@@foshizol I'm trying to think of a way to describe it without using words that will mark my comment as spam.... Do you have Ableton? Do you remember how you installed it the first time? Just do that process again.
we need stems separaton, for a daw that's at the cutting edge of djing, I don't know why they don't do it. Studio one did it recently, FL Studio, Spectralayers for cubase and others ... I really have a big grudge against Ableton at the moment.
Ableton has a lot to do before they get to stem seperation. Like multi-clip length adjustment, hybrid audio/midi tracks, freezing groups, etc etc. Stem separation is cool but not a must. There are many services that do this and it absolutely doesn't need to be integrated into the daw.
So pretty much the auto shift lets you change the key of say a sampled vocal to fit your project scale? Like sampling a commercial song and flipping it to fit your song?
Thx for again another good tutorial on new features. Already a PML customer and can highly recommend, for example beginner to advanced was a pleasant surprise, the first half very basic but the second half quickly adresses this and shows the common mistakes beginners do and how to fix them. Loving it so far, and cant't wait to dig in the more genre specific courses. On the updated features, this nicely addresses the main gripes like the limiter. One thing I hope they'd still add is an adjustable (like display every last played 1 bar or other predefined length) waveform display to place anywhere in the effects chain to compliment the spectrum analyzer. This would largely benefit sound design (like spotting phase issues) and further reduce the need for 3rd party tools (like waveobserver or similar).
Before I updated Ableton from 12 to 12.1, I could zoom in on a long sample anywhere using the magnifying glass tool. Now, after the update, I can't seem to do that anymore. It's making it a lot harder to chop up samples. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it?
Drum sampler is interesting, but I want to be able to use a few FX modules simultaneously. They really limited users to using only ONE slot of this thing?
The fact they don’t let us just update our copy of ableton is gay like why do we have to download beta it’s mad annoying this is why I bought fl studio
Because it is still in beta. Ableton will not release anything official until most of the bugs are sorted. If you want to try the beta and participate as a tester you can do so. Whining for beta software is just nonsense
Regarding the free updates you must understand, Ableton is not Image Line, both companies are using different approaches and marketing strategies. FL Studio is not charging for updates but at the cost they always have to aim for beginner producers as almost only them are looking to buy a primary DAW. It is super important for Image Line to focus on appealing and kinda superficial tactics and "improvements" to allure new producers (most of them under 25 years old) Ableton's main clients are older. Ableton needs to charge as they are not focused on newcomers, that makes them work harder as they need to sell their product to professionals. Two different approaches that can be very well seen in both DAWS. One of them is a total cluster fuck asking for disorganization (I worked with FL for almost 15 years and the workflow was always a mess) and the other a more balanced and clean, I am not talking about the "sound" but the organization and current tools that make an optimal workflow. I tried to return to FL after using Ableton, which was simply impossible.
Great overview!
Super updates, new limiter was surly needed.
You forgot to say about High, Mid, Bass functions in the Autoshift. Btw. this is sick update.
Really useful. Thanks
can't wait, when will it be out ?
Monday
@@lk0707 when did they say that? I appreciate the info!
if you own a copy of ableton, just go to their beta testing hub and you'll get access to all of their stuff early on
Nice overview, thank you!

These updates are so sick. WHEN tho?
Are the FX only for Ableton Suite?
Thanks for the update! Do you already know when it will come out
It's out now!

10 years Reason studios technologies making it's way into Ableton but in a good shape ...
Tells a lot about the future of both compagnies ...
1 question : WHEN?
I bet October 8th the same day Ableton Move is supposed to be announced .

Always sick, my fav guy over there…thanks…🖤🔊🤙🏽
Can you automate the fx type?
Yes, there are two knobs below the fx pad
@@Brositive The type. Not the fx parameters. Like using two different fx by automating the fx engine type in different sections of the track.
THANKS

Does the Standard Edition get any of these new devices?
Will this also be in the Standard Version?

It's basically Ableton's equivalent of the infamous Antares Autotune plugin
Cries in Ableton 11 Suite
Cries in 10 suite
Any sign of when we are getting the update for these features
Yes, when?? 😅
Am I crazy? The bass in the Limiter example is off key, right? RIGHT?!
If you are crazy, then I am too.
The bass is clearly off key !
still hoping they make drum sampler adsr
Ableton is lacking on Stem separation features, FL and Logic already got solid alternatives, they need to implement it ASAP
I agree. However logic JUST got this feature so I'm not counting Ableton too far behind yet
FL doesn't even have MPE support. Pick your poison in my books.
Plenty of 3rd plugins will separate stems for you.
Gief Black Friday sale to I can upgrade!
9:45 This is called an harmonizer.
Does this come with Ableton Live Lite 12??
No. You have to pay for useful features.
16 track limit is reason enough to upgrade or use another daw.

Nope you can use multiple FX, the configured parameters don't change if you switch to another fx, just one is displayed at the same time
And now linear phase eq please 😅 this is super necessary imo
when tho
We need automatic pitch detection of samples
I need the Vertical Zoom Wave. I need to use other softwares to do that.
If I'm not wrong I guess there is an option to zoom audio wave in Ableton..this feature is implemented in recent version
Auto Shift literally saved me $40 from buying Chroma, or even $190 for Pitchmap XD
Wao~🎉
longtime ableton user waiting for stem separation
Lot of 3rd party plugins will so that for ya.
When is variaudio ? Newtone? Melodyne.. or abletons pitch editor coming ? 😂
When is ara support coming
Never, go with cubase

Sample players that don't record in directly are not samplers :
I really think Ableton missed the opportunity of naming the Drum Sampler properly.
It's clearly Sampler -> Simpler -> Simplest 😅

Nice video, but the bass in the limiter example is terribly off key !
they keep talking about this, but it sure has been a long time. unusual.

I don’t understand why we need 3 samplers - each doing something different but not all in one. It’s lame
Probably bc the code is already written, so it's easier to make a new device for a specific purpose
And yet the premium sampler can’t do what the free ones can
