The NBA is full of peak performances, but when you have so much perfection, managing it all becomes quite the task. Folks at the top, specifically the NBA commissioner, must always try to keep the league modern and relevant, but when you play that game sometimes you make good choices and sometimes you make bad ones. Today we explore a few of the worst choices the NBA has made. One choice they made was even responsible for gutting the NBA of some of it's most compelling stories, and narrative potential.

Bro you gotta do a video on the "forgotten dunk" Kendall Gill when he dunked on Mutombo gm5 94 playoffs. I know they lost etc but Gill SINGLEHANDEDLY kept the Sonics alive with that dunk, then tipping Paytons hero airball in to force OT. What really grinds my gears is there wasn't even a replay of that dunk after or going to commercial break, not even a mention. It was a MASSIVE off hand lefty.. in traffic.. Nuggets up 6 with 3:38 to go.. On Mount Mutombo!! Who averaged how many swats that series?? 5 thousand or something!!?? It genuinely upsets me that this is not a top 10 playoff dunk of all-time, yet there's not even an image of it on the Internet as far as ive searched.. No getty images.. Nothing. A dunk of that magnitude deserves its recognition regardless that his team lost. So The NBA Storyteller.. would you give this man,dunk,moment.. the credit it has deserved for the past 25 years? 🙏🙏🙏
Annnnd no.. the NBA storyteller wont even delve into this story. Disappointing, but expected. Kendall Gill never got the props he deserved. He was the pioneer of making off hand dunks look natural and awesome. I wont stop trying though!

Excellent channel and your production quality is elite level, you should have way more subscribers than you do! Thinking about how the NBA has marketed its players, I've always felt (and I'm being admittedly partisan here), that the NBA robbed Tom Chambers of the recognition that he deserved. When he was in the All-Star phase of his career, finding highlights of him and game promotions that featured clips of him was like finding a fallen contact lens on the hardwood. Despite being one of the top scorers in the league and one of the elite game dunkers, Chambers was rarely featured in any NBA highlight videos beyond his dunk over Mark Jackson, and he was never a game storyline in promotions beyond being referenced as a scoring threat.
Even after coming off of two consecutive All-NBA 2nd Team selections, leading the Suns to two Conference Finals appearances, 3 All-Star teams + ASG MVP, and scoring a 60-point game, etc., he was left off the NBA Superstars video of 1990 despite having dozens of elite highlight reel plays. Chris Mullin was featured on that video instead - who was promptly dispatched by Chambers & Suns in 1989 and who didn't even make the playoffs in 1990, and was just a 3rd team selection. So why did the NBA snub Chambers? Perhaps it's because he didn't stare down an opponent after delivering a punishing dunk, or beckon to the crowd after making a critical play, or saying something funny or being goofy in an interview. So many people have forgotten about Chambers that it's as if his career never existed.
The NBA's UA-cam channel has produced 0.0 (ZERO) highlight videos of Chambers, yet they've produced at least a half dozen on Jason Williams (never an All-Star), and two on Brian Scalabrine! It's even produced an entire dunk highlight reel for Stromile Swift! (who??). Yet Chambers who has as deep a career catalog of punishing game dunks as Swift (I've only scratched the surface with his dunks), and stellar plays as All-Stars of his era, gets no love. The NBA has robbed Chambers of recognition, it's killed his legacy, and it's a factor in why he's not even been nominated once to the Basketball Hall of Fame.

NBA awards is dumb as hell, takes away the players moment to actually be appreciated and bask in the glory. We will never get another KD "you're the real mvp" moment. All of this because one year the nba players put an award ceremony at the end of the season and the NBA got scared of not raking in some of that profit and came up with this nonsense.
