist" state during the wider collapse of the Eastern Bloc in the later 1980s.
The communist regime collapsed in 1990, and the former communist Party of Labour of Albania was routed in elections in March 1992, amid economic collapse and social unrest. The unstable economic situation led to an Albanian diaspora, mostly to Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Germany and North America during the 1990s. The crisis peaked in the Albanian Turmoil of 1997. An amelioration of the economic and political conditions in the early years of the 21st century enabled Albania to become a full member of NATO in 2009. The only story I have about Albania (I haven’t visited yet) is this: I was with a tour group and we crossed into Croatia from Montenegro. Another tour bus was stopped and everyone was off of the bus and border officials were pulling off the luggage, crawling under the bus, had dogs searching all over. We asked the tour guide if this was typical (since we only had a border officer come aboard, check us against our passports, and leave). He stated ‘only for Albanians, sadly some criminals gave them the reputation for smuggling and now they all pay the price.’

Our flag was once whith a WHITE background, but after we lost a fight which was led by Teuta, the guy who was appointed to take care of the flag, after loosing the battle, cut his stomach and hid the flag inside, after he came back to Teuta, he told her they lost the battle, but not the flag, and gave her the flag which was covered in blood. A war is only lost when the flag hits the ground!

I have been to Albania 16 times, 11 in the south and 5 in the north [and up and down on the coast]. Beautiful country, friendly and welcoming people. Throughout the years, Albania's Governments have drastically improved it's infrastructure massively. If You are planning on visiting Albania - I recommend staying at people that rent-out apartments rather than hotels, it will save You money and usually - You will be further away from the mosquitoes. My whole life since kinder garden all the way to elementary school (which is my

and how we come from some ancient people that I knew nothing about. As years passed by I actually never did any research on these Illyrians, all I knew was how
somehow we were related to them. I was angry all these years because the Serbs,
Greeks and all of our neighbors started questioning my Albanian identity,
secretly I was always scared that maybe they might be right, which would mean
that my whole life would have been a lie. I finally came to my senses and after
taking a break from my angry UA-cam responses I decided to read a book called
*The Illyrians* by John Wilkes, this book finally opened my eyes and I finally
realized that *Greater Albania* is only an nationalist agenda. And I believe
that Slavs will forgive me one day for my ignorance.
Slavs are the most european people. South Slavs like Serbs aren't Slavs or Russians..... Serbs are basically just Slavicized Ilryians
