Hiking and hunting the hills and volcanoes of Central America in the 80’s and 90’s gave Amós Rodriguez a foundation for his ancestral skills life’s practice. Growing up in the context of the U.S. financed civil war in El Salvador increased his urban and wilderness survival and awareness skills; both of which are essential for striving in our modern society.
During the post-war period, Amós assisted rural communities devastated by the violence. These experiences increased his humanism and highlighted the need to be an advocate for secured and regenerative communities.
Amós has been perfecting his craft as a hunter and primitive skills practitioner over the years. He is a humanist, an artist, and a guide. His life intention is to build a better future for the next seven generations.

I really enjoyed watching your side of the adventure too. Don't beat yourself up. You did an awesome job out there. And you spent so much time hiking and fishing, you were truly limited to the other projects you want to do. Hindsight is always 20/20. Adventures are where you learn. Keep up the good work, and definitely show us how to use that rabbit stick. All the best.

I thought it would of cracked, but you fashioned it and cured it patiently and it worked great! You've got some good fishing skills and that smoked Coho looked delicious! To me, you are a natural survivalist. So many things that you put your mind to you have made work for you. I guess the bow drill attempt was an exception because you forced this task on yourself. Had you made it a game, it might have been different. I so much enjoyed watching your and Greg's videos. You two are very different. Lesson for next time might be to avoid investing tremulous energy, and focus attempting something that didn't have a great pay off survivor wise. You can learn bow drill on a full stomach! Exploring new fising/hunting/foraging opportunities might have paid off better.l for you both.

Just subscribed. Just watched the 30 day challenge on Oven Rocky Mountain Bushcraft channel. Enjoyed the video. Now I will watch yours. There was a time, when in this world, people everywhere, everyday, were trying to exist. They had in common being born, needing oxygen, food, water, and shelter. Lack of any one of these things, could cause you to exist no longer. Nothing wrong with trying to buffer ourselves from the hardships of this world, but we must not create an alternate reality in our head, because Reality never goes away. Reality is what provides a Common Sense and a proper Perspective of our existence!
