      France ?
      - The 2nd weapon supplier in the world
      - The 3rd nuclear power in the world
      - The only nuclear power in Europe
      - The Headquarter of Airbus, the 1st or 2nd plane company in the world
      - The Headquarter of The European Space Agency
      - The country with the most victories in his history (google it to check)
      - The country with the largest sea domain in the world (it's France or the US, don't remember)
      - The country who has the most nuclear factories
      - The country where the Radium has been discovered (no radium: no radiography, no nuclear bomb ...)
Should I continue ? Or maybe you want to go back to school ?...

How many countries in the EU will want France to be their security guarantor? If France could defend itself, it wouldn't be a part of NATO. France has donated very little military aid to Ukraine, yet Macron had the audacity to say that the West should be open to sending troops to Ukraine. Macron and the EU can send troops to Ukraine. It doesn't have to be under NATO.

Still, have you seen US political debates? It could be *much* worse. You must admit, powerloading 3 to 5 questions before an answer can be given is not kind either. Still, a more patient person would have simply picked the best one to answer.

Macron has actually been very forward-thinking on this one. He’s pushed a built-in-Europe defense-industrial policy for years. Unfortunately, most other European states-most conspicuously Germany and Poland-are still perfectly happy to buy American (and now Korean).
I’m on Macron’s side of this debate, personally. The U.S. isn’t a reliable partner any longer. The MAGA wing has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to abandon America’s allies at the slightest inconvenience. Europe needs to rely on itself.

What people proud of here are brilliant and meanwhile not business friendly, except bureaucracy all should not be changed. Agree with a lot of what he says, but don't agree with how he engages with 'partners' or really his actions (or lack thereof). I'm not sure exactly what he wants.

Macron has a point. Giving Russia and China access to European markets has to be the biggest blunder post WW2.

France lost its neo colonials in Afrika, and they are fighting with the sole provider of commodities namely Russia. I guess he is nervous since he realized France has nothing left...

Macron has taken the leadership of Europe in the absence of Germany. 🇬🇧🇫🇷👍 As a Brit I welcome this and hope Britain will help.

What is a hyperpower except a term to make non-superpowers feel special? We didnt subsidize the internet or advertising. We let wealth accumulate and are benefiting from deep pockets looking for places to invest. We subsidize oil whereas EU subsidizes food; one is needed by people, the other by the economy. To stimulate the economy, create a surplus of the raw inputs. We created a surplus of capital following a surplus of energy and infrastructure. Im actually starting to see why we aren't funding education more; EU does but without support for business, whats it really worth?

I was surprised to see people arguing for negotiations with Putin. Negotiations, if they could achieve what these people envision, would give Putin the Ukrainian territory his military has taken. Negotiations would reward Putin.
The idea that French forces would fight in Ukraine seems to be going in the right direction. That is only a suggestion at the moment, but Europe needs to think about what Putin's invasion of Ukraine means for Europe.

What if say tax the wealthy people? Do you think they are not taxed enough? What if we all think rational. Who do you think will invest in something who has chance to success 1%? George Westinghouse etc...

The hosts constant interrupting and attempting entrapment is rather hostile. Almost as bad as the host of Conflict Zone on DW, is this standard for Euro News?

The comment about Brussels dictating solutions for all countries to follow does cause enormous problems. Different countries have different infrastructures and different ways of working. There needs to be autonomy within countries with working practices that just follow a broad directive around policies. Micro managing does not work.

Honestly and this point we need a frenchman as eu president. They the only one with a healthy mindset regarding our position in the world.
The lack of strategic oversight here in germany and the rest of the eu is leading us straight into the abyss.
Also we gonna need to care about putins puppy Orban.
    Make europe great again!
