It´s so fun to see George again as an adult, I was his nanny when he was 9 years old. The house was wonderful and the private beach to the right when you come from inside, was also very nice. I wish him best of luck with the restoration.
Wow, David, I was transported there. There really is an attractive energy about that place! No wonder they wanted to film there! I am not just talking as a Bond fan, but as a person interested in history. I got this same feeling, when as an active duty Army officer, I visited the fort where the National Anthem was written & the first shots of the revolutionary was were fired. There were still cannon rounds embedded in the walls and as I touched one of those, it was like an electric shock went through me, and I immediately knew what the soldiers, just like me, 100 years before, felt during that battle! Amazing experience then and now! Thank you so much!
I know how you feel. There's nothing like being in places where huge historical events have happened. I had the same electric feelings when I visited the beaches at Normandy. You can clearly see where the US, UK and Canadian forces stormed the beaches and where the Nazis tried to fight them back. Amazing 😉
Sean🙏was and still is the ultimate ‘bond’ for me for many reasons mainly because I still love the 60’s today. After 57 years since this iconic location was used it’s been battered by the storms so many times since and I feel that back then films like Thunderball were so glamorous and the locations to It’s like a holiday you go to a place and you have a wonderful romantic holiday and you go back say 30-40 years and the place has ‘gone down the pan’ 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🏴
I find it hard to believe he does hold it in the same reverence. It’s clearly been very, very neglected for many many years. I’m sure that the bus loads of tourists coming through are paying money to visit and take in the sights. That place has not seen any TLC for a long time. Seems like it’s a good little money earner for the owner.
Hello, I worked in Nassau in 1970 as an acrobatic dancer with Tibor Rudas. Don Regan and his Orchestra were the band - now, there was a member of that band that had , I believe, that house, the house with the shark pool in Bond film- they called him Ziggy- if I remember correctly he played trombone…
It's amazing how so much of it is still recognisable. Even though some of it has changed. Like the concrete area where you said was originally grassed where Largo and Fiona are watching Bond's seaplane. I really hope it gets fixed up and brought back to life again after so many years. I absolutely loved the reenactment and cameo appearance by Luciana. I didn't even spot her until you pointed her out
I love "Thunderball". I was lucky enough to meet Tom Jones. He was signing a couple of CD's for me and I said, "Thanks for "Thunderball", Mr. Jones" and he said, "You're welcome, mate !".
Trully amazing. I was there two months ago and visited the place (and all the other Bond locations in the Bahamas). I met mr Mosko's wife which was very kind and polite. (I am Greek and she has Greek ancestors). She let us (me and my wife) to enter and tour the whole house and take photos and videos!!!! I wish i could be there again now with all of you
@@TheBondExperience Congratulations for everything David. I am a huge Bond fan since i was 9 years old (i am now 48) and an active member of the "James Bond Greek Fans" community. I am also a huge fan of your channel. As fans we share a lot in common. We both: a) Consider Sean Connery the best James Bond ,and b) Believe that Thunderball is the best classic Bond film ever. You' re doing a great job. Best regards from me and all the Greek fans
When you see what happened to „Robin‘s Nest“ where the original Magnum,p.i. was filmed it‘s so great to see others value the meaning of such a place, hold it in high regard and maintain / restore it. Thanks for the video and bravo to the owner. All great to hear and see.
Another cool video! Love seeing the former Bond locations, I wish I had a video of my time in Udaipur, India in the summer of 1995, I visited many bond locations and even took a rickshaw ride up to the Monsoon Palace and was allowed to go inside. I do have pictures, your videos make many people happy!
"The sun, she is a-shining"(!), bless you, David! SO cool that the place exists to this day and thank you for being there and sharing it with us! I have such a weird love / hate relationship with Thunderball. At once, my favorite, but, later, not so much. Never Say Never Again made it feel even worse. And I don't hate that movie either, entirely, but they're obviously twins. Yet, it's a massive Bond film that remains a force of nature! The Junkanoo of Bond films! Great music and action and fashion.
Loved this video , thank you. I first saw Thunderball on British TV when I was 8 years old . I was Memorised and watch the movie fully focused and engrossed. Even now a couple of times a year I can still enjoy the Film and love quoting the go too lines , annoying everyone, but I don't care ( hehehe ) 😉...
Thank you for taking us to see the grounds. I am thrilled that the house is still there but so disappointed that the current owners clearly don’t have the ability to keep the place up. Situations like that usually end up with the house being sold and eventually demolished (Robin’s Nest in Hawaii being a great example). Please keep us updated on the house’s status.
TB is my favorite Bond movie, I have it Blue Ray and enjoy it every now and then, incredible see the place, although sad, excellent Largo replica Thank you for the video
Awesome video, amazing location. Kudos to the owner for being so awesome to the Bond community, so grateful we have locations like this today may they remain forever!!

Thanks for the amazing tour and interview! Looking forward to buying a copy of that "Bond in the Bahamas" book, and seeing what George does with the place!
Thanks David. It would have been fun if you noticed Fiona walking by and saying, "I think I got picked up by her the other night. Does she drive a light blue Mustang?" Great video.
That was FUN, thanks a lot! A nice tour around, an interesting interview, and then Luciana shows up :-) Hopefully, the place will be in better shape in some years.
Hi David, I have been really looking forward to this visit to Palmyra. Glad you had your Rum Collins. I hope you were wearing your brown leather sandals to complete your outfit. Great video, thank you.
I would love to contact the owner and see if I can get on a 400-year payment plan to purchase the property. Glad the property is being preserved and that fans are respectful when they visit.
Hey David, Another fun and informative video. I’ve been looking forward to highlights from your Bahamas junket. You didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait for more. Thanks!
I’ve just seen some newer footage of Palmyra and it seems that the shark pool wall has collapsed. Such a shame to see it this way but fingers crossed they will get it back to its former glory! Great video!
I really loved this. I do movie location videos on my channel here in Australia and really envy your opportunity to see this sacred place from Thunderball. It's even more interesting to me when the location is run down as is the case sometimes. I hope you do more Bond locations.
Fantastic! Would love to see such an iconic place.Saw Thunderball a couple of weeks ago at a local cinema. It is still as fresh and exciting as when I saw it as a 10 year old in the mid 70's. (A double bill with YOLT if I remember correctly).Do you thnk George would let me climb all over the roof?😄
Thank you, thank you very much, David!!!! I´m overhelmed by this video. remarkble Luciana cameo apperance. Hope we i´ll seen Palmyra back to 1965 in all there glory full recovered and reconstructed. Good luck George Mosko for that task. Best regards David,
There is so much potential with the location. It would be amazing to be the caretaker of this iconic location and run the restoration of it. To me the potential is controlled tourism at set hours, and having the ability to have either a low impact bar for fan weddings, or one room/area for a paid staying guest. So much low impact potential.
I've always thought it must be a double edge sword having a property featured in a popular movie/TV show. It can add a lot of value to the property but you have to put up with people encroaching on your property and privacy. That said, this is one amazing property. I couldn't imagine being lucky enough to live there.
That James Bond replica linen shirt is amazing! Where did you get it? I know Thomas Mason is high quality material. The guy who played Largo in your video with you was excellent. His voice was amazing.
Thunderball, the best Bond-film ever! The best story, the best locations, the best song and lyrics. The song actually tells who Bond is and why he acts the way he does!

This home needs to be restored to the Thunderball era. I would be delighted to stay there for a weekend.
This was great stuff Thunderball is my favorite movie with my favorite Bond girls.
The best of the best!
Awesome! Thunderball is my favorite of all time! If I was there, I couldn’t contain myself. Then Fiona walks up! Oh my!
Good seeing people like George keeping Bond history alive and restore the property .

Terrific stuff, sir. Hope the place is renovated and sparkling again. Love the interviews, the re-enactments and cameo by Luciana Paluzzi. Wow.

The shark pool has collapsed into the sea recently. No renovation has been done for years and I suspect none will be which is a great shame.
