It’s crazy how I had this man 5 years ago and now he’s doing UA-cam. I’m glad for you Mr. Burke I hope this goes well for you!
Brian abreu lol! We all grow, man! Spread the word. Share this like it’s your job!
I realize it's quite randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream new tv shows online?
@Roman Mark I use Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
Perfect, just i was waiting for
Glad you found it helpful!
“If there’s one thing you can count on in life, it’s that people are often stupid” -Mr Burke
New favorite quote
Evan Grant it’s infinitely true!
That looks great! I’ve fallen in love with 12v strip LEDs and 5mm barrel plugs lately. One end of my boiler room never had lights before and now the difference is day and night (hahaha)
Scott Kraft lol! Awesome! It’s really odd because it didn’t realize just how dark it was until I put the new lights in! HUGE difference!
You did a great job on this video!
Thanks you!
Very good info once again Mr Burke. Thanks for sharing.
Violet Henning Thanks, violet! It means a lot me that you’re all so dedicated to checking my stuff out!
You are mkst welcome. Keep teaching us. It is really adding value to our lives.
thank u mr burke, very cool 👏👏
You're very welcome! what did you like about it?
That is a great find, I couldn't find any at my local hardware store but I installed Barrina T8 Lights from amazon and they are without a doubt the Best Bang for your buck. I now have 60,000 Lumens in my garage! for under $200!
Outstanding! Glad the video could be of assistance!
Dude. You reached out to me in Maker's Playground and I watched a few videos. Love your humor and delivery. Subscribed. Great work!
Monkaboo's Projects thanks so much! I really appreciate the positive vibes! Welcome to the crew!
Thanks for this no nonsense explanation.
Glad it was helpful!

*Sleep: Am I a joke to you?*
another well-executed video! i just don't know how your little workshop adventures are always so satisfying, perhaps it's the way that the video progresses? i can strongly assert that the newly inserted diagram scene, with layering lights over the drawn workshop, really helped to mold my perception of the situation at hand: better than just explanation and a quick tour of the room. such add-on feature may seem unnecessary to some, but it makes each video that much more appealing to watch! similar diagrams were shown in your past videos alongside little acting/animation/video add-ons, to which i hope to see in future videos as well!
on the topic of new videos, i would say that it's perfectly fine to take a break once in a while with the uploads. especially if it concerns losing hours of sleep due to filming, editing, teaching, family, etc... the growth of your channel would definitely happen progressively, so i'd suggest not pushing yourself to fatigue for the sake of uploading on schedule, we would understand and still support the channel regardless. quality > quantity. that's all i have to say for now, have a nice evening!
You rock. That’s all I have say for now. Notes taken!
hey burke great vid dude, I have listend to your advice and started my own channel! I will not be plugging my channel in the comments of YOUR video. OK now what i am sure u wait for in the comments of all your videos; my advice: great idea with the lighting, I wonder who gave you that idea and great idea with giving the audience something to wait for by telling them that u will explain the "tree table" also for one of your videos u should do something involving art as u know me I would be happy to help u some how ( i will further explain at school)
We’re just about done with our basement art studio reno and I’m JUST learning about dotless LED lights!
How long do these kinds of light strips last? For my working studio they’d be on for at least 8 hours a day. When they burn out, how complex is it to “change the light bulb”.
Quite easy. From what I’m seeing online, with any led, you’re looking at around 40,000 hours. Thats around 5,000 days. Or 13.6 years.
Now, if that’s entirely accurate, no clue, but that’s what I’m seeing.
Notifications squad!!!!!!!
Do a time lapse sort of vid on a restoration of your work space. Maybe just reorganizing tools.
James K I have one coming up in a few weeks of a huge partial restoration I did on a drill press! Awesome idea!!!!
Did you put the lights on a remote switch so you could turn them on and off without grabbing the thumbwheels?
I have my outlets all hooked up to the room switch, and the room has 3 different sections. So I just come in, hit the regular wall switches and they all turn on
Hi mr. Burke I’m here to watch your vid
Jailbreaker 1981 Great! Then you’re in the right place!
The irony when you're watching this video at 1230 in the morning. LOL
Lmao!
Whenever I mount stuff I'm always worried about it pulling through the sheetrock. What's the recommendation? Mollies? Drill into studs?
David Plass in this instance the lights I used weigh very little, so I literally just drilled into the ceiling’s sheet rock. If you are using heavier ones them I’d def shoot for the studs.
@@BurkeMakesStuff Got it. Studs it is. LOL
Hi Burke! I'm having an issue with the cheap LED lights in my garage causing issues with the video camera. (changing the frame rate doesn't help much...) Have you had any issues with the LED's messing with your video and if so, how did you solve it?
Thank you!
Absolutely. It wouldn’t be changing the frame rate of the camera, but what’s happening is that the stroboscopic effect of the lights your using make it look like there is something wrong with you camera, though there isn’t. Led lights flicker in the camera due to the stroboscopic effect. When the video frame rate (FPS) does not match the light frequency at which the LEDs turn on and off per second, the screen starts to flicker. It seems that there is a problem with the screen, even though there is nothing wrong with it. The issue is the lights. That won’t stop. You need to get ones that work with video. The better ones are designed to a deferent frequency that doesn’t show up on camera.
@@BurkeMakesStuff hey thank you!
Did the eye screw go into any wood? If not then would it support the weight?
these things weigh nothing. incredibly light. some are in wood, many are not.
I am half stupid. I went to the store today grabbed a 2ft of the same light. Peeked inside saw no hardware. Put it back. Came home. Looked up "set up shop light" to figure out the hardware issue. Solved🎉 i can go buy the light next weekend.
Outstanding!
On the first light you hung on the sloped part of the ceiling it appears that you hung it on a slope. The idea of the chain is to be able to hang the light horizontally so you have even light on your surface. If I’m right, just add some longer chain on the high side to make the light level.
I eventually did exactly that. At first I thought I’d run them along the slope to leave the headspace open, but it turns out that they are much better closer and parallel to the floor.
One thing I am curious about is the color temp of the lights. I have seen 4000K and 6000K and I don't know which is best for lighting a workshop.
Depends on how you want your shop to look/feel. I tend to stay away from cooler lights, as I feel the color they put off is too “sterile” I tend to go for the warmer end of the spectrum.
Can I use these outdoor for a pool cage?
Some are rated for outdoors. I don’t believe these ones are though.
Great tut. But I think you should use less warm light and go on cold light.
I hate the look of cold light. It’s just a preference.
@@BurkeMakesStuff I see 🙈
BURKE, SPOT ON! KISS: Keep It Simple, SMART! . . . . . . .
Always!
There will be less lights in the Clearance section since Mr.Burke just educated 600 people about reading directions
Ankki Dong oh no! My fatal mistake! Lol
just leave a shit load of wires hanging from the ceiling lol
Not sure what you mean. Very few wires. Neat. No mess.
You need to seriously work on garage organization
I love having everything out and around. Thanks though
Use a toaster
And a Bathtub
Bad mix.
@@BurkeMakesStuff wym i can't have toast while taking a bath
Of course you can HAVE toast in the bath, but I wouldn’t recommend MAKING toast in the bath... I hear death is pretty Permanent...
Also when u r not narrating speak a little slower
Tbh I was going to be that stupid person before this video 😅
Lol. Well the. I’m glad you got to watch it!
I would have loved to watch this video but unfortunately it would involve listening to this doofus and that i cannot do for one more second
Thanks for the comment. The algorithm loves feedback of all kinds.
