So, I ordered the 32" model and then found this video lol. It supposed to be at my doorstep Friday. My question is if you can make a video with the most ideal settings for FPS gaming on the XSX? Is the calibration you performed a built in feature or is this something you do manually? Sorry, I'm just too busy to be nerdy anymore 😅
Don't understand why LG would ruin their reputation in the reviewing industry for reviews that still praise their monitors, bad move on their marketing team and hopefully moving forward they will continue to allow reviewers to do their thing. Looking forward for the next LG review here at this channel.
Not just LG but every other tech company need to realise that reviewers are helping them improve for better as well as their customer base. I have so far never bought a single pc part without the help of all the reviewers. I am a big fan of LG products and thats with the advice of reviewers. I personally won’t buy any product if reviewers aren’t allowed to give their best and honest opinion. Thanks Bijan, keep up the good work for us 🙏🏻
I bought this monitor for myself and honestly I do not regret it one day, Its such a great monitor and I get my full refresh rates. And it's resolution is off the charts.
Really, the only thing that's really not good with these monitors is the low native contrast. It's on the low side for IPS panels, but other than that they seem to be pretty good, especially now the prices are lower.
damn you need more subs, you add like 400% more info than the others. also thanks for adding Tarkov, dark game but if the monitor is good enough to show dark levels in that game, then it is good enough for me, damn good review.
Grr, I want to try this monitor. It checks a lot of boxes. But always scared of the end result. RMA can be such a hassle. I play nearly every genre, so between performance and quality it's so hard to find a good 32in, 144hz+, 1440p monitor.
I think you should not treat this monitor as if it was representative of the 27" model, too, which is actually faster in terms of response time. Still a nice video, I like your style.
Great video, very informative! As an engineer working in this industry, I don't find this review will offending the development team. But we will look at this review as the product improvement for the next launch which will also adds the benefits to the users as well as the company. Keep it up!
You don't need manufacturer software to control the screen. OS's just need to start supporting brightness/contrast control on monitors. There's a bunch of tools that allow changing the brightness/contrast settings via ddc protocol ClickMonitorDDC is my fav (discontinued but you can still find it around if you search hard enough)
I bought this monitor 3 days ago not really had time to try everything, please don't tell me it sucks lol I enjoyed playing cod on it very smooth and quick plus the frame counter is a bonus, my old 1080p had to go nowhere near fast enough or as clear.
I actually like 1440p 32" monitors. I also have 4k 32", and I find it too "small" without scaling. I never even notice the difference in pixel density (my monitors are a good arms-length away from me). I replaced them both with....another 32" 1440p and 34" 1440p Ultrawide predators (IPS 240Hz and 180Hz respectively). I don't think I will ever go 4K as I find it useless at this size (32"), even though I can run it just fine. I'd rather get more FPS. I do have 3090 which is great for 4K DLSS, but I still find 1440p the sweet spot. I was actually looking for your reviews before purchasing a 32" 1440p, but noticed you only had 27" reviews. I was looking at this monitor, but ultimately went with Acer.
@@boppernostopper8598 The 32 inch is a beast and I like it. It is $900, but at 240Hz IPS 1ms gtg, HDR600, what else would I need? (For comparison, the 170Hz version is $800). The 34 inch is okay (hdr400 is meh). Same price but I feel like the 32 inch is a better gaming monitor, which is weird because I thought I’d use the ultrawide more for gaming. 32 inch is big enough to immerse as it is almost as wide as the 34 ultrawide, plus the added vertical height. The problem I have with the ultrawide is the added pixels mean lower color bit at the top 180Hz (I cannot even imagine 4k).
This monitor does have a confirmed hidden menu. Turn off your monitor. Once off. Push the joystick to the left 3 times and one time to the right, Then .Push in the center to turn the monitor on service menu. Once The main menu comes out. Go to settings ..and the hidden menu will pop up on the left side of your screen. Once there. You need to turn on HCDP on in order to enjoy netflix in full 4k with hdr. Otherwise it wont work. We need all the help we can get together.
Nothing bothers me more than white/gray uniformity issues and I have gone through two 27GP850s and a 27GL83a (which I decided to keep but it later killed itself) and all of them had weird dark corners, blue edges, or pinkish tints in spots, I am thinking of trying this one out because of the good uniformity comments.
Pretty dope monitor but that IPS glow was pretty overwhelming at times. Would've kept it but the panel I got actually had a dead pixel in it. Went with a Odyssey G7 32 inch
@@Brandon-rf4cn I prefer the G7 cause of the brightness and contrast ratio. The blacks get really dark and it is HDR 600 certified. The LG monitor had really good color but has the black levels were really bad. If you're buying it strictly for video games and wanna spend less money id say go with lg. But if you're gonna watch a lot of media like I do as well as gaming then go with the G7.
i recently saw someone claim the PG329Q by Asus was the best, and has similar specs. immediately preferred to hear your opinion on it but don't see a video on it. any chance you will sometime ?
Great to see something like this for the price range. Would it be worth considering 2 of these for daily use. One For Gaming + another for Surfing/Coding/Work/etc?
I have a question which is stumping me i been watching all your reviews, my question is should i go 240hrtz 1440p or 144,165,180hrtz 1440p with out having to compensate or lower setting im pretty competitive but not a hard core comp player i love gaming and would also like to edit video and watch movies on my monitor with out losing anything i want that black lighting and contrasting to b great
Good video, although some things were missing. It is a very good monitor. I have it in its 27-inch version. When you turn it on there is a grid pattern where you see some pixels, but it only lasts for 10 minutes or so, until the monitor warms up and it disappears and looks very sharp. The ergonomics is limited because it cannot be turned sideways. There is an app to change presets without having to use the button below. There is some occasional flicker when using the 180HZ overclock as it forces FreeSync to be used on Extended. As long as it is used in Basic and a frequency of 165HZ there will not be that flicker, which is usually occasional, a few seconds and slight. A problem with these LG monitors, not only the IPS 850, it also happened to me with the 32-inch VA ultragear: it is that when they pack it there is dust, or dust seeps into the box, and then the screen is left with the dust and with the pattern of the protective plastic... This is something that can only be seen with the light of a flashlight. I cleaned it with a new dry chamois cloth, don't even think about using a used one or you will ruin the screen. The blacklight is not uniform due to the IPS glow, although it is perhaps better than many other monitors like the Acer Predator and others. It's actually pretty good for an IPS.

Great review. I am a console gamer in the transistion of moving from a HDR 4k 60 tv to a montor. I have been waiting for the 27GP950, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to find. I am really thinking the 27GP850 would be fine. Most games wont hit 4k 120 with HDR. The other option I am thinking ia the Aorus fv43u. I am really leaning to the AORUS, great HDR. But worried to large for a desk. $1000 for HDR1000 and 3000 to 1 contrast with Aorus 43. Or $450 for 27GP850 and a LG OLED
In the parts of the video where there are game visuals, when I pause the moving scenes and play them frame by frame, 3-4 bars seem to appear one after the other, for example, 3 shadows appear while the gun's bullet is falling down. Is this normal or is it a problem with this monitor? I also have ips panel legion 5 pro. But isn't it like that? I'm considering buying this monitor, but I'm afraid I'll regret it.
Thanks for the review! How does it compare to the 34gp83a though? I believe the ultrawide would be worth it over the 10-15 fps deficit... Please let me know! P. S. I'm mostly focusing on editing on PP and AE with weekend gaming...
I also have this one same. Very good but downside is LG black stabilizer is nowhere as good as Samsung G7 for eg because in some dark scene still grey and hazy which is kind of hard to see in FPS and some IPS glowing because it has no ATW polarizer HDR mode not very good, very poor, unfortunately due to gray in black and the highlight gets blown out and missing the FALD or Mini led, some UA-cam and other video content in motion are sometimes stuttering. Thats my con for these parts. The rest are very good overall for eg almost perfect out of box factory calibration, gray look a bit darker than my old IPS monitor, DCI-P3 included which is a bonus, gaming very good with great motion handling, sharp text and easy to read thanks to IPS and good sub pixels.
Black EQ if you look at Samsung default at off, it looks much better than LG 32GP850 by mile with EQ 50 mean off most likely from LG. LG Here ua-cam.com/video/WL2qBJ0WPhI/v-deo.html Samsung Here ua-cam.com/video/2zWbV4QIcts/v-deo.html Difference is huge. Which mean in LG I have to end up using Black EQ but problem is when I increase, it makes more gray haze and make it harder to see in dark area.

So many reviews I love it. Is MSI optic qdf still the best monitor for fps? I'm having tough time picking a 1440p monitor to make my 6800xt work hard so I can let 3700x not bottleneck
Hi guys, I am just wondering, is LG32GP850 suitable for ASUS ROG gl532lv-rtx2060, i7-10875H, 32gb ram, 240hz, 3ms as an external monitor? I am afraid the monitor may stutter when playing games such as metro exodus and destiny 2.

I just like to make certain I could use this with my AMD-pc: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 Ghz, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. I suppose I wont make a mistake if I buy this monitor then? Thank you!
I plugged in headphones, but no sound. Any hints?
So many reviews I love it. Is MSI optic qdf still the best monitor for fps? I'm having tough time picking a 1440p monitor to make my 6800xt work hard so I can let 3700x not bottleneck
That review is coming this month. 27 inch model.
Thanks you brother now I'm patiently waiting 🤘

Hi guys, I am just wondering, is LG32GP850 suitable for ASUS ROG gl532lv-rtx2060, i7-10875H, 32gb ram, 240hz, 3ms as an external monitor? I am afraid the monitor may stutter when playing games such as metro exodus and destiny 2.
What are those speaker stands? it looks so nice!
They’re for speakers called the S4. I can’t remember the name exactly but you’ll find it if you look for ‘audio engine speaker stands’
