THE NBA STORYTELLER I think it's because of 2 reasons. 1. is because of what you said a few times throughout your videos, which is that today everybody is PC and players can not truely express themselves and neither can anybody who is a persona around the team (or they can, but it has become way too popular to bitch at any character who is just a bit colorful and not dull and grey and so clean that it actually smells bad). 2. (and this might be the real reason) As long as the lakers are kicking ass it's all part of the showtime theme, but as soon as they start doing bad, or at least not being any good, then people around the team start getting blood thirsty. (and the lakers, this season, from what I've seen, seem to me mediocre at best on a good day).. and it's even more convenient for criticisers outside of the team environment, or all types of "commentators" to pick up on that, because most of today's media commentators are just living in their own popularity contest, a cringy version of a miss pasadina beauty pagent, only without the good looks, because most of the mainstream crowd do not like to think that much and like to hear what creates cognitive ease for them, things they are used to hearing and make them feel comfortable and let them know which pattern they are supposed to be thinking in. Anyway, that was my rant about it, sorry for it taking so long. Great video as always. Peace out teller ✌🏼(and btw it IS a GOOD thing that there is such a team in the history of the NBA which, through most of it's history, is all talent but still colorful and full of those distractions, it is even good for the NBA. As you once said, it's just good for business)

Think about how the Lakers get ride of regular non-distracting players/ assets for all-distracting ones because of no good reasons: 1st Rd Pick (which turned into Finley)- Cedric Ceballos; Eddie Jones- Glen Rice; Trevor Ariza- Ron Artest; Lance Jr- Isaiah Thomas. It doesn't matter who runs the team, because they breathe distractions.

The difference was all those players that caused distraction had established themselves, so it was just an inconvenient to deal with. All those distractions became fascinating side stories when you won. Ball was just a nobody that became a distraction and he did not win.
