Iv been using reason since 2003 and for me the amount of extra bloat and pointless graphics are taking its toll. When I produce a song that has say 20 or 30 tracks depending on the vsts it really bogs down making work almost impossible as it starts skipping and becomes really sluggish. Then I gotta start bouncing and re bouncing . Im just done . As much as I love reason its time to end the marriage. The support for Licensing and having the same issues as you did, along with the direction Reason has suddenly started heading in the last 3 or so years, they've lost a customer. I will no longer buy any Reason products and will never spend any money with them again.
Wait till you venture out and see how awful the other daws are. Ableton is the most new user friendly but damn it feels like trying to program through a 1 button lcd screen. Bitwig is fking awesome but takes a while to get comfortable with its inpenatrable user interface , (but worth persevering) but none of then hold a candle to reason imo.
I've been using Reason from V3, without any major issue. Support are mostly helpful and the reason comunity also are helpful. Tried other DAWs but not many VSTs, instead I use mostly rack extensions. All DAWs have strengths and weaknesses it is personal preference after all and I can still use reason v3 on an old xp laptop and use those projects on a win10 on reason v12.

Reason has over seven hundred instruments, effects, and players available on it's website...that isn't enough for you? Seven hundred is too small a number? do you have a link to where the "One licence per single person?" is mentioned for Reason ? What's said is " At any given time, you may only use the Software on as many computers as your license permits. @@Skulljerker I don't mean to argue.. I personally downloaded version 8.5 to do a test on an Android Windows emulator.. there was even a download for propellerhead rebirth.. that was in like 97 or 8. You probably know what you're doing. I'm just suggesting look again on your licenses page in your reason account. I'm too lazy to look right now but I'm 97% sure you can download any version you had a license to.
Im now switching to Reaper and so far Reaper is all the hype that people have been talking about.
30 tracks of vsts lolz you must have a supercomputer
Just upgraded to Reaper 7

I've made the switch to Reaper as well, and I'll never look back. The versatility and level of customisation is amazing!
I had exactly the same problem with the same support person. Was an absolute asshole to me, a paying customer of multiple licenses. I've been a customer for over 20 years and now I'm ditching Reason.
I’ve been treated very poorly by support.
Rudeness actually-
Clueless.
They won’t get one more red scent out of me .
I’ll crack to that

I've been using Reason from V3, without any major issue. Support are mostly helpful and the reason comunity also are helpful. Tried other DAWs but not many VSTs, instead I use mostly rack extensions.
All DAWs have strengths and weaknesses it is personal preference after all and I can still use reason v3 on an old xp laptop and use those projects on a win10 on reason v12.
I found the upgrade on sale for £65 … else I would not have upgraded
Since they changed their logo I had some suspects…I stop at version 10
Yep kida feels like a different crappy DAW now
There old Logo is being used and sold on T shirts from a Tech UA-camr who owns the copyright protection some how, probably because Reasons protection of the design was not protected outside of the EU so this American company took it and registered it and Reason obviously failed to win the rights for there own iconic logo.

Another bad thing about the latest version of Reason is that most of the Waves plugins don’t even show when you go to create - effects - waves. You can still search and view them in the browser, but it’s annoying as hell. Appalling.
Reason has over seven hundred instruments, effects, and players available on it's website...that isn't enough for you? Seven hundred is too small a number? Are you a music producer or are you a gear junkie who just loves buying (or stealing) plugins?
Also, if you get your jollies using third party plugins, why the f-ck would pick Reason as your DAW? It's stupid.
All my waves plug-ins show up on pc & Mac
Gimme my ball, I'm going home! 😂😂
Isn’t each user entitled to 1 license that you can use on 1 main computer (no login) and another computer (login version)? What use case would you have to buy multiple licenses under the same login?
Its not the point: I bought them, I shold have the right to use them and upgrade them as I please. I work in situatios that I cannot depend on donges, internet conections or any sot of restrictions from what PC is it regitered to (especially Live). That’s not right. You paid for two licenses now one is null and void with no prior notice and reasonable opinions. Is that even legal? I’ve also stopped upgrading Reason and barely use the version 11 I have. The competition has surpassed them in my opinion. Think of how long it took to get Reason VST, drag and drop midi from players into DAW of your choice, still can’t load VSTs in the plugin version, etc. Instead of focusing on improving the product they kill licences lol. Yeah lets watch how long the company survives. Probably time to move on

I left reason after many years because of these issues...i bit the bullet and bought the real vst versions of some plug in like spire. Realized spire vst version runs way better than the RE version and I can use more instances than in reason. I own Abalten lite licence and I would not buy a new Abalten 10 and then go upgrade from Abalten lite to Abalten 11. I would obviously upgrade to Abalten lite to Abalten 11 as they expect you to so why should ReasonStudios be any different? Did you not read the Terms where it says One licence per single person?
do you have a link to where the "One licence per single person?" is mentioned for Reason ?
What's said is " At any given time, you may only use the Software on as many computers as your license permits. Unless specifically specified, licenses are single user licenses and may only be used on one computer at a time." That's EXACTLY why he bought 2 licenses, to legally use 2 instances of Reason on 2 computers, 1 license per computer at any one time.
@@KoshDukai He had two licences one for Reason lite and one for the full Reason software. Reason lite is a separate product to the full version of Reason and the user can use both softwares on a single computer. You cant upgrade Reason lite to a newer version of Reason and then upgrade a second copy of Reason because you would have two of the same products you also should not be upgrading Reason lite if you already have a the full version of Reason. By upgrade it actually means because you own Reason lite you get a discount when buying the full DAW. Reason lite is a separate licence from the full Reason licence.
@@HOLLASOUNDS "You cant upgrade Reason lite to a newer version of Reason", no you can (or at least you could) side/upgrade any Reason Adapted/Limited/Essentials/Intro/Lite version to the full latest one (with varying upgrade pricing, or course).
